Lenyűgöző előadás! Köszönet a szerzőnek, Kodály Zoltánnak, a zenekarnak és a karmesternek!
Thanks for posting. I'd never heard this before and it's beautiful! I need to check out more Kodaly
God this brings back memories! I played this as part of wind orchestra a long time ago and it still gives me chills.
One of Kodaly's greatest works for sure. And so much respect for Vasary who was my favorite pianist in the sixties (being DG's star Chopin pianist).
Maybe I don't know enough of his other works (beyond the "Dances of.. " works, etc) But this seems to me his greatest work. It certainly deserves to be heard far more often, on the radio and in live concert. Not likely to happen though in a culturally backward in a place like here in LA.
I wish I could go back and continue playing this amazing piece w/ my youth orchestra before quarantine
I love this work. I am reminded of Sibelius' "Pohjola's Daughter" which I also rate very highly.
Dicséret Vásáry Tamásnak és zenekarának!
that's the biggest viola section i've ever seen
unott timpanizás demoralizálja Vásáryt
