Mr Das is the best in business. If you listen carefully at 9.40, he mentioned the real reason of decrease in Indian GDP in 2018 last quarters and 2019, the big shadow non banking company was IL&FS. The note to IMF was really brilliant.

He is no Harvard, Wharton PHD in Economics.
But perhaps the best central bank governor in the world right now. Very contrarian and far sighted and not blinded by postulates of academicians and theorists. He understands how Indian markets work and how they are very different from what is taught in Economics. Under his governorship, India has weathered energy and food security wars? High commodity prices, covid, Banking system cleanup and FED increase rates by 500 bps. Still currency is strong with strong foreign reserves, and good capital inflow. India also got accepted in Emerging market bond indices at Indias terms. Common man has suffered relatively low inflation. India has also introduced CBDC and scaled UPI like 20X.
How he did it: he has the full backing of the political leadership and works in coordination with the Goverment in total sync.

Also he makes no qualms about the fact that Monetary and Fiscal policy go hand in hand unlike the FED in the US which always cucks out on the US gov fiscal deficit.

22.30 here is where RBI and the finance ministry made a mistake because the prices of vegetables and groceries are still high, not even middle-income families can purchase whole weekend vegetable baskets. The situation of lower-middle and low-income families is a complete disaster, they purchase only basic vegetables such as onions, tomatoes. You should do something about it, Shaktikant Da you are the best but please think about this people too.
