i hate watching modern demonstrations of the koshiki no kata because tori never takes uke's balance. I love that when you watch Kano sensei demonstrate, you see the kata's martial effectiveness.
Jigoro Kano writes that this kata should be performed with the idea of wearing heavy armour. I Imagine that unarmoured opponent its not so easy to get off balance.
