Antonio, You are an inspiration. I am 34 years old and currently doing my science pre-requisites as a post bacc (business degree) student. I hope to apply to medical school in June of 2026 once I complete all my science classes. Your journey is an inspiration and encouragement for us older non traditional students… it’s also an inspiration as a human experience, pushing yourself beyond what most would ever dream of. I am praying for you and your family. My hope is that you are okay! Use that med school training and listen to your body and don’t take any chances. You got this. Thanks for the updates, stay strong brother!
Same! I am 35 and a Tech worker that has decided to switch. I started undergrad this fall. I won't apply to medical school until 39. His story encouraged me to go for it as well.
@jusblaze99 I just concluded an involuntary 11 month layoff. I decided I needed more stability and to do something I really find worth doing. I am still in high level data and analytics positions. I have a new job I've been on for a month.
Brother, Based on this and the previous videos is pretty sharp that your health is hitting hard, and I mean for months through different ways. I was pretty upset when I saw you letting it go, but now I see. If you keep pushing studies now it will eventually drag you down. People says it is almost there, but not really: it’s a long journey within USMLE 1, 2, residency match, residency working hours… It’s 5, 6 years ahead taking really hard to be full fledged. It’s tough enough 100%. You are winner, brother, not only because your accomplishments so far, but because what you ran through and endure. “One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.” (Sigmund Freud)
I hope everything goes well. Sometimes, when we’re placed in a very stressful situation for a long stretch of time, and go from 100 to 0 in a split second, the body and mind does strange things to get back into equilibrium. No one knows you better than you. Take care brotha. I’m still rooting for you.
I was fasting and carnivore but I had a lot of stress. The stress affected my metabolism. I got a blood glucose monitor/CGM. My glucose was all over the place. I have since become more stable. I use a lumen now and it really helps. My headaches have gone way down and I am able to burn more fat now and stay in ketosis. I hope that you feel better soon 🙏🏽
Antonio, glad to hear you are with your family, helping teach your child driving, and taking the time you need to address health. You are an inspiration to so many people on this channel and I would guess many others who have not seen the channel. Keep on doing what you need and want to do and thank you for showing us that we all have OPTIONS and to both strive for goals and to enjoy life and enjoy the processes we go through during our work and life journeys. Sometimes difficult, sometimes easier. So much still for everyone here to do! Peace!
I’m praying for you brother! I’m so happy you chose your Life and Family over your medical degree. Thank you for keeping us posted and btw please get a full body MRI stat! Respect and well wishes always!🫡 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm also dealing with uncertain health & career outcomes, following you on your journey has been a true help. Thanks for everything doc, wishing you a speedy recovery, keep us posted!!
I am wishing you all the best and pray for you to get back to normal health. Please don't stop posting and do what ever you feel is right for you. Shut down the negative talkers and be you. Keep following your instincts. I am curious what the appointment will tell you. We are here for you 🙏💯
For hydration perhaps you can try 10 oz of spring water...juice of a whole lime... a teaspoon of coconut crystals and a pinch of sea salt...also consider a magnesium supplement and incorporating fresh ginger or a ginger supplement. Keep your colon as clear as possible.
I hear you loud and clear. Our most important deposit we can make as Blackmen in our emotional bank accounts is in our Health and Family. If you haven’t pls get a full work up I personally waited til 56 to get my first colonoscopy (thankfully negative ) but I was playing a vicarious game. Blessings and be Blessed.
Dr. Antonio, what helped me when I felt weak was listening to this prayer for healing by Gabriel Fernandez. It made me feel better after listening to it. You may have to listen more than a few times. Just a suggestion🙂
You definitely made the right decision! You can't get back family and personal time. Truly know your family supported you, but are also glad that your at home. I think you need an IV more so than food...take care. ONLY YOU KNOW WHATS BEST!
I don't watch your videos a lot so I don't know what your baseline is, but I am noticing a bit of drooping on the left side of your mouth when you are speaking... Does anyone else see it? Perhaps you may want to get that checked out.
I see, thanks for sharing that. I was concerned you may be having a stroke, one of my patients had a stroke last night so it's fresh on my mind. Best of luck to you sir, hope you feel better.

Your comment is a fact ...

Gardening is so relaxing. Praying for your sustained health.

Your videos are still very cool. Im relieved. I hope your health gets better though sir, I am a bit worried, Andre
Dr. Antonio, I hope you recover very soon!
I hope you see your PCP and find out what's going on. Eight days of a headache and a 25-pound loss is a big deal. Prayers.
Keep the channel going
Super cool garden! I actually learned to garden this year & it's been a lot of fun! I hope you get to feeling better, man.
Blessings to you Brother and 🙏🏻
Take it one day at a time brother, take care of your health and family. School isn't going anywhere.

Please please take care of yourself!
I hope you feel and get better. You would benefit from putting up a wire fence around your garden to keep the rabbits out.
I found the hole they were coming through. I haven't had any problems in the past 3 or 4 days. Thank you though.

Body &(mind) is probably still on *Go. May take time to adjust the the realitive, non-pace.
What's with the Law School IG reference-lol 🧐 Depression? Prayers-Be Well!!
I think your body took a shock from you leaving medical school
I hope you're okay. Maybe this is just depression.
You need to go to the ER

I had a stroke several years ago that was misdiagnosed as Bell's Palsy. I still have nerve damage on the left side of my face that is permanent.
I see, thanks for sharing that. I was concerned you may be having a stroke, one of my patients had a stroke last night so it's fresh on my mind. Best of luck to you sir, hope you feel better.
