Revert here from catholicism.! I can relate. Im so ashamed that I ever did this, yani prayed before a statue. And even though I know that all my past sins were forgiven the moment I took my shahada, I still feel so much shame that I ever did that. I cry when I remember ALLAH(swt)'s love and mercy on me by guiding me to Islam. AlhamduLILLAH ala neematil Islam.

Loved this piece. Reminds me when I was a child of 10. I was walking past a church and they had a statue of Jesus and a dog was pooing next to it and soon after flies were all over poo. As soon as someone went past the flies would fly off and some would land on the statue. Purely by chance my Islamic teacher was going past. His words were. Now you see the reason why we do not bow or pray to statues the next day we had a lesson on Statues. And the reason why we as Muslims do not have any image of Muhammad PBUH at all. Thank you for sharing the video. Got me emotional too.

No, you should wish prayers and peace from Allah, to be transfered to Prophet Muhammad. You can find that in Qur'an Chapter 33, the second half of Verse 56
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا .
Allah is ordering you to pray to Prophet Muhammad, but then you ask Allah to pray to Prophet Muhammad !🤔🤔🤔.
You should say, atleast a Duaa like :
اللَّهُمَّ آتِ مُحَمَّداً الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، إَنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ.
This means you're praying to Prophet Muhammad.
But when you say
ٱللَّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
You're asking Allah to pray to prophet Muhammad, but who told you to ask Allah to pray to prophet Muhammd ? That's not your job.

The true Christianity was free from idolatry. Some of the passages in the Bible condemn idolatry yet someone introduced it and blasphemed God and entire Christianity followed the idol worship. Now this gentleman has undone the past wrong and corrected and it must be appreciated. More than the Muslims the true Christians and the reverts to Islam detest idolatry. It is incompatible to the sensible persons.

As much as we like the main message of the sermon, but we, Muslims, must avoid doing the same method, which is insulting other religions/beliefs;
“And insult not those whom they (disbelievers) worship besides Allah, lest they insult Allah wrongfully without knowledge. Thus We have made fair-seeming to each people its own doings; then to their Lord is their return and He shall then inform them of all that they used to do”
[al-An‘aam 6:108].
Allah SWT forbade the Muslims to insult or revile the gods of the polytheists whom the latter worshipped besides Allah, even though they are false, lest that be a cause of the polytheists reviling the True God, may He be glorified, in support of their false gods and in retaliation against the Muslims for what they said. Qataadah said: The Muslims used to revile the idols of the disbelievers, so the disbelievers would revile Allah, wrongfully and without knowledge. So Allah revealed this ayah.

Correct we muslims are forbidden from destroying their idols or even their worshipping places....however nowhere are we supposed to intervene when they finally see the light and do the honours themselves...but we can watch in amazement like the sister is doing and say alhamdulillah,Allahu akbar 🙏
