ran the same test on different buttons 2 yrs. ago and found the same thing. shims do not slow the buttons past .015. you must change the spring tension by changing springs in any style long button. good luck, Jack
Very helpful video. I'm normally a .400 pro tree racer (NE3) but have been racing some Summit Series Pro races with the dang sportsman tree. They call me "Mr. Red Light". I was going to buy a Biondo button but read about the Apex and now, having watched this video, I'm leaning to the Apex. I've slowed my launch RPM, softened the rear and front tires and am staging as shallow as I can and still find myself in the .00 red territory. Maybe this will be the answer. Thanks!
Your comparison would be a lot easier and more consistent if you would make you a mount for your buttons instead of holding them. Your left hand keeps moving towards your chest when you go to release so it’s not giving a accurate reaction. I’m definitely not doubting your abilities. I have seen you race multiple times, you are definitely as tough as they get.

🐐 greatest of all time !!!!!
I'd also run Pro Cube and P-C 2
I'd like to see that thing mounted on a steering wheel. Seems cumbersome because it sticks out there..
What practice tree is the best to buy to use with apex button in setting up practicing in the car fully mounted.
Okay are you leaving on top or bottom bulb.thought you said top??

Should the plastic shims be used or are they just for packaging
The shims are how you fine tune the button.
