Craig: "If we were in jail together I'd be your friend" Vince: "If we were in jail together you'd be my wife" fucking best comeback I've ever seen on any talk show.
@@jdstarek Call me old fashioned but wives (by definition) are female while husbands are male. No matter who you have sex with your gender is not changed. If two women sleep together they don't become two men.
In 1988, I was an actor in Chicago. One of the ways I made money was by putting together a troupe of improvisational actors and performing at local high schools. At the end of the show, we'd take student-volunteers from the audience and give them a chance to play with us onstage. One such gig was at Lake Forest High school. Members of the troupe included Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Goldbergs) and David Pasquesi, widely held as one of the world's premiere improvisational actors. In the student body was Vince Vaughn; allegedly, he was among those who joined us onstage that afternoon. And I'm told that in subsequent interviews, years later, Vince swears that it was that experience that made him realize that was what he wanted to do with his life. About five years ago I was working as a waiter at a tony country club in Los Angeles; I was tray-passing drinks, when who do I find myself in front of? I had this overwhelming urge to mention that fateful day, light-years ago, but sometimes the best lines are the ones you never utter...
I for one do not like Brit Dough Boy that replaced him. Thats fine....they got him for the millenials with the car reoke singing etc. Time moves on. Even Johnny Carson had to step down...time went by and there was a new generation that needed entertainment
Out of all the CF videos that ive been binging on as of late, Vince is the only one that can keep Craig on the ropes with the speed of the jokes. I wish there were more with these two.
I'm only upset this is the singular appearance of Vince Vaughn with Craig- we need SO MANY more. Both geniuses with comedy and conversation! When 20 minutes flies by and you're like "wait, that's it??" you know it's been a fun time
The ADHD conversation they had made me feel good. It is how I talk every day and to see two comedians do it and laugh while keeping up with each other was awesome.
There are more and more similar channels popping up, but you put the work in with the audio and everything else. You don't necessarily NEED to put the extra work in, but it shows you're serious about everything and it's good to see. Keep trying new things!
I've noticed. Yeah, and I think also, that I have developed my interest even more with this channel, because I'm surrounded by people like urself who are fans of Craig and so I'm motivated to attempt to make better content. Thanks man!
Just remember, the only way to combat people copying you is to evolve... and people will copy you anyway. Gotta stay hungry and focus on your own work.
Thanks a million for preserving these amazing artefacts I'm a huge fan of your work I've never seen an interviewer so consistently sharp and tender at the same time, the world needs him
Omg I had to stop again during commercial to comment, I have NEVER seen improv this seamless EVER. I'm no expert and could be wrong, but I'm seriously dying over here 😀🤣🤣🤣
RW could do this with everyone. Nobody could keep up with him. Vince would have been great across the table from him. Don't take away from the genius of Robin because you can only remember his cliche performances.
Brilliant. Like a long and furious tennis rally. Vince matches Craig and has a similar style and technique. They place off each other really well. There are other comics who are as quick in banter in this style as Craig who could do this also but not a lot and Vince is the only I've seen on the show. I had no idea Vince had this much talent.
I was upset when Craig quit - really upset. Late night was dead to me. But I just realised something: I can watch old clips. As if I'm watching the show on TV, live. Better than anything current, and Lord knows, I don't need my evening's entertainment coloured by the shitty things going on in the world right now. No harm, no foul - a great escape, and the Universe is well again. I just needed to make the mental shift.
This is classic improv duo comedy masquerading as a talk show interview. In the first segment, Craig is playing the straight-man, then they switched roles for the second show. Most shows, it’s Craig being (very) funny, but occasionally they’d have a guest like Vince (or Robin Williams, etc.), who’d know how to work with Craig, and the result was some of the funniest TV of all time. Craig’s was easily the best late night show since Carson. Nothing out there today is even close.
Brilliant!!!! I’m so upset with myself that I didn’t start watching his late show up till his last year. This man on Drew Carry was good but when I started seeing his genius on the late late show,,,his role on Drew Carry was levels above the rest of cast. Hats off to you and man I love this show. The robot, the cow all of it is comedy at its most high
@@zootsoot2006 You just had to put that in. Let me guess, you put in some dates. God bless you man, it is hard and it takes a special kind of cat that has that combination of comfortabillity in skin and also creativity to make it. Wish you well.
Rickles and Vaughn. Two people quicker than Craig I've seen, in a league of their own really so that's no shame. Good lord what an amazing conversation.
Absolutely awesome upload. Vince Vaughn operates at 1000mph and is really funny ! Edit: Oh and had a rethink over the TexMagery and actually found it useful in this one - couldn't remember the little scottish fella in Great Escape and then BAAMMM, there it was as if my mind had injected it into the video!!! You're very welcome. He comes across as a tough guy in some things but he's got a very good sense of humor and seems a cool guy I thought....the whole starting golf at 50 thing had me in hysterics.

yeah, you must have missed Robin Williams. "Chlamydia, your father is calling!" If you ever saw these two coming at you, you'd run like hell! Gangster grip!
The epic nature of their ever-compelling, ever-changing comedic banter is an example of two international masters at the top of their game. The high caliber of this quick-witted comedy cannot be measured. It can only be stated as well above the competition. Just my opinion, YMMV.
At this point in time Vince was in one of the best prison movies in the past 15 years with Brawl in Cell Block 99 ..... Edit: not news now that I've bothered to read the comments below.
Craig likes to get the other person uncomfortable to turn them into the straight man. Vince Vaughn turns the tables on him by taking every sexual innuendo a step further, making Craig uncomfortable and thus the straight man.
Awesome stuff sir. Just found the channel and its nice to see someone still keeping the genius of CF alive. A small request if you could. Katey Sagal from Sons of Anarchy? They've had good interviews and she's quite attractive.
Check out Vince with the first Craiggers ... Kilborn and Double V were actually buddies along w/ Favreau out on the town. Those two were equally hilarious on The Late Late Show
Vince could have totally continued this show. But it looks like he's a little too skilled to enjoy it. You could see Craig's face light up when he catches himself or the guest saying something really funny. That's a great place to be - where you're good enough to pilot the ship to great places but just bad enough to still feel awe from time to time. It's better to be semi-pro. Could you imagine Vince Vaughn as a motivational speaker:
"If you believe if yourself, you can do anything!
But if we're being honest, probably not."
i just realised vince vaughn always plays himself
Vince Vaughn challes Groucho Marx .
Not in Brawl in Cell Block 99
Not in Jurassic Park: The Lost World. lol
Not always, but in most of his comedic roles, yes.
You do know he’s played some gnarly psychos, yeah?
Ever watched True Detective S02?
This is like a ping pong game of pure gold comedy.
