Shoji’s backstory was so nicely done. I love how he was so comfortable to fully reveal his face and scars to his classmates, and not feel judged for his appearance. I also love how instead of wanting revenge on the people who did him wrong, he focused more on showing on how nice of a person he really is, which in all honesty ALL OF US no matter who we are in terms of color, should take a page from
Yeah, this was probalby one of my favorite arcs of the final war. I wish EVERYONE in class 1A got something like this, or at least everyone who hadn't gotten their moment before now. Also.... I really feel they could've been more "various" with Koda's animal use.... Where the entire moving FLOOR of rats and mice just coming out of every crack in the ground and COVERRING people?
Hiding your true appearance, or even true self to avoid scaring people is an unfortunate reality. Truth be told, I think both ways of rising up against oppression and prejudice have their merits. But I guess that’s the hardest choice for a lot of people. Truth be told, I feel really bad for Spinner. While he may not have wanted to be the face of this cause, he definitely cared on some level. But that care he had was physically warped into whatever he is now by All for One. On one hand, I would want to support a movement like this, because truth be told, a lot of people, whether intentionally or not, have hurt heteromorphs, and society has enabled that kind of behavior. But on the other hand, I can’t say that attacking a hospital is really a great way to prove the point that heteromorphs deserve equal treatment. It’s sad to say, but if All for One loses, then many of these people would be thrown in prison and seen as nothing more than criminals to the public. Obviously, I don’t blame them for acting the way they are though. It’s not fair that they have to make the choice to be strong against unwarranted discrimination that was thrown against them. Nothing about any of this is fair. But I guess that’s my main point. How should we choose to rise up against an oppressive world? Time is one of the main things that will tell.
Shoji’s VA is Ian Sinclair and he is one of the best VA’s I’ve ever heard. He does great voicing serious characters like Shoji in “My Hero Academia,” the world’s strongest primate high schooler Shishio Tsukasa in “Dr. Stone,” the rooster of the zodiac Kureno Sohma in “Fruits Basket,” or the ninja oni Soei in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as I Slime,” but the roles he shines in are comedic roles in anime like the musical skeleton Brook from “One Piece,” the wacky scientist Victor Licht in “Fire Force,” and (probably his best and most memorable role in anime ever) the Narrator for one of anime’s best rom-coms, “Kaguya-sama: Love is War.” If you are interested, maybe you could react to some of these, or all of them if you want to. Trust me, all of the shows I listed here are top-tier and some of my all-time favorites, but let me give you at least 2 warnings: One Piece is the longest one listed, and it will be like 330+ episodes before we meet and hear Brook, and if you plan to watch Fruits Basket, make sure buy tissues in bulk, *YOU* WILL cry your eyes out.
Shoji has been one of my favourite characters since i first saw him, i loved his character design and everything since just made him more awesome, i love how everyone just jumped at him to hug him, granted he would probably give awesome hugs
I absolutely loved how they presented Shoji's backstory at the beginning of the episode in such a way that it seemed like Spinner's. It goes to show that it could be the backstory of any of the heteromorphs in the crowd. They went through trauma and hate, but AFO and the PLF are just using them to achieve their own goals.
Shigaraki and Spinner playing "League of Legends" is the best reveal the show has ever had. 😂 No but really, it's a good sign how close this to have become. I was never to keen on Spinner, but it does hurt tp see him in this condition 😢
One tidbit I liked it is earlier in the series we learned most heroes go to the big cities, because they have more crimes and more chances to gain recognition. Smaller communities don’t have a lot of heroes, so when we learned here that the heteromorphs experience so much hate crime in smaller areas/communities it makes sense most pro heroes don’t know much about it. They aren’t in those areas and for the heteromorphs the pro heroes aren’t their heroes, because they weren’t there for them when they needed it. For better or worse they the heteromorphs gravitated to Spinner, because he was a heteromorph who was against their current status quo where they are suffering. To them the League is acknowledging the flaws that are being ignored or overlooked, and as a result AFO (a man who truly cares for nobody except himself and his brother) is using that rage against his enemies.
9:47 - This whole thing really puts Shoji's "minimalist" dorm room in a new perspective. Shoji not having anything to bring into his dorm room clearly isn't just about aesthetic. 😢
HETEROMORPHS RISE UP!! While it wasn’t at the forefront exactly, there have been a lot of instances of mutant prejudice that we’ve seen before this. Sometimes not even intentionally. Shoto Todoroki called the chief of police a “mutt,” and a member of Class 1-B saying that octopuses creeped her out to Shoji’s face. And then of course there’s the Creature Rejection Cult from last season. It’s a genuine problem that some people, heroes included, can gloss over at times. That leads us to here. Two different perspectives. Should heteromorphs tear down the corrupt system that enabled this kind of prejudice? Or should they prove the prejudice people wrong by becoming a part of that system? Either way, it’s hard to say whether or not that grudge will ever truly disappear. Biggest regret here though? Accepting those quirks from All for One. By manipulating the emotions of those who were wronged by society, he’s using their cause to further his own agenda. And now, the only person who could possibly understand what was going on, can barely speak properly. Ultimately, this cause was part of a bigger picture that speaks to the corruption of hero society, and changing the world for the better.
Yeah remember the creature rejection clan who the one time we saw them where literaly just hanging around until the leauge broke in and started stealing shit. Hell we never actually see the creature rejection clan do anything wrong exep defending themselvs from a much worse threath. Spinner used to stand for Stains ideals but now he has bee red pilled by a degenerate with the charisma of wet paper and just wants to see everything destroyed because he had a bad life. Manga spoilers. Ending upp as a angry incel/neo nazi and coping that his Hitler wasen't that bad because he was a gamer is perfect punishment for some who fell from grace.
Finally Ian Sinclair and Greg Ayres get to flex their talent as voice actors in this episode it's a damn shame that Shoji and Koda are such a back round characters.
This episode made me tear up as, I have autism so I can relate to all the heteromorphs on how they're outcasted & treated differently just for being different
I didn’t think we were getting a face reveal and I felt pretty bad for his backstory. All of these people faced discrimination and are tired of it. Spinner looked absolutely terrifying with the new powers he received from AFO.
May come from watching shows like ben 10 with the transformations, but i always saw those as cool, and i always saw shoji as cool, especially his arms, hes is truly one cool hero
Who else is excited for Zamber to react to MHA Season 7 Episode 15 and 16? (I'm mostly excited for her to react to MHA Season 7 Episode 16 because it's so super good and shocking at the same time. I wish that I could tell you why. I will give you 1 hint: 3 characters make their big return.)
1:56 This makes me chuckle a bit every time I see it: Imagine pulling such a short straw that your quirk generates fire, but so little that you still need to make molotovs. Don't know who I'd be angrier at in their case: lucky showboats like the Todorokis, or the animator who just really didn't want to look up a reference for a lighter
I gotta say for the part of what they said about Mineta I would actually have to say in that scene where he apologizes to shoji there could’ve been also a scene where Shoji tells him that He wouldn’t be upset about how he thought about him because back in the sports festival when he wanted to be his team with Su he tells him how his multiple arms will come in handy and how he stretches them knowing shoji realize it was a good idea and he was happy to know that a friend in his class Found him really unique.🥹
Koda: "Laugh at my buddy, and you get fed to the birds."
The scene where everyone was hugging Shoji saying to make more happy memories was so freaking CUTE!
he'd give awesome hugs

As a massive fan of Shoji, Spinner, and Koda for most of the series, THIS episode is one of my new favorites of all time.
I used to love them from beginning start too !!!
Don't worry about Shoji losing arms. He established in season 3 that he can grow them back.

Dang, that's quite the resume.
Shoji,

*the Love is War Narator,*
and more beyond that.

Shoji has been one of my favourite characters since i first saw him, i loved his character design and everything since just made him more awesome, i love how everyone just jumped at him to hug him, granted he would probably give awesome hugs
Man, this episode really puts into perspective with how people with powers that alter their appearance are treated.
I absolutely loved how they presented Shoji's backstory at the beginning of the episode in such a way that it seemed like Spinner's. I've always loved Spinner ngl
Spinner is the most underrated character ges not even on the world wide poll while kaminari, is in the top ten for some reason@@You-Tube-n5k
League of Legends was definitely the inspiration for the name “league of villains.”
But yeah, that hurt a lot-
Honestly, i just want to see the league of villains playing videogames together, is that too much to ask ? 😂
Fun fact. Shoji is the youngest in the class.
8:14 in the Sub it was "LOOL" so I guess in the Dub they just straight up said it 😅

Yeah, it sucks

Same 😢🥹
Be strong fellow acoustics o7
I'm so glad they managed to make the League of Legends reference so obviously without actually infringing on copyright 😂 good for them
Shoji and Spinner are honestly both massive sweethearts. Sucks they're on opposing sides.
Wait Shigaraki is a league player?!You know, actually that explains alot...😆
I didn’t think we were getting a face reveal and I felt pretty bad for his backstory. All of these people faced discrimination and are tired of it. Spinner looked absolutely terrifying with the new powers he received from AFO.
I always loved Shoji, it’s great to finally see him get some spotlight!
Dang zamber really said oh you play league I play league LETS BE TOXIC ON LEAGUE OF LEGENDS AND NOT OUT IN IRL lol 😅
:P like ya know, crippling addiction to league of legends could solve many problems in the world hahahaha
Hahaha Jk
@IAmZamber shigaraki: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AKALI!!!!! Lol then he proceeds to decay his setup cause rage lol

IAmZamber, cool video my guy
Zamber being a League player explains way too much smh.
You know I even once saw my hero academia AMV manga music video of the hetamorph battle and boy was that alot of great music
Favorite person gets a backstory
Worst part is also the fact that Shouji is the youngest of the class.
His name's not deadlock, it's rock lock
