Yea me and some other people had to fuss someone out about them saying MHA is bs because the show never said that was ok. When the very next episode started that she was not dead, but in the hospital.
It is mostly because a lot of people don't rewatch the previous seasons, which means most people haven't seen season 6 in over a year. A lot of details do just get forgotten unfortunately. Look at Eri. It was explained multiple times that her quirk needs to store up energy in her horn before she can use it. When her horn is small she doesn't have enough energy to use it in a meaningful way. Every time without fail people either ask why Eri doesn't use her quirk to fix everyone or worry that Eri is just going to be used as the Dragon Balls to fix everything. People forgot details over time.
@@Jjop017 I've never gone back and re watched pervious seasons or episode I just remember them of the top of my head. But it is important to remember some people just don't have great memories.
*It’s great to see Lady Nagant and Gentle become heroes like they dreamed of being. They’re really pushing themselves too. Like, Nagant was hospitalized and SUPER far away, but she landed that shot perfectly! And Gentle and La Brava have been doing so much work behind the scenes!*
Present mic: formerly known as gentle criminal, his time fighting deku has reshaped his reality of what he went through and learned what it truly meant to be a hero and gentlemen now under the new hero name: Gentleman
The way I screamed with sm joy when Sir Gentle, La Brava, and Lady Nagant showed up to help even the odds . I genuinely was crying when he had his speech moment like it hit me in the feels💀. Idk how things are gonna go for hawks and endeavor tho. We love a redemption moment.
I love all the comebacks in this arc!!! Never expected to see La Brava and Sir Gentle again. (Kinda forgot about them ngl). But this is a perfect example of MHA's ability to give it's large cast of character some spotlight. And I love that even trough this two were villains, they never really werr on the bad side and got their chance to redeem themselves. ❤
I was also confused about Nagant's survival when they mentioned taking her to a hospital back when she exploded, so I went back and analyzed that scene again and noticed something important: Even after she exploded, she was entirely in once piece. The only damage we could see on her body was her burnt and broken skin. Because of this, it's my belief that Nagant survived because the explosion quirk only made her skin explode, not her insides. Which, of course, is super painful but not necessarily deadly if treated. Perhaps AFO's true goal was to traumatize Deku (which he did) instead of taking her life. Nagant's betrayal did bring Deku to that abandoned mansion like AFO wanted, after all. As for her heart, which you mentioned: AFO had a line as Nagant's skin started to crack about how "the heart is a fickle thing." This is referring to the human capacity to be swayed in its loyalty, not what his quirk was doing to her. No matter what though, I'm just happy Nagant is alive. She's one of my all time favorite characters. I loved her the second we first saw her, and I love everything we've gotten from her. I didn't truly understand the meaning of "waifu" before she came around lol
The fact that gentle is trying to save people from the same incident that he originally tried to do of saving someone from falling just comes back full circle and proves that he can and could have been a great hero Also in the manga after both gentle and lady nagant return the chapter ends with a amazing illustration of both of them looking clean and proper with gentle wearing a nice outfit and lady nagant wearing a beautiful dress
Gentle was already my second favorite villain (behind twice) before this episode. Seeing him here proves why he’s the best though. His path to villainy started with him failing to save someone from falling. Now here he is saving EVERYONE from falling. We know he was always a good person deep down, just dealt a poor hand. But when the time comes, this is who he truly is. Welcome back my glorious king Gentle Hero.
just like Aunt May said in Spiderman 2 "I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.” this is something Muscular failed to understand as he'll be a villain to the very end while Gentle Criminal moved past that
I wanted to test people's moderators about the twists in this episode being so freaking out there in a way only Horikoshi would think of them. I was certain that me saying it verbatim would be lead to sheer disbelief if I didn't quote or give a chapter number. I'm happy I didn't but MAN would that have been funny. The mystery of the 7th prison not getting broken down, and Skeptic's mistake that made him think that unleashing full power Twice on HIMSELF and letting Hawks start the 1st war right under his nose is are something only Horikoshi would cover with Gentle and La Brava. And it in conjunction with so many worst case scenarios? This is peak MHA. And THEN bring back a character that ABSOLUTELY should have died being Lady Nagant. Outstanding.
Most tear worthy episode of the season by far. Gentle and La Brava's return were phenomenal. Nagant making a frankly godly snipe is cool as hell. She's at the hospital Korugiri was at making this shot! How did she even see UA, let alone snipe Shigaraki's hand from below and also directly at his head!?
I have been waiting for this episode since last season. Just a reminder, but in the aftermath of the Tartarus escape, the narration said that seven more prisons were attacked and six had mass breakouts. That was around the time in the manga when we found out what Gentle did.
I hear you on enjoying Gentle and La Brava but not super caring about them during their original stories. They really feel like they should have been placed earlier in the series when things were a bit less serious. We went serious with Overhaul then went oddly light with Gentle, then just got serious again and stayed there since. But their appearance works. Though speaking of faces you thought you might never see again.. Overhaul. Man, I've been expecting his return. He's still alive all he needs is hands and he can be the turn to the tide simply because he would hate Shigaraki.
I can see your point, but at the same time I think a shorter light hearted slice of life arc after a long dark arc that lasted over a year in the manga had it's merits. Not only did it allow us a breather, but it also gave the author time to show Eri start her healing process. I don't think this arc could have been placed earlier in the series, just because it is so tied to Eri. I think the arc just feels pointless or filler for a lot of fans, because they think Gentle Criminal and La Brava weren't going to matter in the series at the time it came out. With hindsight though the arc does introduce ideas that the series still carries. They are the first villain Deku empathizes with and makes him realize villains can be people. Gentle's backstory introduces how harsh society can be on people who make mistakes (his accidently injuring a hero led to people vandalizing his family's home and they were harassed over his mistake. I think for people who didn't like this arc originally that this episode does at least make them understand why we got it and that these characters did contribute to character development and larger themes in the story itself.
As you said, you and I both have hope that Uraraka will be the one to get through if not stall Toga and defeat her. Of course, she was gonna get through the kurogiri gate.🩷💚
I know how you feel I cry too I have a different way to deal with it I pretend that I'm fighting alongside them like I'm fighting too I Cry but I don't let my emotions get to me that's how you lose
Deku's greatest power has *always* been his ability to inspire others. Gentle and LaBrava, Nagant, Iida, Todoroki, Bakugo, even all the way back at the beginning, ALL MIGHT. His greatest power has aways been showing others how to see the best in themselves.
It’s refreshing to see your reaction to Gentle, La Brava, and Nagant’s respective returns in the anime when I saw this moment in the manga 2 years ago. You better brace yourself for so many big moments because this season does end at 21 episodes leaving the rest of it for the final season
""I grieved for you! I read your obituary, I went to your funeral, and I brought flowers to your grave! How dare you be alive?!"" LMAO I believe there are supposed to be 21 episodes (because there were 4 recap eps at the beginning, not counted as part of the season though).
Lady Nagant was never confirmed to have died. Season 6 episode 22 confirms that she was in the hospital getting treatment.
I'm really surprised everyone thought lady nagant was dead even though hawks had said in season 6 that she was at the hospital recovering

To be fair, she blew up.
Gentle really came in here and said "Manners, Maketh, Man. Do you know what that means? Then let me teach you a lesson.”
Actually in Season 6 it was mentioned Lady Nagant was alive, just in medical care
4:44 By ''pedantic'', AFO means to say ''You are just splitting hairs, Endeavor didn't beat me, it doesn't count, blah, blah, blah.''
Shows how petty he really is.
Gentle Criminal has evolved into Gentle Hero.
Omgggggggg I didn’t think of that but I love itttt
