    My name is Kristine and I survived nursing school…and you can too!
    Nurse In The Making was inspired during my time in nursing school. I immediately struggled and decided to create my own study guides. These guides have helped me personally as well as many others make nursing school just a little more manageable.I hope you find comfort knowing that everyone struggles at times. Nursing school is emotionally and physically draining. I hope these informative, clean, and simple guides help you navigate through all the information because there is A LOT of it in nursing school.
    Happy Studying Future Nurses. Don't forget to enjoy the journey!

    I'm starting a 14-month ABSN program and I AM SO EXCITED. I was so scared previously but now that I got accepted I am so ready. 978 applied, 190 got interviews, and only 36 got into the accelerated cohort. I can't believe it! Best advice??

    • @LMFAOxLILA
      @LMFAOxLILA 2 года назад +2

      @@setordzisylvia7401 hi girl! It really depends on the specific program you are applying too! My program was extremely competitive and the interview process was super important. To get to the interview you needed a competitive GPA in prerequisites, a competitive teas score, and they do look at overall gpa as well! However, once you get to the interview portion the interview becomes 50% of what gets you in. With teas being 35%, and gpa being the other 25%. For my program to apply, you needed a minimum overall 3.2, and minimum 3.4 prereq gpa! For the teas we needed a minimum 80! That is not guaranteed an interview though because it depends on the applicant pool! Let me know if you have any questions but i wish you luck! My best advice is to GET A’s in your prereqs because that is super important (even if your overall gpa is low your prereq gpa is more important)

      I don't think that would be considered a traditional ABSN program. ABSN program typically means you already completed your Bachelor's degree in a discipline other than nursing. ABSN nurses will be getting their second Bachelors's after the completion of their program. Though the route you're taking is accelerated, it isn't an ABSN program.

      Hi there!
      This actually entirely depends on the program you’re applying to & the university or college! If you already have a Bachelor of Science, it may be a smoother transition. You can ALWAYS switch paths and apply, it just depends on the program’s allowance for transfer of credits if that makes sense.
      I hope you’re able to get some answers by reaching out to the specific places you’re applying to and speaking with an advisor or admissions counselor on what would transfer and work best for you.
      I hope this helps! 🙂
