Franz Schubert - Das Dörfchen, D. 598 for Male Chorus & Guitar (2nd Version 1818)

Franz Peter Schubert (31 January 1797 - 19 November 1828) was an Austrian composer.
Schubert died before his 32nd birthday, but was extremely prolific during his lifetime. His output consists of over 600 secular vocal works (mainly Lieder), seven complete symphonies, sacred music, operas, incidental music and a large body of chamber and piano music.

I haven't really heard Schubert's choruses before. It's beautiful. Interesting that the tempo doesn't change that drastically, especially between the Allegretto and Andantino sections. If anything, the Allegretto is slower than I would expect from the marking, closer to your typical Adagio in BPM. Like I hear no tempo difference in terms of BPM between the Andantino and Andante con moto sections, only reason the Andante con moto feels faster is the time signature, quarter note in the Andantino is at the same tempo as half note in the Andante con moto.
But that's immaterial. It's a beautiful piece. I love that ending canon especially.
