Prosecutor Slams New Jersey Father for Child’s Alleged Murder

- During the state’s opening statements, New Jersey prosecutor Jamie Schron told jurors, “healthy six-year-olds don’t just died in the course of a business day,” adding they’ll be "firmly convinced" Christopher Gregor murdered his young son. Investigators say Gregor forced Corey Micciolo to run on a treadmill because the father believed he was “too fat.” Micciolo later died of the injuries he sustained from the alleged abuse.

why didn't the hospital call the COPS, CHILD SERVICES, ANYONE due to the bruises everywhere. WHY didn't the hospital do their JOB.
CPS didn't either or the court but now the kid is gone and the dad is the only one being prosecuted.

This happened in my hometown. Maybe the prosecutor should also slam or even better yet prosecute DCP&P (child services in NJ formally known as DYFS) for ignoring and neglecting to investigate Mom’s repeated concerns about the safety of her son while with his “father”.
Ironic how it’s now called the division of child PROTECTION and permanency. They need to be held accountable because they CONSTANTLY leave vulnerable children in the care of monsters!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 reports in the 20 months Chris was involved in Corey’s life including one the day before Corey was killed. Sad. Emergency custody could have saved his life.

What I still don't understand is why they didn't remove & place him in an emergency foster home if they didn't want to give him back to his mom. It's standard practice in most if not all cases, yet in this one they didn't.
