The engine sounds very healthy but it seems to be restricted, maybe you need a larger diameter exhaust. The acceleration, especially once you get up to speed, is going to improve a lot.
You are right about my exhaust being restrictive. Especially the last silencer. I tried to keep the car quiet but at the cost of power. When the car accelerates away from you, the only thing you hear is the large amounts of air being pushed out of the exhaust. I'm fixing it soon and will upload some more. Good notice!
@@gt16v96 you can try a Helmholtz resonance muffler, it's gonna cut a lot of drone and low frequencies. Makes it much easier to drive around, after all whrn you're in the high rpms it is expected to be loud but that's not when the engine spends most of the time in daily driving/commuting. Also, in some cases it's beneficial because the remaining exhaust gas keeps recirculating in the resonance muffler, so it gives a slight improvement on throttle response in a sense. (Smoother exhaust flow) You might be interested on reading about exhaust manifolds, same technique but aiming to create some vacuum sto the exhaust gas is sucked out of the engine to a degree. You don't need to hold the first gear that long on rev limit, it harms the engine, slow you down because you loose momentum and it is just absolutely pointless. The second acceleration at the end of the video was good.
the valves open open at redline on these engines which are pretty much bulletproof. there is more power if you hold the gear for a little longer, it’s the whole purpose of vvti

@@ridwan9440 no it's not :D VVTi is a way different thing and this engine is everything but not bulletproof.
Lol the rev limiter stops you from hurting engine that's why it exists. The clutch is a diff story though

@@illegalkegels Yes, but to keep it on rev limiter for that long is pointless for the reasons I mentioned in my first comment. I used to drive a 2ZZ Celica for long time, I know that engine very good. I know what I'm talking about...

Hey bro what are those gauges to the right? Oil pressure and temp?
Please never take this video down, I'm now using it for therapy lol
I won't. Only more to come!

How so?

u have made this car sound so good man.
do u ever plan on making it faster? like turbo or more engine mods?

THANK YOU SO MUCH, THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE
So nice sound😊 gives me goosebumps
That sounds really healthy!
I need to find a road like that
love the steering wheel clean as
Sounds healthy , 2zz is the best ❤
Awesome engine! masterpiece!
most helpful female
awesome
Could you post a video with your intake setup? sounds amazing
Yes mate, will do soon.
hey what microphone do you use for the intake? sounds so goood
The whole thing is recorded on a Iphone 13 pro with a custom made bite mound. No external mics where used. On this car you don't need to :P
Hey when will you post a new vid of 2zz-ge top acceleration on exhaust please?
Great idea! I'm gonna work on that. Soon to be expected.
Done. See latest upload!
189 hp? How much the car weights? Nice sound.
Thanks! Yes 189 hp I believe. It weights around 900kg.
Is that a JDM ecu? European ones don't have a speed cut I think
You are right, it’s a JDM ecu.
Where is this road?
Dit wil ooit nog ergens kunnen kopen.....
Need the intake setup
I will post engine bay footage soon.

There should a new Toyota v8 based on this engine 3.6 liter 400 hp. Or v12 5.4 liter 600 hp?
I thought about mating two 2zz engines in one but that might be fantasy for ever.
On what car is this engine
The engine is from a 2002 Corolla T-sport. The car it is in now is a 1991 Corolla hatchback.
My 2zz doesn't sound like this 🥲🥲 maybe I should change my intake

Yes it’s stock

Ja precies dat :P

I think it’s at 180 km\h on the JDM spec Ecu.
