That’s because I made the intake go to the back of the engine, close to the firewall. Not the best for intake temps but incredibly for sound. Sounds still lame on the first cam imo. This engine needs some cam upgrades for sure!
@@kballs94 in summer time I would say 6/10. Not too bad and you can still find a way to feed cold air to it to make it better.(I do have a wrapped exhaust header) In winter time no problem at all. Aluminum intake pipe is almost cold to the touch after ripping and revving around. It almost does sounds like itb’s especially on real low rpm’s. So awesome to drive that way. The Corolla AE101 2zz on the channel has the intake on the front like most 2zz’s so I know the difference. The engine is way more exiting when you hear the intake roar in te cabin. When you’re standing outside, the front type intake sounds a bit more spectacular.
In my opinion, sound is certainly as important, if not more, for the sensation of driving, as the power. I wouldn't mind sacrificing around 5hp, for such a sound! I got the Corolla TTE Compressor, you don't hear the lift nearly as good as in this, but I am in need of another intake for that supercharger sound!
Hey man I was wondering what ecu are you using? If its the celica one and you got the a/c already working did you found a way to make the ecu idle up when the compressor is engage?
I’m using the JDM spec ECU. I’m not sure about the A/C since I did not need it in my AE92. I would think that most of it is already wired to the Ecu. Shouldn’t be to hard to wire it up with some ECU diagrams to look into.
@@MrMariomena I get what you mean now. I have all the wiring sheets laying around so I do some research on that. I’m almost sure you can bypass the instrument cluster with this one so it should be possible. I’ll look it up.
I have not unfortunately. I put the steering wheel on to see if it fits in the first place and it did. Decided to test it a few days but it’s been some months now. I want to make the horn work and try to get to it soon. If I find a way I’ll update you.
@@EnginesRMymusic I have purchased the same steering, it fits but in my country you cant drive safe without a horn. I think somehow making a circle metal plate will act as a medium. Make a video if you find a working way
@@rakeenrahman3486 I understand. There must be a fix to this. Otherwise it’s not an actual option to install this wheel permanently. The blinkers also act funny with this wheel. You have to turn them off manually and there are some weird noises sometimes when turning with blinker on. I like it far better than the original so I will try to make it work. If you find a fix, I would appreciate a share too.
@@EnginesRMymusic Ah, the Honda approach lol. Makes sense tbh, my car is loud enough to set off car alarms on cold start and sounds more like a open header b series hehe
That crossover sound !!!
Sounds like it has ITB’s 😮

@@joeridemoor9558I agree! -5hp for a good sound is worth it
Party starts at 6 o' clock 🥳
Great sound and great setting... A good chassis with great engine.
Congrats... 👌🏻
Reminds me of my CRX VTi. The vtec(your vvti) crossover was also very nice like this one!
Great stuff
Oh sounds very nice! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🚀👏🏻😎
damn i miss the sound of my 2zz starlet when i hear urs! it sounds amazing, imma do that intake toward the firewall like you, fuck the higher temps :D
You won’t regret it! Especially not during winter time. It gets scarily loud when lift hits. Makes it so much more fun to drive even on lower rpm’s.

4a's and 2zz's sound different. You can't compare them lol
@jayfujiwara9740 20v with open itbs doesn't sound that different

Congrats and welcome. Thank you!
Can you post a video of the intake setup??
Yes, I’m planning on uploading some engine bay footage any time soon.

whattya use for a muffler? my 2zz's straight piped besides a tiny resonator and sounds like shit lmfao
It’s almost all intake sound you hear in this video. I made the exhaust as quiet as possible.
