If you have an airfryer chips are easy and quick to make. Cut potatoes into chips, dry, place in plastic bag with a tablespoon or less of oil, smoked paprika, give bag a good shake, if necessary massage to ensure all chips are covered in paprika - you can also add salt. Add to airfryer, cook at 200-220 for 12-17' depending on quantity and size of chips - shake half-way through. Every airfryer is different so temp. and time is trial and error.
Do your children like fish pie? I poach some fish in just enough milk to cover it and then use the same milk to make a white sauce, add parsley if you like. Flake the fish and cover with the sauce. To make it go a bit further add some spinach or peas. Top it with mashed potatoes, ideally a sprinkle of cheese on the top and brown in the oven, air fryer or under the grill. Serve with veggies of your choice.
Julie, that is making me HUNGRY!!! WOW! Thank you, for really great advice. I do make fish pie but have not made it in over a year!! I will make the pie this week. Any tips for the white sauce as i haven't made my own. I just make a sauce with parsley but it's not a white sauce. Any help please?? xx
I am so humbled, thank you Kathleen of Canada WOW! I have a video about a young fella named Ryan age 37 Homeless. I have gone back to see Ryan today on the streets as i want to help him so much. Michelle, your comments are so kind. I try my best for the children. As parents we just keep going. I do get lots of veg when i dumpster dive, but they must be sealed in the main. Please subscribe for more updates as i'm back again shopping in few days xx Thank you for stopping by.
I stopped using kitchen roll a while ago and used to use alot. Mainly to wipe over cat bowls and to line pyrex etc. Now I use a bamboo roll, which can be put in the washing machine with tea towels. They wash over and over. I use old pieces of sheet now to use for cat bowls, with a spray bottle. Haven't even missed kitchen roll. The bamboo rolls cost about £9.99 for two, and only had to open one which I've been using over a year.
First time finding your channel, at first I was a little confused with the dumpster dive comments but assumed you emigrated to the NA thought I'm sure skip diving hasn't quite got the same ring to it.. The prices are in pounds though so I presume your audience is mainly abroad. I like Lidl but rarely go so was interested to see your shop as I have every other supermarket a little bit closer. Do you batter the fish yourself? I'm keep buying fillets then doing the same thing time after time with them lemon, butter etc. To add to the J cloth comment, I was wasting so much money on those and kitchen towel, swapped to thicker microfibre cloths from Amazon a few weeks ago and wish I did it years ago, they even absorb all the moisture in the microwave( don't modern microwaves here in the UK make so much moisture these days?) and cleaning seems easier. They washed well too :)
Hi, thank you, for your lovely feedback. I am in the UK, born and bred ha ha :) I Dumpster Dive in the week. That means i go to the retail park COMMERCIAL BINS and 'DIVE IN'...LITERALLY! I often find really great items such as gaming headphones, brand new silver jewellery, handbags, food (pre wrapped). Mostly you'll see that items thrown away by large co's are not even damaged. It's incredible what they throw. Last night i went DD but there was nothing other than 2 tins of biscuits expiry today. The microfibre cloths are brilliant!! Please Subscribe for more updates as tomorrow i'm about to go shopping again and will also buy Ryan the homeless guy some food. You can see his content on my channel and i just uploaded another today. xxx thanks for stopping by...
It's so weird as i never even thought of frozen until a viewer said it the other day. GREAT ADVICE and i will be taking it. Thank you. Please Subscribe as i am following a journey of a homeless fella, Ryan age 37. I'm dumpster diving tonight and i may find some items to get him shoes, clothes etc...end goal is to get him skilled up for work. He wants to come off the streets. It's tough.
