    Creating a ocean in C4D is easy, right? but what about if i told you we could create an ocean with extruding foam which looks photo realistic and that's also subject to animation, lets get into it! Check out some of my other tutorials and subscribe!

    Excellent. I have been working with UNREAL for almost four years, and the water, for as good as it is, doesn't quite cut it. Your foam, example was great, and the work flow is very close to UNREAL. I also have hours of real ocean footage , and bays, and coves, and I have yet to see ANY of the Hi-END, render engines come close to the REAL thing. Wind-driven waves, are very dynamic, and I have yet to re-create them in UNREAL. Maybe vary the shape, over a time line? I haven't tried to adjust things , using a time line, so I don't know if that works? I have used VUE, in the past, and making those changes, over time, are doable, but are totally impractical , and are limited to a 2 D rendered product, that takes literally days to render, even while producing a short animation. Thanks for your tutorial. WELL-Done.

    Would be great if you could do a similar tut with the Hot4D plug-in with Octane please?

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  6 лет назад +3

      100%, that's a great idea, I never considered that due to there already being a few tutorials out there, but Potentially mixing this tutorial's attributes with hot4d could justify some pretty mean results? I'll look into it man! keep checking my channel it might just be up within a week or so :)

    Looks great! Few weeks ago I made something similar with Redshift. I think, now only Octane and Redshift can give fast and good results.

    Is there a version of octane render for R17?

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  4 года назад

      Yeah of course! I have tons of plugins for R19 I haven't been able to bring to R20 so sometimes I put octane back in my R19 folder and use it lol.

    you know that the IOR for water is 1.35 or 1.33 right?

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  6 лет назад

      Moiwz Yeah! which is why I kept it around there but because we where mixing it with textures I cut loose a little to get a result that suited my scene better, it wouldn’t be detrimental to the result whatsoever in this case!

    maybe u have an idea to fix?

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  6 лет назад

      Is the plane extruded? if it is and that isn't it try some differant HDRI's to see what looks best as well as playing with the absorption and scattering density!
      Also, plug the disp map into the disp channel of the mix material. Octane will just ignore it if it's inside one of the material's themselves!

    • @Murtox
      @Murtox 6 лет назад +1

      Sketchy yes it is extruded, ty i will try the rest

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  6 лет назад

      Okay great, best of luck! just edited the response// meant the disp channel on the mix not the amount lol!

    • @Murtox
      @Murtox 6 лет назад

      Sketchy yea but i mean, the disp aint no problem and stuff, but i dont get the foam (even with other hdris)

    • @Sketchyvisuals
      @Sketchyvisuals  6 лет назад

      Maybe play with the gamma of the foam textures on the diffuse mat? it might be blending in with the color of your water!
