WAQF board act - My heart drops when i heard this most undemocratic, discriminatory law giving extraordinary powers to a particular communisty or society is definitely unconstitutional way of thinking about indian constitution. By this act, it is clear , that all citizens are not equal and one section has been given powers above law and subjugating the countries people !!! How can this be considered as equality based and equal laws for all. Waqf board is unlawful,illegal, unconstitutional as it run counter to the spirit of constitution. why cant the Indian Govt nullify this act and declare all people are equal and no special powers to any particular community.?

Waqf Board is a great idea, Muslims can donate their land for the beneficial of their community. God is the owner of this land.
With these many acres of land, Muslims can develop themselves in a better way but unfortunately Muslims are facing challenges in effectively utilizing Waqf land for their community's development.
There are many reasons behind this, including lack of proper management and corruption. But with proper governance and community involvement, Waqf land can be used as a good resource for the betterment of Muslim communities, providing opportunities for education, healthcare, social welfare, and economic development.
I believe even Hindus should have their own Waqf Board so that they can benefit their community

Govt. should have abrogated waqf act when they had absolute majority. This act should go. This is a danger to India. Why is the govt. so apologetic and scared.

I agree with you, but what govt is doing is very clever, they are trying to regulate it, once you regulate it more, it will automatically be powerless. They will not be able to lay claims arbitrarily. Plus several old cases can be challenged in a court of law, I hope so this is also in the amendments

The principal problem with Waqf Act was the right accorded to it to claim land without evidence or court orders. All teh Waqf had to do was to declare a land as Waqf land and then the onus of proving that it wasnt fell on the occupant or other claimant of the property. That is, if the Waqf board decided to claim the land on which the Supreme Court of India was situated on, the onus of proving that it is not fell on the Central Govt, the Supreme Court itself who had to provide evidence to an adjudicating authority in order to reclaim its right. Waqf Act gave the Waqf members unilateral and unhindered power. That is not acceptable.

You are mixing up the objective in question. A Waqf board is not a place of worship, it functions as an institution. Sabarimala is a temple. Would I want all temples to be open to everyone, yes.
