What river or rivers were these fine specimens taken and what is the most effective fly patterns. Fairly hefty strong fish. We must endeavor to save the salmon, majestic fish (salmo salar) from extinction.

As I watch Mikael's films I always wonder how to manage the reel drag system. Do you hold the fish with your fingers on the line or do you use well set drag system...? I know all Mikaels movies about salmon quite well and I don't remember him touching this subject. Could someone tell what is the common way to prevent the big fish from running? Tight lines!

The reason the most of the fisher that been at for years change hands is i think years a go rod were heavy so to have a fresh arm from the casting arm when playing a fish made it easer and a nother reason when you watch some one fishing you think o that must be the way to do it but last 15 years with good light rods there no need to change and even now there is plentyof reels what come to the shop with left hand wind years a go it was all ways right hand wind standerd

i never understood that, why for right-handed person, hold a rod during the fight in left (weaker) hand? I always do with right
