I've been using Trangia for more than 30, for long distance hiking trips and now for adventure riding. Went from spirit burner to gas. Brilliant system.
Have owned and used the 25T and the 27T and the 28T for at least 2 decades now. My husband and I have vintage VESPA SCOOTERS and do Moto-camping with them. Since I'm a stove gear junkie I own many other kinds of stoves but for Moto-camping the TRANGIA STORMCOOKERS can't be beat! When cooking for 4 or more people I take all 3 of the TRANGIAs. 25T for main meats or fish, 27T for veggies, and the 28T for hot drink brewups (28T burner and mug for pour over coffee and the 28T bowl for prep mixing.) Three kits, for a complete kitchen fit for any crowd. It'sa EPIC never fails me system.
I totally Agree Pamela... I have tried a lot of stoves, but no one can compare to the all in one system that Trangia provides. I don't have the 28 yet, but I use the 25 and 27 almost every week
@@tshansen the 28T is a good piece of kit. At first look it seems like little more than a toy BUT IT'S A VERY CAPABLE AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL KIT, JUST TINY. Great for soups, a sandwich or lite breakfasts. GET YOURSELF ONE, but you will need a wind screen plus a cross stand is helpful too (for smaller metal pots and cups.). I keep mine in my kayak or bum pack.

Good morning my friend! I had my coffe to this excellent video, really liked the comparisons. Liked the coffe aet up. I'm happiest when I boil coffe in the kettle like old style. Many times I just use instant coffe because it's convenient, but not so cool. Thanks for the shout out Thomas, I will reply to this and have some video ideas that could be of interest. 😁
God morning :-P I have used the Trangia as much as possible lately and it really impress me. I have always seen the kettle as dead weight. What's the point? But after my last trip there is no dubt that a kettle serves it purpose. Try to boil water from a pan you just used for pasta or some meat :-P Instant coffe are ok in i tight spot, but for me... a good cup of coffe are golden :-) Hope to see more "challanges" from your part. This could be an interesting winter :-D
@@tshansen The kettle is a great part of the kit, but always consider what you need on the hike/trip. If You know that dehydrated meals is on the plan for a low weight trip You can skip one or both pots and just bring the kettle for boiling water. Or even more low weight but no wind protection just bring the kettle and alco burner with three tent pegs. The pegs or wood sticks will work as kettle/potstand with the burner placed on ground. I vary my kit according to plan, but nothing beats the complete kit if cooking is on the agenda or if it needs to work in worst condition weathers.
Thomas Hansen I saw the kettle as pointless as well, then making a drink after eating dinner from the same pan which couldn’t get 100% clean...I went straight out and brought a kettle and take it every time now. Trangia’s crash well to. My wind screen part is a bit bashed up but it’s normally a case of pushing it back in to shape after a drop. Very little to break

After spending alot of time with burners and pans that did not suite me good. The Trangia stand out as one of the all time best. What a simple and great pice of kit. Fun fact... i'm rebuilding my kitchen at the time and my trangia works as a stove in my livingroom. Amazing :-D

Just like you, I have been through multiple more or less fancy cooking systems. Started out with a trangia 27 with alcohol burner, then switched to an msr multifuel burner, then a jetboil, and now I'am back to trangia, this time with a 25 duossal with the gas burner. I went with the bigger 25 series because I often cook for 2 with it, and the duossal, although it doesn't have non stick, it's super durable.
The circle is complete 👏🏻 I was gonna go for the duossal version my self, but It was out of stock on the time I bought mine. I have both the 25 and the 27. When I'm out solo riding and camping I use the 27, for everything else I use the 25. I'm really impressed by the HA version as well. The best part about it, you can clean it out with sand or gravel after you have cooked with it and it is still fine afterwords. Amazing kit that will probably last me a lifetime.
@@tshansen I had trouble finding a duossal kit in stock as well, I ended up finding one in a store here in Denmark randomly when I was in there for something else. It is a bit heavier than the other kits, but I only use it for bike trips and I'm on a 1200gsa so the extra couple 100 grams don't matter. Love the videos btw. keep them coming.
Hahaha, i was going trough every shop i could find here in Norway for the duossal. Great mind think alike. Now that i have the HA version i dont see the point in upgrading (yet) but if or when i do, it will be duossal. Thank you, glad you like my content! Much more to come
For many, many years I carry with me the smallest cooker from Trangia: alcohol cooker mini with non-stick pan.. Is absolutely minimalist and actually for hikers. The pan eg. for scrambled eggs with bacon or salmon 😋, potty e.g. for rice (boil in vegetable broth) ok. I heat water and make coffee in my aluminum cup (0,5 liters) . For Nescafe ok - yes, yes I know 😅, but put very little salt in it , it's surprisingly not that bad anymore 🙂
My friend from Sweden, Mattias, use the same gear as you. That little Trangia is amazing for solo trips. I have not bought it my self yet, but I will get it eventually. Salt in the Nescafe? What sorcery is this 🤣
Yebbut wet wipes are VERY environmentally unfriendly. I use them too but very sparingly. I love my Trangia. I use other stoves but I always come back to the Trangia. Mine's a 25 series running on gas with Ti pan and bowls. No kettle as I don't drink tea.

Haha lol. I travel very light! The wipes i always take with me even as toiletpaper. I use the Jetboil Flash Cooking System with piezo. Its only to cook water, in seconds! I have instant coffee per cup, instant dried travel food. And thats it. Breakfast can be someting i bought the afternoon before and otherwise i stop over onroute.
Haha, I just go under the name mr.wetwipes 🤣 I have it with me for everything my self. I'm more a good cup of V60 coffee myself, and if I can avoid the dry food I do it 🤣
In Canada we use a multi fuel stoves like my favorite msr dragon fly. I confess in only using naphtha or white gas but like that I can use different types of fuel if I run out. I don't use the bottle fuels because they freeze in winter. I use my stove in my winter camping trips. 😄
A multistove is a great tool and absolute must in the cold winter, but 90% of my trips are above freeszing! And i have 3 or 4 system still! I can’t only have one 😉🤩

Hello mate, I got mine at a Norwegian store, but it is the same as they offer on eBay and amazon. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it is a cheap 3.party one. It has better flame control and it packs down in the kettle of the smallest Trangia. The original (primus) that trangia sell does not fit inside the kettle. 👌🏻 When I look at pictures, I think mine is from Eagle products. Cheers 🔥

But i do think eagle products has the same one. i know there are many different names on the same burner, but i can’t remember what the name are. Try to search for Trangia gas burner and look at everything that is not Primus
Nothing beats a MC break at rest place, then pulling out the Trangia to make a fresh cop of coffe. i got some damn good memory's from the breaks. Ps got mine in 1985 for fish trips, still running rock stable. only think i will do this year is to buy a gas burner for it. ( yes it been a slow coming coffe all dies years HAHAH)
I could not agree more. It is so much more valuable to stop at a perfect spot, whip out the Trangia and make a great cup of coffee. This is where some of the best memories are collected. Damn, that thing is almost the same age as me 👏🏻 Impressive. Cheers mate ☕️
I just ordered the Trangia 27HA due to Mattias excellent comparisant videos, sorry Thomas ;) Ive also heard that you can use the plastic lid as a stand under the Trangia when coocking on snow or sand for increased stability and some insulation aswell. Keep it up and throttle on ....

Hello mate, the cutting board is not included in the kit, that is a accessorie you need to buy as a stand alone equipment. You find it for both sizes (25 and 27) Cheers

I have the HA version.... hard aniozed or what it’s called in english. That you can clean out with gravel, or sand from the river when taking the dishes! Highly recommend that over the alu pots
Thank you René, really appreciate the nice comment. I'm not sure what the name of the gas burner is, I found it on eBay or something like that. I do think here in Norway, Eagle Products has put its name on it. But you can find plenty of good burners out there. The main thing to look out for is the Primus original Trangia burner, that one is too big.
When I go on a motorcycle outing it is normally 30 to 40 days in length. I do a lot of camping in the process. What I carry for gear has little to do with food prep, however, I do cook at the campsite and it is rarely breakfast or lunch, it is generally the evening meal, unless I am spending more than one night in the same location. I do carry the freeze dried meals but also have restaurant meals as well. For me, motorcycle camping isn’t about cuisine, or being able to whip up a nice meal using an alcohol stove or a butane burner. However, I still need food so I carry minimum equipment when it comes to food prep. On the other hand, I make sure my shelter (Tent) is in good order and my sleeping gear is up to the task of keeping me warm and comfortable.... then it’s on the motorcycle the next morning and riding to another location. I find the retail outlets that sell camping equipment are more than willing to sell you overrated and overpriced camping equipment. Motorcycle camping can be as expensive as you make it, the trick is finding great gear without the heavy price tag. I enjoyed your video but the equipment brands you mentioned are not available where I live. It looks like you have what you need to support meal prep and I have mine and they are not similar at all, but we both eat pretty well it would seem..👍👍👍😋
Sound’s like you have a great setup for your kind of riding and food prep. For me, alot of the fun is getting to camp, sett up everything and make myself a great meal before i tuck in at night! And dont forget the warm breakfast the morning after! For me this is key for a good day on the bike. Like you said, i’m no arranger to buy food at restaurants and truck stops! But for me this is all about the adventure! To spend alot of money living like a homeless guy 😂🔥

Not much.... better wind protection, and more solid base. and the size of everything put into on pack is essensial for me. Both are great products. Depends on what you need it for 👍🏻
Thanks. I need one big enough to cook for 4 people (2 kids) so I don’t think even the 25 is big enough with it’s 1,7 liter pot. Was thinking about going with the PrimeTech 2.3L even though I really like that with Trangia I can always buy spare parts, no matter how old it is.
What about buying one or to extra pans for the trangia! Much easier to mix it up when you are with or without kids! Look up Mattias Erikssons trangia comparisons! He show of some good combos
Be careful using the multi disk as a lid when cooking. it is intended as a cutting board. when pouring water off, and things like that. The heat from the gas burner melts the edge when lying on the small pots. do not ask me where I know it from. I only use the pan as a lid. Bought my first trangia 8 years ago. Still the best.

Trangia also makes the Tundra line of camping pots. The Tundra pot lids fit the standard Trangia pots. So for an extra purchase you could use those lids for you standard Trangia pots. 😀

I have alot of equipment that did not suit me as good as i hoped for, so posting tips so other dont need to do the same mistake, is the way to go in my book :-) I try to keep it as honest as possible.
we are very lucky to live in a time of small and clever improvements for every day and situation ... I try to look and try in other directions like bushcraft etc.

That is a good option if you like to boil water, me personaly does not like it, because i like to cook on my stove. And the problem with jetboils is they are hands down scary to use because of the CO2 amount it produce when used. So for me, jetboil will never be a option for me

Yeah, alot of people use them and are really happy. You can easy combine it with a firebox. And the best part about this hobby is to try and fail. Get equipment, try it out and find what fits best for you! Glad to hear you enjoy my content mate! Appreciate it🔥 do you have the 790 as well

I too use a similar 3-man tent for space and comfort; I splashed out on a Heleberg, which I can highly recommend. I am planning another solo ride on some of the TET Norway this summer, so might catch up for a coffee!

Pricy? yes, the HA version is, but you can get the alu one for under 50 euro's... give me some better options, i gladly try them. Yebbut wet wipes are VERY environmentally unfriendly. I use them too but very sparingly.
I love my Trangia. I use other stoves but I always come back to the Trangia. Mine's a 25 series running on gas with Ti pan and bowls. No kettle as I don't drink tea.
Yeah, i have been trough a bunch of stoves, and after getting the trangia 27, it took me 2 weeks to get the 25 as well :-P What a genius stove and how compact it is. Just brilliant. Think i gonna change the pot's for duossal in time :-) Thank you for the comment and taking the time Alex :-)
Haha lol. I travel very light! The wipes i always take with me even as toiletpaper. I use the Jetboil Flash Cooking System with piezo. Its only to cook water, in seconds! I have instant coffee per cup, instant dried travel food. And thats it. Breakfast can be someting i bought the afternoon before and otherwise i stop over onroute.
Haha, I just go under the name mr.wetwipes 🤣 I have it with me for everything my self. I'm more a good cup of V60 coffee myself, and if I can avoid the dry food I do it 🤣

In Canada we use a multi fuel stoves like my favorite msr dragon fly. I confess in only using naphtha or white gas but like that I can use different types of fuel if I run out. I don't use the bottle fuels because they freeze in winter. I use my stove in my winter camping trips. 😄
A multistove is a great tool and absolute must in the cold winter, but 90% of my trips are above freeszing! And i have 3 or 4 system still! I can’t only have one 😉🤩

Hello mate, I got mine at a Norwegian store, but it is the same as they offer on eBay and amazon. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it is a cheap 3.party one. It has better flame control and it packs down in the kettle of the smallest Trangia. The original (primus) that trangia sell does not fit inside the kettle. 👌🏻 When I look at pictures, I think mine is from Eagle products. Cheers 🔥

Hello mate…. I’m not quite sure of the trademark of the gas burner, i bought mine on eBay. But i do think eagle products has the same one. i know there are many different names on the same burner, but i can’t remember what the name are. Try to search for Trangia gas burner and look at everything that is not Primus
Nothing beats a MC break at rest place, then pulling out the Trangia to make a fresh cop of coffe. i got some damn good memory's from the breaks. Ps got mine in 1985 for fish trips, still running rock stable. only think i will do this year is to buy a gas burner for it. ( yes it been a slow coming coffe all dies years HAHAH)
I could not agree more. It is so much more valuable to stop at a perfect spot, whip out the Trangia and make a great cup of coffee. This is where some of the best memories are collected. Damn, that thing is almost the same age as me 👏🏻 Impressive. Cheers mate ☕️
I just ordered the Trangia 27HA due to Mattias excellent comparisant videos, sorry Thomas ;) Ive also heard that you can use the plastic lid as a stand under the Trangia when coocking on snow or sand for increased stability and some insulation aswell. Keep it up and throttle on ....

Hello mate, the cutting board is not included in the kit, that is a accessorie you need to buy as a stand alone equipment. You find it for both sizes (25 and 27) Cheers

I have the HA version.... hard aniozed or what it’s called in english. That you can clean out with gravel, or sand from the river when taking the dishes! Highly recommend that over the alu pots

I do think here in Norway, Eagle Products has put its name on it. But you can find plenty of good burners out there. The main thing to look out for is the Primus original Trangia burner, that one is too big.

Best camping gear out there in my opinion 👏🏻
When I go on a motorcycle outing it is normally 30 to 40 days in length. I do a lot of camping in the process. What I carry for gear has little to do with food prep, however, I do cook at the campsite and it is rarely breakfast or lunch, it is generally the evening meal, unless I am spending more than one night in the same location. I do carry the freeze dried meals but also have restaurant meals as well. For me, motorcycle camping isn’t about cuisine, or being able to whip up a nice meal using an alcohol stove or a butane burner. However, I still need food so I carry minimum equipment when it comes to food prep. On the other hand, I make sure my shelter (Tent) is in good order and my sleeping gear is up to the task of keeping me warm and comfortable.... then it’s on the motorcycle the next morning and riding to another location. I find the retail outlets that sell camping equipment are more than willing to sell you overrated and overpriced camping equipment. Motorcycle camping can be as expensive as you make it, the trick is finding great gear without the heavy price tag. I enjoyed your video but the equipment brands you mentioned are not available where I live. It looks like you have what you need to support meal prep and I have mine and they are not similar at all, but we both eat pretty well it would seem..👍👍👍😋
Sound’s like you have a great setup for your kind of riding and food prep. For me, alot of the fun is getting to camp, sett up everything and make myself a great meal before i tuck in at night! And dont forget the warm breakfast the morning after! For me this is key for a good day on the bike. Like you said, i’m no arranger to buy food at restaurants and truck stops! But for me this is all about the adventure! To spend alot of money living like a homeless guy 😂🔥

Why not using your kovea burner with the Trangia? it is what I do and it works like a charm.

Not much.... better wind protection, and more solid base. and the size of everything put into on pack is essensial for me. Both are great products. Depends on what you need it for 👍🏻
Thanks. I need one big enough to cook for 4 people (2 kids) so I don’t think even the 25 is big enough with it’s 1,7 liter pot. Was thinking about going with the PrimeTech 2.3L even though I really like that with Trangia I can always buy spare parts, no matter how old it is.
What about buying one or to extra pans for the trangia! Much easier to mix it up when you are with or without kids! Look up Mattias Erikssons trangia comparisons! He show of some good combos
Be careful using the multi disk as a lid when cooking. it is intended as a cutting board. when pouring water off, and things like that. The heat from the gas burner melts the edge when lying on the small pots. do not ask me where I know it from. I only use the pan as a lid. Bought my first trangia 8 years ago. Still the best.

Trangia also makes the Tundra line of camping pots. The Tundra pot lids fit the standard Trangia pots. So for an extra purchase you could use those lids for you standard Trangia pots. 😀
Wet wipes aren't particularly good for the environment so they're something I avoid despite their convenience.

I have alot of equipment that did not suit me as good as i hoped for, so posting tips so other dont need to do the same mistake, is the way to go in my book :-) I try to keep it as honest as possible.
we are very lucky to live in a time of small and clever improvements for every day and situation ... I try to look and try in other directions like bushcraft etc.

That is a good option if you like to boil water, me personaly does not like it, because i like to cook on my stove. And the problem with jetboils is they are hands down scary to use because of the CO2 amount it produce when used. So for me, jetboil will never be a option for me

Yeah, alot of people use them and are really happy. You can easy combine it with a firebox. And the best part about this hobby is to try and fail. Get equipment, try it out and find what fits best for you! Glad to hear you enjoy my content mate! Appreciate it🔥 do you have the 790 as well

I too use a similar 3-man tent for space and comfort; I splashed out on a Heleberg, which I can highly recommend. I am planning another solo ride on some of the TET Norway this summer, so might catch up for a coffee!

slow to boil? with the alcohol burner yes, but with gas? no chance :-P What is shitty? It packs really compact compared to other brands. Pricy? yes, the HA version is, but you can get the alu one for under 50 euro's... give me some better options, i gladly try them.
