Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Love this video. Certainly demonstrates the small problems that pop up that can make a simple task bigger with return trips to hardware stores. Love the chicken popping around in the background

A fantastic detailed vide, sean. I really appreciated your demonstration and discussion of the hose fitting and the lack of clear instructions about the dimensions. I went to use my existing hose and the water just went everywhere! I now need to do the same thing you had to do. By watching your video first, you also highlighted the discrepancy in the hose fitting. Otherwise, I would not have noticed this problem, which would have meant another trip back to Bunnings! It's really poor communication on Ryobi's part.

I'd try the regular garden hose, see how it goes. If any problems- it's in Ryobi for not providing the proper equipment

Thanks for your video, and for providing a solution to the hose connection issue! I’m surprised more people have seemingly not had a problem with this; perhaps most just use a 12mm hose without issue.

Nice review mate, I 've actually read heaps of reviews about how bad the Ryobi's are after a few uses. it's a shame because they seem more robust than the Karchers.
Keep up the good work, your reviews are solid.

bought the machine and had nothing but problems with the hose connection into the gun and the gun connection causing water to go everywhere even when using plumbing tape to seal the leak- dont but it as parts are not easy to replace

Cracker video mate, just wanted to give 2 tips.
You didn't need to scrub the shed you just needed to turn the nozzle more to the jet setting, it was locked in too much towards the fan setting. Always make sure its on high pressure mode and you can also fill up some soapy water on the back tub on the bottom and it sprays out snow. Its a good pressure washer really strong just need to fiddle around.
Oh and that 18mm must be a typo because thats false 🙂

I'd put a lazy tenner on it the soap made the difference.

@@countrylifeonthecoast4167 I,did end up getting one partly due to this video. I gave three vehicles a blast with the variable tip and did my mums garden wall and a sectiob of paving.
Yet to give the soap a whirl, but will do next time I do my ute, as although the pressure alone cut out a lot of the work it really needs that soak and scrub.
Got a concrete block wall on our boundry that's probably never been washed in 50 years, keen to see how sugar soap goes.

I bought it, but there is nothing in it, I did not find an answer to it. Does it work for half an hour, then the washing machine warms up and then I turn it on, it pulls the water and works for less than three seconds, then it disconnects and works again and then disconnects, why can you answer me without congestion?

  • @coni619

Thanks for the Video , it 's really informative. Just wondering is there a safety lock somewhere that we need to turn off before use? We set it up today the machine can be turn on but there are no water coming out at all when we pull the trigger? I have tried when machine on & off both no water come through. Initially I thought may be cause we were using the wrong 12mm hose like you mentions in the video but from the comments below it seems other ppls have used the 12mm hose and no complaints. So now I don't know what went wrong😅

    • @countrylifeonthecoast4167
      @countrylifeonthecoast4167  2 года назад

That seems strange. There is no other safety lock or anything that I am aware of. I know initially I need to have the tap tuned on and the power off, squeeze the trigger until water comes out. Then I turn the power on. But that is the only thing I am aware of. Good luck I hope you figure it out.

Ryobi is Chinese and they make black and decker kit , this version of ryobi is utter crap. Never worked out of the box ,the quality is a joke . Bosch aquatek is ten times the machine for 20% more . Before people get their back up , I’ve owned a tools hire business of 30 years and we hold certificates of warranty and guarantees for all the major manufacturers . We also write reports on new equipment before they go on pubic sale. This ain’t a good piece of equipment and it still uses black and decker parts .

Hi Shane. I'd be taking it back to get a refund. I've found Bunnings to be good about that.
Shame though that it didn't even last a year, I would expect a lot better, especially as they give a good warranty on them.
