sure, the PAL version got 480p if you take a component cable
This doesn't work on PCSC2, the game doesn't change the resolution and it changes to "normal" in the settings after restart.

Posiadam hdmi konwerter + component i również od czasu do czasu gram sobie w GT4 właśnie w 1080i : )
Chłopaki możecie mi wytłumaczyć jak to ogarniacie. Chce sobie powspominać gt4 ale na nowym telewizorze wygląda to dużo gorzej niż na starych tv. Korzystam z konwertera PS2 to HDMI
@@p.WojciechS Pierwsza rzecz to dobrej jakości kable component , po drugie potrzebny jest konwerter który dodatkowo skaluje obraz , ciężko dostać ale od 500zl w góre.

only NTSC version generates HD resolution, maybe your game is a PAL version? try NTSC Gran Turismo 4

@@martinflashgordon can you help me, I got a Component cable and the settings in sistem is right, but in the settings when I select 1080i, it looks like the 1/4 upside side of the screen for a few seconds and then comes back to 480i. Do I need some other device like a HD conversor?

How you make it 1080p from settings please make a full vid and the requirements
You need NTSC game version. PAL versions can not go into 1080. When you boot the game there is menu on the start to choose screen mode.

@@serial_box Only if it is modchipped or has some other way to run region free..... It won't simply run on an unmodded console...
