*Use the tools that Splatoon gives you*. The game gives you a lot of information that some players seem to ignore. Abilities shown, specials active, a map that shows what terrain has been painted over, players active, etc. Great video, Dude.
Literally always do this, helps me a ton, especially if someone has opening gambit, usually makes me go defensive rather than offensive so the effect can run out. That's just one of the many examples of how checking the abilities of everyone can help!
@@Moka_M0k4also Ninja squid is important so you know when to be catious around enemy ink. Some open games I dont pay attention and get jump scared by Ninja.
While in the B ranks I have learned this is rarely followed! Some solos never push objective and only focus on splats. I had to tailor my play style to be a total objective hog to make any progress in sets...There are VERY few outliers where you can get behind enemy lines and sneak a win (when both teams are too focused on getting splats in a dogfight/stand off, mostly in Rainmaker and Clam Blitz). EDIT: I also find myself screaming COME ON! SUPER JUMP TO ME when the enemy team is all dead and I have the rainmaker half way to their base! HELP PROTECT ME!!! 😭😂
Oh geez I feel this especially for rainmaker and tower control. I think teammates sometimes seem intimidated on picking up the rainmaker or getting on the tower and just want to focus on splats, so I'm just like alright I'll do it I guess. And usually that gets them moving on to focusing on supporting for the objective. But what's really frustrating is when they don't even support you with the objective and they're just in the back and you're surrounded by all four of the opposite team. Like guys what are you doing???? Lol I still have fun tho
@@dementedzombie2866 I had this happen in the recent jump challenge. The other team was strong, I get the intimidation, but rolling over to get railed is a GUARANTEED LOSE! I would frequently open the map and see my teammates scattered on d'Alfonsino close to the base and not make ANY move to help me while I'm on tower pushing EVEN after I had splatted 2 of the opposing team. ZERO Support. I realized chicken teammates are worse than overly aggressive teammates. 😅 I just learned to not care about losing so I can keep my sanity and joy in B+ now!
@@alondra_missi SAME the jump challenge was just a nightmare for teamwork. I will say all the snipers I faced were insanely good. Can't even be mad at them for that.
0:53 I remember once in X battle (at a decently high power too, above top 2000), my team managed to get 3 clean kills, literally the only one left was an E-liter hiding on the ledge behind plat on wahoo world zones. I made a reckless charge for them hoping to seal the deal knowing they had no one to save them, but I died anyway due to being hit by both their ink mines, and to my horror not a single person followed me. It would've been so easy for us to take out that lone E-liter and stop the rest of their team from jumping to them, but even in X battles people don't always have that awareness, so instead the whole team just jumped back in and our advantage was gone just like that.
Yep. Similarly, to my disbelief there are lots of players in X-rank who don't know how squid jumping to scoring works in clam blitz. Personally, I feel like they need to increase the requirements to get into X-rank.
Also if you are trapped in elo hell, use booyah if you have advantage and this way if it's only you, that backed up, some might see that and react accordingly. Especially in low xp, where people just don't care about the hud but will react to booyah and this way, this is crucial
Agreed I always booyah booyah booyah if I'm about to push in, which is always when the enemy team has lost 2-3 players simultaneously. Just to try to help bring my teammates' attention to the advantage state and opportunity to push the objective.
@@barbarictearemedy you only have to press booyah once, as splatoon 3 doesn't allow you to spam it/isn't visible for your team when you spam it only shows it for the time the circle arround you is visible
Great point! I have 2 requests for Splatoon 4 HUD: make splats more noticeable. Instead of just an X out and the space going black, it would help if it shaked or sparkled or something to make it more noticeable. Also, and this is a big one, on screen mini-map. I feel like the separate screen for map is a call back to the original S1 design where you had to look down and away from the screen (or hold the tablet up very awkwardly) to see the map. I want that information on screen at all times as an easy to glance at HUD feature. Give us options on how bug to make the mini map, add transparency effects, etc.
the x that appears over the player marker at the top is actually much bigger than the player marker for a short amount of time so you can notice it without looking directly at it
I think you’re just not looking at it enough. I’ve been playing for a good long while now and it’s just second nature by now. I see a slight gray circle at the top of the screen, I look and see my teammate is splatted or the enemy is splatted or they both took each other out. Plus, you should always be paying attention to it first before start pushing or if the opponent is pushing. If you’re the team that is down 2 players versus 4, you’re primary goal is to just stay alive and give your teammates good jump points. Plan your strategy around it.
Towards the tail end of this season, I started using everything tool of information that splatoon three gives me. Thanks for the tip I've used this one ever since the end of 1. The problem is most people don't use it or ignore it. Got any more tips? One of the main problems in 3 is that the game isn't balanced! This is the first thing they should have done! I'm s almost a s÷ this happend in A÷ has well, when you go to rank up you find 3 or 2 teams that are awful and then you find 1 or 2 teams that good! I'm sure this tip works for you, but for me, It RARELY works. I'll get 2-3 kills, then my teammates will all go die to the last dude. I'm around xp 2100, so HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?! Out of my friend group, I am the only one this happens to. I almost always get best paint, least deaths, and a lot of the time, most kills. I am a bamboozler one-trick. Why is this happening? The feeding I experience is crazy. I'm talking 10+ deaths to all teammates except me.
Well if one is anything below S+ rank you do it ofc I do but your teammates being alive, competent and not sucking hard doing nothing but dying is a different story
No matter on how often you will loose due to bad teammates if you keep a constant good performance which also helps your team you will win more than you loose. coming from me i lost 8 rank up battles in a row.
