The caption is wrong. Shane Gould won all her gold medals at the 1972 Olympics at Munich. After Munich she retired. She did not go to the Montréal games.

Actually, East Germany had already started their state sponsored doping program before the Munich Games. It’s starting to pay off here, but it was in ‘73 when East Germany had their big breakthrough
