İ have never came across an actor fit into a role like Matt did with Daemon. İf anyone else played him we would have hated the charachter yet almost everyone secretly in love with Daemon Targaryen. Even the ones who hate him the most they admire him surely

He’s handsome, charismatic, intelligent, reckless, open-handed, rides Caraxes, one of the strongest dragons alive at that point, top 3 Westerosi warrior in his day, a shrewd politician, a great battle commander, was a king although he didn’t sit the Iron Throne (Stepstones), was king consort if you consider Rhaenrya to have ever reigned, was the father of two kings (Viserys II. and Aegon III.), two extremely brave and awesome women (Rhaena and Baela) participate in the most epic dragon battle in Westerosi history against Aemond 'One Eye' Targaryen and Vhagar, is the namesake to Daemon Blackfyre. I didn’t even name everything and that is one helluva resume that I don’t think even Aegon the Conquerer and Tywin Lannister combined could compare with (okay, maybe that’s a bit much); and while Daemon didn’t win everything he did, he surely had more going for him than probably any other character George has ever written. Matt Smith did exceeded my expectations. Such an excellent performance from him in S1!
Daemon is cruel, cold-blooded, cunning, charismatic, the blood runs cold. Every time, to the point of goosebumps, emotionally, he keeps his eyes on himself and causes a sincere desire to stand on his side. Gorgeous, brilliant, I'm thrilled😍

daemon knew how otta was leeching of his brother and everytime daemon tried to warn viserys or show that otto wasn't a good man. otto somehow flipped it making viserys think that daemons attacking him. when the entire time daemon has no intention of attacking his brother he's trying to defend him and show him the mistakes he's making, but when daemon does that he lead viserys into making more grave mistakes with allows the leech to grow fatter. people say this war wouldn't have happened if viserys said this or made daemon heir or someshit like that but the simple answer given in episode 2 was, If Viserys made Daemon his hand the realm would be better for it otto wouldn't be able to leech viserys would try to keep the realm at piece therefore he can only see allies in everybody but daemon sees where people are trying to take advantage of situations and prob be the best hand for viserys. since so many lords thought they could control viserys.
Such a good character embodied by an amazing actor specially when I heard it was Matts idea to improvise the scene daemon putting the crown on Viserys and the scene where daemon silently tells rhaeneyra about her sons death. This show was immaculate, I hope Hbo doesn't ruin this one
This is one of those actors who literally become the character they are playing. Just as Iron man will always be Robert Downey Jr, so to will Matt Smith always be Daemon Targaryen!!
and also a Doctor .He is an amazing actor.First time i saw him as Dr Who (after amazing David Tennant) actually i hate him.i thought that i cant watch Dr Who anymore and bammm! i was captivated :)
This show has some of the most interesting characters I've seen so far. The relationship between Daemon and Viserys is my favorite part part of the show.
I like how you don't use weird pop songs as background music that always seem so unfitting in edits and where the song lyrics drown out the character dialogue. Instead the instrumentals you chose do a great job at underlining the emotional gravitas of the shots. Looking forward to more of your work!
Daemon Targaryen is a wine, women and dragon kind of man- He is crazy as all get out!!!!!!!!!! And he got swagger!!!! Yeah- we love Daemon. He the best man on the show. The blood of the dragon definitely runs through him and his crazy nephew.
