A UN report released on Wednesday has provided the first official confirmation of something that had been anticipated for months now - that India’s population is expected to surpass that of China by the middle of this year at the latest. The annual State of World Population report by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) has pegged India’s mid-2023 population at 1,428 million, marginally ahead of China’s 1,425 million.

The sharp population rise in India is mainly becos of the people that have more than one wife and those people that refuses to obey family planning and produces children one after another saying that "it's god's blessings"! Imagine the rise in population if a single person would produce 14 or 15 offsprings with multiple wives and those that produces 8 or 9 children even after being married to just one wife!(I have seen people having more than a dozen offsprings with just one wife). It's time India should implement a strict law that allows no more than 2 children even if he marries 10 wives, only then we would be able to control the population rise. China was n is very strict with birth control norms and today it has gone behind India and has offered us the number one position.
