Great to hear Cole be so articulate and enjoying his summer job .. the experience he is having makes me so envious. Great young man , comes from great parenting.
He just gotta gain more condition using different muscles. Not for an hour but enough for the full 8 hours then his thinkin gets better and faster correspondingly. Then everything gets easier and everything starts falling into place almost by themselves. Including his self esteem. Then he just can't wait to start work the next day albeit after he crawls outta bed that is ♫ You could never be mo happy when your back is young and strong. ♫
Kyle, sorry to hear about your insulation at RRHQ, but I gleaned one thing that you may not have realized... you have such an awesome family! Helping you clean up?! That shows AWESOME family dynamics. Bravo.
I asked my dad to teach me his trade nearly 40 years ago and when we worked together, it was the best feeling in the world. Glad to see Cole up there enjoying himself.
I grew up working for my dad in the Masonry business. I started just going with him when I was very young, playing in the sand pile with my metal Tonkas on small residential jobs. It's kind of funny how things changed. I'm almost 60 and my dad has been gone since 2010 and as I look back there was a natural progression and I woke up one day and we "changed" roles. I didn't realize it was happening as he was letting go and I was taking on more. No words were spoken, it just happened. My dad was my best friend.
👍👍👍 Big Thumbs Up to Cole. The trades are severely lacking in his generation, and seeing his willingness to learn gives a glimmer of hope for our future workforce 😊
Cole grows in confidence and ability every time we see him. He will make an excellent addition to RR in the future. Now I wish him best of luck for the coming academic year and I am sure he will nail his grades as well as he nails purlins. 😎✊
It's great to see you working side by side with Cole it's a bond that will last a lifetime. When I started I was just a kid in grade school and I wanted to be as good as the men I worked with but, it takes time to develop skill and work smarts especially when you are getting pranked on a daily basis, I still have good memories of projects from decades ago even though the men I worked with are all gone.
You guys are so funny working together, but seriously it is super wholesome watching your father and son dynamic. It would have been so cool to know that I helped build something of such a monumental size at Cole’s age. Awesome job Cole! Absolutely love this channel.
Cole will be taking your company over one day with all the knowledge he is gaining working with the best builders. You and Greg have taught him a lot this summer.
Good job Cole! I worked for my Dad before going into the Air Force at age 19. I treasure those days, especially since he is no longer with us. Good luck to you.
I enjoyed this episode more than the others because of the banter you and your son had going back and forth. It was reminiscent of working with my son. We had ups and downs and as a father, I’d push him to always do better and to think outside the box. He would surprise me with ideas that worked and we would implement them. Soak up these days. They go fast and as my situation would be, you’ll never have another. I’ve enjoyed your channel for several years now and it’s something to see how far you’ve come.
Boundry Water area is so beautiful...went there when I was your son's age...on a 5 day portage canoe trip...God's Country...I was born & raised in MN...If youve never been, you will be amazed...we even canoed across the BORDER illegally 😆...there were signs...went went into Canada...and then turned around and came right back...this was in the late '70s...the building is really comin' along...get those damn glasses on, especially with that Paslode framer...Y'all have a safe trip 🙏
Kyle, all of your content is outstanding. But I especially enjoy watching you working with Cole. All of us father’s watching are as proud as you. Keep up the great work!
Last video I saw about the topic, they did remodel a house that greg rents from Kyle. And it went from a basic polish up to a pretty decent rehab with a large part of it sponsored by smartside. Also last addressed, greg doesn't earn any income from the youtube content. Now maybe that part has changed as only recently greg has been wearing a mic but certainly don't know for sure.
Amen man! For an employee to pick up on what's going on and get ahead of things so that they are ready for the next move, I don't know if you can necessarily teach that but it is awesome. Very valuable! Good job Cole
good job Cole. keep it up and you will show up the ole man in no time. my son and I have done alot of projects together and i love it. it is time well spent and time the ole man will never forget. your dad knows what he is doing so you can learn alot. keep up the good work
I really enjoy when a father and son work together. I did it with my dad growing up. Now I get to do it with my son. Great job Cole keep it up see you next summer.
Good to see Cole picking it up. I remember chasing my Dad around trying to learn as he was building stuff. Then i finally came to an age that i could actually help without being in the way. Best years ever. Now hes gone and im trying to do the same with my stepson.
Good job cole!!!! There's nothing wrong with learning stuff from dad. I learned a lot from my dad and grandpa on building stuff. Hope to c u back next summer.
Cole has without a doubt improved his skills when comparing older videos to now. Obviously still a lot to learn from Dad and Greg, but still a big improvement and as a father to two young boys I’ve really enjoyed watching you both work together.
Cole did great. Just to watch his progression from the Christmas break to this summer with maturity and understanding what was going on was great Kyle. Very cool to watch our kids have things start to click growing up. Hope his football season and school year go well. Hope Greg has had a great Honeymoon!
These videos are my absolute favorite.!! Seeing father and son work together and seeing your son learn and grow.. I must say he is definitely a Spittin image of his father… much love Cole .!! 💪😎 glad to see the younger generation wanting to learn valuable skills .. .!! And I must say the camera skills are not to bad also .!!! 🤘😎🤘
Kyle I know you hear it all the time as I once did ( I hv a two children boy/ girl raised now ) however; it was encouraging to me therefore it’s meant as a lift for you ! Your wife & you hv done and are doing from all appearances a great job with your young man Cole and your daughter! That’s not by accident or luck of the draw ! But blessings from Christ & hard, hard work !
Stay ahead of curve! I worked for my uncle over summer when I was young. He liked to work with me because he did not need to talk much about next step, I already did it. Salary was huge but he appreciate that!
Kyle and Cole You work together very well. Cole I am proud of you as you learn the Building Trade. I see your progress on the job all the time. Love these videos very much. John in Missouri Valley Iowa.
You're lucky to have Cole Great young man I was fortunate enough to work for my father every summer All the holiday vacations Learn so much from him so very much. Glad you both had this opportunity come up.
Way to go Cole. I remember doing piece work with stepdad on weekends in high school for apartment complexes in Arizona, hot fast work, learned a lot, good times
Grew up doing the same with my dad building. Construction is one of the few jobs where kids can still apprentice under their parents. Kudos to y’all. I regretted that I was unable to do the same with my daughter.
I've been doing Drywall for 32 years. My son used to go with me a lot when he was little. He started coating the screws when he was three yesrs old. Most people don't belive me when i say that, but i have the pictures to prove it. When he was 8 a church we were doing paid him more than i was paying my lowest guy to crawl around between two ceiling to fire tape. He's 26 now and he's progressed so far. We've branched out in to so many other aspects of construction the last few years. This year we built (still trying to finish) our first house from the ground up. We've both learned so much, and while it can be frustrating because he's like Greg and can be argumentive and we're both strong willed, it's also amazingly rewarding. He pushes me to be better just by his improvements, and he sometimes catches a mistake I'm about to make, which is a mixed bag. Lol It can be hard working together sometimes and finding that balance between boss and dad, but it's worth it. It's great to see you guys getting along, and working together. I think that's something that's missing in this world today, and it's to the world's detriment.
One thing I’ve found when learning something new even with super experienced mentors is that sometimes you have to make your own mistakes. To see how and why this or that doesn’t quite work best and that helps you to buy in on the techniques and suggestions from your mentor. I can only imagine that dynamic is multiplied 10x with a father/son scenario as kids are always trying to forge their own path (even if they’re told from the start and will self-recognize it might not be the best one, but it’s still THEIR OWN, so they gotta try). I applaud Cole for his willingness to absorb, to do what even when done right is hard work, and honestly just to be on camera. The Interwebs and these comments are filled with armchair experts that’ll be quick to pick anything and everything part so just his willingness to put himself out there and for others to see his mistakes and learnings in 1080p is commendable.
I’m in construction and I’m telling you right now Cole’s way ahead of so many teenagers his age when it comes to working and learning half of them can’t even hold a hammer right or do simple things after 3 weeks of showing them how todo it so be very proud of him
Excellent video. You working with Cole is always enjoyable because we all can relate on both sides (the dad/mom teacher and the son/daughter apprentice). I loved this video.
You’re a lucky man Kyle to bring Cole with you to work! I bring my son to work with me every chance I get also. Although he’s only 7, he is super easy to learn and can trust to do certain tasks all by himself. Granted I’m not letting him saw or nothing dangerous but I let him do a lot. Right now I’m doing a remodel for my sister in law, his aunt, so I can bring him all I want. I hated school going back because he can’t be there with me 😂.
It's cool that you have "a get it done " attitude with your son.. You shoot straight. Just like the way my dad talked to me. My gramps on the other hand were gentle. I miss them both. It is definitely stressful at times trying to teach a new person when you have been doing the job yourself so long. I totally understand Kyle when he is explaining to Cole each and every exact move he wants him to make. I used to always explain to my employee ……… I do everything for a reason and when you are trying to work as a team it’s important that everyone is making the same exact moves for efficiency. I guess it’s like being in the army. You can’t have one guy out of step with the rest of the crew. Thumbs up to Cole for a job well done. Cole, you made some precious memories this summer working with your dad. My dad was a carpenter and I helped him a good bit. Cherished the memories. Good luck in school.
I'm glad you're having your son with you. Giving him a skill that will take him a long way. And who knows? Maybe take over the business from you, dad.!!!

Cole, always remember, Dad is not always right, but he is always Dad! Hope you two continue to have a good father/son relationship.
My son works with me full time. It's a fulfilling arrangement. I'm sure you feel the same way when Cole is available to help.
Kyle, sorry to hear about your insulation at RRHQ, but I gleaned one thing that you may not have realized... you have such an awesome family! Helping you clean up?! That shows AWESOME family dynamics. Bravo.

There’s no question that Cole is your Son. He’s a clone of his dad. Big Thumbs up for you Cole. Good Luck in your next semester.

Love all of the great comments about Cole and the father/son relationship here. All the best to you, Cole!! Have a great summer my good man!!!

Great sons come from great parents! This summer will always be remembered by both of you, and the partnership is enviable.
Nice seeing Coles' mastery on the hammer, grabbing it by the heel, full power, no longer choking up!
Kyle, all of your content is outstanding. But I especially enjoy watching you working with Cole. All of us father’s watching are as proud as you. Keep up the great work!
I think you should do a series where you build a house for Greg
Hes already living in a house that he and Kyle re-built.
Sure just spend 500k on the guy you pay. That make sense
I mean it's nice, but it takes away time he can take a project, build something for a customer and make money for his family and business.
@@NaenaeBoyspend? I mean Greg can pay for it, and the content helps pay Greg. 1+1 can equal 2, think about it. 🙄

Cole gets 👍👍, that’s a double for a great save for Dad this summer.

What a fun video. You can see the joy and respect you two have for each other. Cheers to such a great father/son relationship.
Cole is awesome! Big thumbs up for him!!!
Cole great job. Remember the times working with my grandfather. Learned so much.

As always, a good son is a reflection of a good dad (and mom). I'm sure that he is looking forward to going back to school.

Cole you grew a lot this summer - mostly in forearms from pounding all those 60's. Your Dad's an excellent mentor.
I really like watching you work with son it reminds me of when I worked with my dad so many years ago.
Grew up doing the same with my dad building. Construction is one of the few jobs where kids can still apprentice under their parents. Kudos to y’all. I regretted that I was unable to do the same with my daughter.
I am always grateful that my Dad taught me work ethics and to learn, and help him with work.
Loved working with my son and miss it. Glad to see you two work so well together. Great job Cole have fun in school.
Very satisfying to watch.
2-3 guys building massive structures. Thumbs up!
That “truss spin” was AMAZING! Way to go Cole! Regardless…I’m sure these are lifetime memories! Can’t take those away! #fatherson

The father son dynamic makes it that much more entertaining. Great job Cole and RR buildings, great build and thanks for the content.
If Cole doesn't take over the family business in construction, the lessons and inspiration learned working with his father will be invaluable to him.
As a father myself, I appreciate that you praised Cole but still let him know that he has a way to go, and to keep him a little humbled.
Excellent video. You working with Cole is always enjoyable because we all can relate on both sides (the dad/mom teacher and the son/daughter apprentice). I loved this video.
I really do appreciate your patient with cole.
Cole seems like a Great Son even though you pick on him so much. Love the back and forth. Thankyou
Congratulations Cole! Treasure these days with your dad!

Memories man. He will look back on these summers fondly years from now😊
Thanks for showing interest in the building trades Cole, great job this summer learning with your Dad.
It's been watching Cole grow over the past couple of years
It's cool that you have "a get it done " attitude with your son..
You shoot straight. Just like the way my dad talked to me.
My gramps on the other hand were gentle.
I miss them both.
My girls tell me, Dad you don't beat around the tree. You just say what you mean. 😊❤
I'm a lone ranger myself.
But I'm good with it.
My little grandsons are both coming along fine. And great grandson are doing good too.
One of my great grandson is starting skool this year. I will get a chance to see all of my grand children graduate too.
I will see my youngest daughter get her PhD too. ❤❤
Two girls have their Master's degree now. Life is good. ❤❤
Cole is doing amazing. The hardest part of being a dad is stepping back and letting your kid struggle. But they need the repetition in order to improve and get better. Youve done a great job of passing down the tips and tricks as his skill and confidence have grown.
Cole, great job this season hope to see you again soon!

That’s pretty impressive that you got 1/4”. Extremely exact. I think most people wouldn’t get how tough this would be
Great job Cole!! your dad might not say it enough, but you are coming along just fine. Kyle, who is doing your video work, they are good.👍
Nice Job Cole!!! Run circles around your old man.
I think it’s awesome you get to work with Cole and he is learning the job!
Cole has learned a lot this summer. Enjoy your time in the Boundary Waters. It is a magical place.
Cole keep up the good work!!! Have fun back at school!
Nice to see Cole working with you and Greg . Good worker . Good luck in school.
Cole has a good head on his shoulders for his age and construction experience. You should be proud of him.
Love to see father and son working together. Luck having that great relationship.
True craftmanship passing to the younger folks is a blessing for the construction trade. What makes it better is that it is passed down to your son.
You have done a great job with Cole this summer! I have really enjoyed watching him work and learn!
Cole, you did a great job this summer!!! Hate to see you leave the jobsite, but I know school comes.first. Take care and study hard and good luck.
Great work Cole. See you getting comfortable swinging that hammer
Nice job Cole!!! Have a great start to the school year!
Thumbs up Cole. Please continue to follow in Dad's footsteps. 👍
Great video on “How to”. Nice work. I hope to build my own small workshop someday. With your videos I feel confident I could do it.
Cole is a great worker! Great job both of you!
Thumbs up to Cole for a job well done. Cole, you made some precious memories this summer working with your dad. My dad was a carpenter and I helped him a good bit. Cherished the memories. Good luck in school.
Nice work Cole. You have really come along nice. Excellent young man.
I'm glad you're having your son with you. Giving him a skill that will take him a long way. And who knows? Maybe take over the business from you, dad.!!!
Oh, and also you're a better teacher than I would be with my sons. I don't have the patience anymore
Cole has changed a lot in the last few months, more confident and self assured. Good job, dad!
Cole is one hell of an apprentice. Hoping his boss gives him an AMAZING bonus.
Great job this summer Cole keep up the good work
Best of luck to Cole, he is learning fast.
Bravo Cole, hard work is an important attribute and you have it!
Great job Cole good luck with school this year 💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍👍
