He's even said in the press conferences that he's not as fast as he was 20 years ago. Not even as fast as 10 years ago. Not even as fast as 5 years or two years ago. If speed is ALL Mayweather has to fall back on, I don't think he would win. If you want to add technique, strategy and other factors in there, the fight becomes more matched up. But just saying that Mayweather is fast doesn't mean anything. He's not that fast anymore. He's going to need more than speed to beat McGregor.

Not really sure why people think McGregor stands a chance. Mayweather tires out opponents in the first few rounds by making them swing and miss. If you say that McGregor has punching power, he has nothing compared to the top boxers Floyd has fought such as Pacquiao, and theres a reason he hasn't even been knocked down for 16 years.

I was not a big fan of Floy Money Mayweather, but I went back watching many of his fights in the 90s and 2000s, and then watching his last 4 boxing matches. I came to realize that Floyd is one of the smartest tactical boxers of all times, and unlike Tyson, Ali and many other legendary boxers, Floyd never ever lets his emotions overcome him, and he keeps focused on the game plan regardless of whether things are going his way or the bad way. His secret is simply that he knows his limitations so he doesn't go there and focuses on his strengths which are his speed, defense and 100% know-how of every aspect of boxing. He cannot be surprised. I think Floyd will beat Conor because he will keep doing what he does best, while Conor will get frustrated and angry, and will make lots of mistakes... Moreover, Conor will get tired while Floyd despite his age will surely capitalize on his great stamina.

As much as I would love to see McGregor win, I have to put his chances to slim. McGregor used to box so it doesn't throw out the possibility of a unexpected performance against Mayweather. But McGregor will have to change up his signature style/stance/tactics, whatever you may want to call it, against him and in boxing match standards. Mayweather does not have to do much changing in comparison. McGregor does have a good potential of slowing Mayweather down with well timed shots that land with his power and accuracy. Having to take in account of Mayweather's speed and agility for offensive and defensive. The strength and weaknesses for both sure do collide. Mayweather has not had a match for I want to say more than 7-8months? Currently. There's more I can put into this but I have rambled on enough lol

This is very good and informal, but they didn't take it something that only boxing and MMA coaches know. Boxers punch harder than MMA fighters on average. Especially in combination. So when McGregor threw a combo, the shots following up to the big blow wear significantly less powerful than Floyd's.

Conors strongest discipline is his boxing, he is weak every where else. The streets are unpredictable and you can never be 100 percent sure of the outcome on the street.

They take different martial arts such as boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiujitsu, full-contact karate, submission wrestling, Judo, sambo, and Muay Thai. Boxers pretty much just stick with boxing.

For all the MMA fans ESPN is talking shit the pull counter is different from the shoulder roll right hand counters. Pull counter is when you have a high guard and pull back to slip the jab and then counter with the right hand and then Floyd ducks under to avoid get countered. 1:14 is a pull counter the rest are shoulder roll counters. Mcgregor also does a version of the a pull counter but its not shown here.
