- Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo is a two-time Major winner, a respected in-game leader, and a devastating AWPer. And while his success on Counter-Strike’s biggest stages alone would be enough to mark him as one of the best players in CS:GO history, his legacy is so much more than in-game results.
This is his story.

I remember seeing the luminosity guys at Cluj Napoca, after their first win in the group stage I shouted " Go Luminosity. WOOO!" and Fallen looked and me smiled and waved from the stage. What a legend.

First time I watched Fallen (and Luminosity) was when they lost a game against Fnatic at Cologne 2015. I was in awe of Fallen's talent despite them losing pretty bad. They called me pretty bad names on reddit because I called Fallen a top tier player. Well I was basing everything on a single game. Fast forward 1 year and they win their first Major then shortly after a second one.

I was one of the cameramen at that dreamhack where they came back and cleaned house. After the 2nd game of the fnatic match, I spoke to zews while he was out smoking, and he complained about his hand hurting, because at the end of every round, win or lose, he would slam his fist against the back wall of the player booth. They just couldn't believe how well they were doing, and neither could the crowd, which cheered for them even though they faced a swedish team. It was easily one of the best matches I've ever been a part of producing.

My first CSGO major I decided to really watch intently was Columbus 2016. On a whim I decided to pick a random team to root for, I chose luminosity simply because I liked their team logo. I was so incredibly excited to watch their reign begin. I've been riding the Luminosity/SK hype train ever since that day.

Goldven fallen is the best igl. He's not the best swept at all, fer isn't the best lurk, taco really isn't all that great and neither is felps and I'd go niko over cold but fallen is what brings them together to be the best

It's an impressive play, yes, but there was little skill involved at all. The starts aligned for that play. The same play could've happened in a Silver Matchmaking game from someone who had played the game for 100 hours, it's impressive that he had the confidence to try something like that during a high level tournament.
@@Leo-jh3kp it was more of a high risk high reward, he has an awp, he cant rotate as they alr push out, chances are that entire thing is prob fate, the luck, the timing ,everything on the line, it was the luckiest , yet the 1 of the most iconic play in the world.
@@Leo-jh3kp actually i think it was breakdown in of the interview and cold saw that after he hit that first awp shot he quickly realize that he has no time get into a better position so he just risk it and try to align the shot. but the balls to risk that moment and realisng you have no time. and making a desisyon to make that play o man o mab
