    Love it!!! Though Explode the code isn't by grade. Go for the code abc is for kinder. 1 and 2 is for 1st grade, 3 and 4 is for 2nd grade, 5 and 6 is for 3rd grade and 7 and 8 is for 4th grade. Then there's beyond the code after 4th grade.
    With that being said, all kids should work at their OWN pace and so it doesn't really matter as long as they're progressing and learning and having fun! But just thought I'd mention it to people that the number doesn't represent grade level. It is only meant to go to 4th grade then go beyond. But all kids are different!

    I love your DITL videos! I love the flow of your days :) Enjoying the great outdoors is such a perk for homeschoolers. I cannot imagine if my kids were stuck in a classroom sitting in a desk for HOURS every day. They would miss SO much not being (living - let's face it, my kids live outside haha) outside for hours a day!! I've even thought about switching our "summer schedule" for school to March-May so they can spend even more time outside before the HOT Florida summer!

      Thank you so much, friend! I think your plan sounds amazing! I've often contemplated that as well because come August, everyone is tired of the HEAT! 🤪

    thanks for sharing! I have a third grader and we're doing good and beautiful language arts and math, but I've been looking at adding teaching textbooks next year so thank you for that little preview. I love his mullet-my son won't go for one lol.

    Yes I love this, we are in Texas so July to august is so hot you can’t outside, we are soaking up as much outside time as we can right now. We have a pool inflated and daily walks are our priority right now. Focusing on independent subjects at night now and family in the morning.

    Good Morning! Thank you for your video! I love your heart! I love that you go with the flow and don't let " sit down" lessons to over consume you, but rather you allow for life skills, and learning through trial and error, etc. You truly help me to relax more especially when it's warm and we just want to play and discover! Great job Momma! I've been thinking about purchasing Gather Round History and Living of the Grid for next year. I was just going to purchase the Teacher Editions to read and discuss with my kids and not purchase the Student Pages. But I'm not sure if the student pages are necessary???? I don't want busy work. Since you've used it....what are your thoughts. Also...I sent you an email about a shirt I purchased. Not sure if you received it. Thanks dear!!

    • @SimplyLivingIt
      @SimplyLivingIt  2 года назад

      Hey friend! To answer your question, yes! I feel the pages are necessary. They often times include things maybe not mentioned in the teacher's guide! I wouldn't say completing them all is necessary but having them and being able to make that decision, YES! 💜

    Not sure if you answered this… do you think the teachers guide is crucial for explode the code?

    • @SimplyLivingIt
      @SimplyLivingIt  2 года назад

      For Explode the Code, crucial no...handy at times...YES! 😃 It is also handy to help teach new concepts and correct what they have already done.

    I just added Evan Mor spelling for my third grader! I’m hoping it will help, she can read the words just fine but can’t remember how to spell them. So thought I would give a more traditional approach, the good and the beautiful seemed to confuse her more! Sometimes I feel like I’m always changing things trying to find something that will stick ! 😂🤪
