This is only our fourth year, so listening to you as "a veteran" just confirms the way we are doing things are exactly "perfect" for our family!!! I am very glad I listened to the voice from Our Heavenly Father to let our kids guide this process and to SEE them in all this "teaching". We are very much unschoolers and LIFEschoolers at that and I am thankful we did not waste years on unhappiness and found our groove that much quicker!

Thanks for the video! Encouraging. Go to 4:24 to get the what is not and what is important. Basically there's nothing perfect, stop trying to attain it, there will be struggles (everyone does) and realize things change year to year, and homeschooling is not a one size fits all...every family is different. Curriculum isn't the end all be all. Make sure to pray first. Go to a HS convention.

I just want to say thank you for your motivation. I’ve been doing this since Covid homeschooling and it’s been a challenge. There’s so many cons and it can overwhelm us all. I just trusting God thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this reminder. I almost teared up listening to this while I'm making dinner. This is our 6th year homeschooling and has been by far the hardest year yet. I've been thinking alot of what you talked about in this video and thinking i must be doing something wrong. I got really discouraged sometimes watching these home school videos. Because my children are not super smart. Like the typical home school students are and so we have had to tweak things and sometimes it seems like we see everyone talking about how good their kids are doing and they're going to University, and they're doing this on that and I'm just lucky to have them get thru the day successfully.
I think we all go through this... I have found the mentality of being more realistic, knowing there isn't a perfect curriculum out there, knowing curriculum may not be the problem... all of this comes with experience and maturity. I have tried to talk to new homeschool moms so many times, and when I mention what I have learned, their eyes glaze over - LOL. I'm not offended by it... it's just something you have to personally live out to really get it. (and YES to Denison!!!!!!! LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!!)
I needed this today so much today ! Thank you Jamie!! I absolutely love how real and raw you are!! Homeschooling isn’t a bed of roses all the time. There are some amazing days, but girl there are hard times too!!

Thank you for encouraging. This was my second year homeschooling my middle school boys…. Thank God for great advise as yours. I haven’t had to switch curriculums, we have our block schedule and it gives my boys a sense of stability. Also will be adding Denison math for 8th grade. God bless you!

Bless you. Needed to hear this. We are a newly RUclips family vlogging channel. My son just finished his apprenticeship with the labourers union. He actually graduates from it tomorrow.
