I don’t swim in water when I can’t see the bottom I never have and I never will. If I can’t see what I’m swimming in there’s no way I’m getting in that water, especially saltwater.
Same! But even that, sharks can appear fast even in like thigh high water. I haven’t been in the ocean in like 15 years. Yo. I used to go out deep in NJ beaches 😭 talk about not seeing through the water 😂😂 that stuffs like dirt water. There’s a reason they call it dirty jersey. Haha
Kind of rare at topsail tbh not really near the river openings where all the bull shark nurseries are, but probably a roaming juvenile just tasting everything to see what is good...main reason I don't swim in the ocean here this time of year...NC has a few months or so a year of kid bull sharks running around.
My family and I went to topsail beach Father's Day, and the shark attacks in FL happened a week before that, so I was definitely aware. I have a 4-year-old, so we just go in to where it'll go a little above our feet. Thank God he's okay and the shark let go!🙏🏽 Its hard when you can't see them and they think you're food from your movements. I always joke and say it's the sharks home, not ours! I think I'ma just invest in a pool, lol.

shark attacks are not rare as they seem to happen often last couple years. multiple people fully devoured in the past 2. if we were around sharks as often as say deer, we would have many more shark attacks.

Just watched a video on sharks riding the waves to ambush prey and here he said a wave hit and then he got bit
