I think Valentine raises an excellent retort: If it's so fake, why is it so hard for wrestlers to get health insurance? I also trained for a few years and have been a mark since Kindergarden. I just saw the film today after much waiting and I have to say that not only is it cinematically an excellent film, but I'm so glad as a mark to have an honest and heartfelt portrail of the business and it's performers.
I have yet to see this movie, but seeing these men in roundtable makes me proud to call them HEROS! Sorry i'm so late. It is time to organize a support system!!!!!!!!!
Looking at the guy, knowing he smashed into things and people for a living, and knowing that his nickname is "The Hammer," I wasn't expecting him to make a witty off the cuff remark about health care
2:16 what is greg "the hammer" valentine doing? it either looks like he is rolling his eyes (for a at least 10 seconds) when lex is talking, or is trying to remember something.
@lumpagogo how am i off. the exact date of predetermining is uncertian as it was a bit shaddy but the GDT was in the 1920's. I just reread my comment and I did forget to mention the 1920's part for the GDT.
blading is always been apart of wrestling, its nothing new, but its part of the show, when you work a match, you have to protect yourself and the guy youre working with, and do you think that getting busted open the hard way is a good thing for your body? no, so they blade to sell the spot without injuring the person to the point where they cant walk or talk right.
@jediKnightreviews I noticed that too, it almost looked as if he was thinking "Oh Christ, here we go again with Luger talking about his drug habit and how religion saved him." Might not be at all what he was thinking, but it sure looked that way.
wrestling is fake dude... search youtube ... and btw in the movie he uses a razor for popping pit blood if that isnt fake wat is fake then acc to u lol
"They say that wrestling is fake, but we can't get insurance."
That was a great line.

they can't get health insurance because "why would they need it? they don't actually get hurt."
It's GOOD to see Luger again.
I agree. It's awesome to see that he turned his life around.

Great movie
Piper commented on wrestlers don't get pensions, well, not many other industries have pensions either nowadays.
"It's not checkers, bro". LOL
Luger was a world Champ in WcW and NWA. Dude was the man. And a Four Horseman.
I loved that part heheh.
ROWDY PIPER, A TRUE HERO NOW SADLY GONE, THE WORLD IS LESS COLORFUL WITHOUT YOUR PRESENCE, GONE BUT NOT DARED FORGOTTEN,
HOTROD FOREVER (1954 - 2015)
Exactly. They don't like how he treated Miss Elizabeth when she died.
@lumpagogo actually it started at the turn of the century in carnivil At-shows. it was the "Gold Dust Trio" that made wrestling what it is.

same here brotha, same here
I get the imoression that these guys don't like Luger very much.
Because you don't know who will win. And you want your guy to win.

@micharris512 i am a bit confussed. how is admiting your past mistakes as a warning to a younger generation a bad thing? at least he isn't in denial.
And people ask why he never comes back to the WWE. Because he's making millions per film, that's why.
Piper has aged well

Yall leave Beefcake alone, he was a character, which I think puts him way over DDP and Luger.
This should be on the special features, but its not!
im sorry i loved beefcake back in the day but he will always be known as hogans boy.....

It's b/c vince mcmahon is a slimy snake and uses these guys and then throws them in the trash.
first!! :D
What's the point of life?

Luger doesnt deserve to be in the same STATE as these Greats... Dallas is barely allowed...
