For anyone wondering about the second case, the reason Eric Millerberg got 6-years-to-life was because he got convicted of child abuse homicide, _NOT_ first-degree murder. In fact, in 2006-five years prior to Alexis’s murder-Utah House Bill 102, aka "Lori's Law" (named after murder victim Lori Soares Hacking; very sad case) was signed into law. It increased the minimum sentence for first-degree murder from 6-years-to-life to 15. To put it simply, Utah sentencing guidelines are unbelievable & utterly ridiculous in my opinion.
