i dont understand these placment on my smurf acc i reached diamond I just before it ended ,in new season first 2 games got dc and then agai lost 2 games ,and then won 6 in a row ,so 6wins and 4 loses ,got placed in platinum 1 with that,so did u lost all your matches and went to bronze or what?
Some extra tips for Barik: Your barricade has a pretty low duration, so it's best used when you know a big burst of damage is coming (Kinessa/Tyra/Lian's ults, Drogoz's salvo, etc.). Try to put it in a place that will protect your teammates (specially the support) too. Your ult is best used to discourage enemies from entering its area or as an emergency barrier, not really to do damage. If you're using the healing station card (and you should), it's okay to place both turrets together to tank more damage, but it's usually best to keep them separated to prevent getting both of them destroyed by aoe damage, so if one is destroyed you can retreat to the other to heal.
This is a great guide regardless of the aim section. Many of lower ranking players dont have the game sense needed, great video explaining what game sense is and how the lower ranking players can use knowledge like this to their advantage and games. Thanks, jay.
I have bad aim, but I still reach Master. I main tanks and support, but i can play some flanks and damage too. Drogoz, willo, Pip, zhin and Moji are perfect for people with bad aim. I think a tutorial video about how to play tanks would be great, because the most player only think stay on the point with the highest objetice time made you to the best tank. Hi rez tanks are more than feeding point tanks. They are more flexibility to play. Fernando, Ash, Makoa and Ruckus are great offense flank tanks and away stronger, if you play them aggressive. You don't get any big burst damage, if you kill fast their damage dealer. The frontline is not only the point for example your flanker in the team can't beat two damage dealer at the same time you can help him with your flank tank. You tank the damage from them and your flank have a better chance to take one out. If a tank stay face on face against a Damage dealer, they try to damage the tank or run away. Both choices are bad for him, if he focus the tanks he need normally to long and your flank finish him and if he choose to run away, your flank will chase and finish him. You have two options to play a tank. A: You play him aggressive and help your flanker to kill their back line fast or B: You play him passive as your own back line support to protect your back line against flankers. Torvald is a tank, but he is better outside from the point. His shield and silence ability skills support your back line really good, because his shield protect your healer or damage dealer against flanker. Torvald is the best Bodyguard or flank killer in your team. The most player use his silence wrong, because they use silence against full hp player, but silence is a finisher skill except against tanks. Flankers are almost run away, if they lose 50% or more HP and that is the perfect time to use your silence. ez rekt against annoying flankers like evie or zhin. Inara is another good bodyguard tank. I play Inara only with her cripple talents, because you steal their escape skills. If a flanker try to target your damage dealer or support, you only need to cripple him and he get full damage from you and your support/damage dealer. The most flankers won't try to deal any damage and try to run out from the cripple, but you never need longer than 2 second to get him down, if your damage or support damage with you against this flanker. My A tanks are nando, ash and Terminus, because i have bad aim and my B tanks are Inara or Torvald. I only play torvald aggressive, if i have a flank in my team. The dumbest move as tank is to run blind in the point, tank the full damage and die for no reason. Protect your team or help your team, but don't stay on the point and hope your support or damage dealer can handle every flanker or your flanker can beat everyone in the enemy back line.
I was silver 3 last season (got promoted from bronze 3). This season I was placed at silver 3 again. In my bracket, most people have no idea on how to play a frontline, all they know is VHS. Its so frustrating to heal such idiotic tanks! Love your videos, they really helped me a lot! Much love
Great and clear guide! As someone who has bad aim, i'd also add ruckus to the list. Since he has 200 bullets, missing some of them isn't that much of a problem
nice guide!being one of these players this are indeed the champs i use.i would also recommend pip for the support role since he is not too hard to aim with and can be a decent pick if you are forced to go damage or flank
Do you want to play with people who want to win and play better, or those who doesn't? You improve when you play against people who are better than you, not those, who are bad.
I find with Jenos, because of the way his heal works, it's better to just predict who'll need it instead of react to who'll need it. I usually put it on allies as they approach the forward area.
lost two games in a row with jenos had 180k heal in the first one and 150k in the second :( (only 50k damage i know i am working on that) first game we were leading 3:1 second game we had a level 3 andro vs a kinessa the andro was running around the point like a headless chicken spaming his abilities like a bot :( idk man, i am taking a break till im good enough to win games alone with no team mates
jayflare :) I have played games against you very good player. I am Catbelly on pc. I play using my laptop and a wireless mouse, so my set up isn't very great and I have to depend more on game sense and awareness since i'm really restricted. I found this helpful thank you.
I got to diamond V last season (lost and got to gold V because I wasn't able to play for a long time), mostly playing as Barik, Ying and Jenos. If you have good positioning, at least a mediocre aim, and good game awareness (and deployable placement, in the case of Barik and Ying) with those three characters, you can be extremely good.
Crap mouse, stuck at plat 2. Got new expensive mouse, got to diamond 3 within the week of getting the mouse 😂. Thanks for the sweet edumacation JayFlare!
I got Essential Tremors, which the only way to describe is "think Parkinson's." Difference is, my hands shake while they're being used and at random than all the time...which makes mouse and click...kinda hilarious abeit motion sickness inducing after time....yet I tend to play Flank roles...Buck...Strix...~pip~ but do put out the effort of support rolls like Tank and...Pip :v The hints here are true: knowing your utilities for any character is a must, and then learning how to put those utilities to your handicap comes later. Though I tend to stay away from competitive/ranking play mainly for two reasons: not my cup of tea...and I like hearing people calling me an Aimbot.
I don't have great aim myself and I like to play dmg characters in any game, so the thing I do is pick the hero who got a fast firing weapon and I go medium to close range with those characters. One thing I do with viktor or Vivian that can make there spread more accurate via cards is that I don't put much points on those cards and maintain a good spread of bullets so that even with bad aim I'm still hitting dudes. Though sometimes equipment is a factor and it does matter.
could you make a draft guide were you mension what are good picks and what good counterpicks you want to make? I'm sure it would help me out alot atleast btv, your videos are great and helped alot, especially with rules and when mension specific champions, time or other more exact things :)
You should do a guide on how to get better aim. I talked to some of my friends who were stuck in gold last season. One of them had insanely high sens and mouse acceleration on. Once aim accel is gone he aimed way better. I never lowered his sens but i think if he did his aim would be leagues better. I think a lot of people who have bad aim have bad aim because of there settings
You've mentioned a how to play series that you plan on making in your streams a couple of times... can you make Fernando one of the early ones? I just had a game were Fernando held his shield and did nothing else but walk at the enemy even when the rest of us just died... Was scary.
I find it strange that for me I can easily land hits with makoas cannon, grovers axes, grohks Main weapon/shock pulse, viktor with scope but I can't land hits on characters like androxus and talus.
The tips on the support class work great. IF YOU HAVE A CORDINATED TEAM USING VOICE CHAT. That is something i never see in my teama in comp. You might say that this is because i solo q. But no. It is the fact that nobody wants to play serious in comp. If you want a comp gwme where people use voice chat go to overwatch.
my Problem isn't the aim my problem is fps playing at 28 fps xd my aim is good tho i tested it out on my Friend computer and its good but my pc sucks nice video btw Jay
I was surprised but after I got my new mouse(Logitech G502) with practice, my aim is actually very good. Like I can land my damba heals and get strix shots. But still I seem to SUX with Bomb King and Cassie and Lian(but she has auto aim so I'm still very good with her) Surprisingly my andro aim is pretty good too But BK is still so hard to aim for me Comment made before watching video
helo, good guide, if imay add a bit. try seris first if you wanted to try main support, she is easy and not too punishing in bad position and can get out easily. you will get the fundamental aspect of support. then jenos or ying, ying is good to try positioning and jenos for timing and prioritization with his celestial mark. for the same time it never hurt to try damba but if its too difficult, dont exhaust too much. something you forget to mention is the need to also understand enemy position as support. you dont want to get flanked or sniped. you need to atleast know albeit vaguely where the high risk enemy is, like flanker or sniper or anyone dangerous and avoid them. as support dont have that much in term of damage. cheers
9:21 LATAM supports in a nutshell and almost all supports below plat in other regions. "The tank is missing 500HP and the flanker has 500HP left, better heal the tank".
Okay, but my greatest barrier with ranking up is not my aim or skill, it's that my team tends to have a chromosome advantage. I'm stuck in bronze/silver, despite almost reaching plat a few years ago (stopped playing the game and got sent back).
most tanks in my games just stand on point and don't go zoning, and most support, just don't stay on point, while frontlines doing their real job: frontlining, zoning and not just standing on point but help dmg/flank to keep enemies far from point, while peaking back for some heal if needed... The old thing: Fernando just standing on point with baricade up, aegis equiped from start. The new thing: Khan picking lian's shield, than doing the same as below.... just doing that almost nothing worse because he's not nando, with nando's shield and with nando's health pool -.-
Wait so combat UI is the thing on top that shows who is alive and who not and your team HP and Ult? I wondered what it was and I didn't notice any difference.
My issue with paladins on PC is fps. The highest I can get is 45fps, I'm not a bad aimed but is just the lag is killing me. I play on none gaming laptop processor i7-6800k intel 520hd graphics card. I was able to get to platinum 1 last season before quitting rank mode half way through the season and I'm not planning to play rank this season until summer when fully setup my gaming pc. Right now I'm just buying the components and it should be ready by the summer.
I am a healer and tank main, but I find that I still have trouble ranking up. Any tips? My personal favorite champs are Mal'damba and basically all the tanks, if that helps.
Peter Engstrom A Tip would be: Push your ELO in matchmaking. You can See your ELO on Paladins Guru. I mean your ELO determens what Players you get. Lets say you have 2000 ELO than you will face people With around 1900 and 2100 and that should be better players
@@JayFlare132 Huh OK I was pretty new to the game at that time and I haven't played Ying back than. I just guessed that it was like that. Thanks for replying though.
I play in console but sometimes ( the majority of the time) my aim is suck, that more happen when i play androxus, y i still thinking that play paladins in pc is more easy to play
Am I the only one having better aim depending on the weapon ? Like I aim better with Chancellor snek than Wickerman, I aim better with Steam Punk weapon for Andro than his other weapons...
What to do when you have bad aiming???
The answer is simple my boy:
"That's lord Zhin to you!"
The solution for bad aim?
You're playing Paladins, it's got broken hitboxes. Figure it out.
Or moji
Reached Diamond V last season (was placed in Bronze III) with my potato aim :)
I had exactly the same issue, plus I have a max of 30fps on my pc
i dont understand these placment on my smurf acc i reached diamond I just before it ended ,in new season first 2 games got dc and then agai lost 2 games ,and then won 6 in a row ,so 6wins and 4 loses ,got placed in platinum 1 with that,so did u lost all your matches and went to bronze or what?
Ante Smith No I didn't loose all the matches. But I played pretty bad tbh. My aim wasn't the only thing that sucked back then.
Ranked isnt to hard last season i get a acc from a friend (the acc was silver) and i reached master in 2-3 weeks
Anjula Ratnayaka oh ok i played almost all matches as best in my team ,thats probbavly why i got placed high with 4 loses
Some extra tips for Barik:
Your barricade has a pretty low duration, so it's best used when you know a big burst of damage is coming (Kinessa/Tyra/Lian's ults, Drogoz's salvo, etc.). Try to put it in a place that will protect your teammates (specially the support) too.

I have better tip for barik : don't play barik unless 4 tanks are banned and the ennemy has fernando and ash
If you think that's the only time when it's good to pick him, then you obviously don't know how to play him.
Dude i just want to say that i have seen u in the comments in every paladins vid in the last few months. lol

hello jay my aim is so bad I have a 100% miss rate with lians abilities what do I do
Go back to Overwatch and play Moira.
That sounds like a plan. brb while I uninstall paladins
ok im back
XD
But.. lian's right click and grace will auto hit the enemies...
This video is so helpful! Console doesn't have the best aim assist and my mains are aim intensive.
L Stafford console's aim assist is broken af and makes some champs op af
L Stafford. dont blame it on aim assist I'm an andro main and i adapted to the new aim assist and my aims gotten better than wha
se7en that is what I did
Kafeem Anglin on options (I think the controls section) at the bottom is aim assist strength, friction, and/or magnet. Turn them down to 0
I was silver 3 last season (got promoted from bronze 3). This season I was placed at silver 3 again. In my bracket, most people have no idea on how to play a frontline, all they know is VHS. Its so frustrating to heal such idiotic tanks!
Love your videos, they really helped me a lot! Much love
my aim is fine but i always get match with noobs, afk and feeders... so i end up losing regardless
Jackson Le you can't blame noobs for being new to the game
Ugandan boi But he can blame them for playing competitive even if they are noobs.
RandomStuffOnVideo that's true
Cynicalfik i prefer assholes
Abbad Abigail everyone has their preference
Great and clear guide! As someone who has bad aim, i'd also add ruckus to the list. Since he has 200 bullets, missing some of them isn't that much of a problem
Luv ur vids man! Keep up the good work with the small times between these new videos!
Thanks dude. So many people don't know how to appreciate tanks and supports. The carry is not always the dps.
Oh boy, the Maeve aim struggle is real
Crazed Zephyr ikr
no shit man, gravity sucks.
Bitch pls im rekting with her on console
loki chan teach me ur ways bb
jø STREET JUSTICE 4 DAYS BOI if your aim is bad Just play with zhin/buck/dragon stance koga theyre ez
Thx so much i would also say Grover as his only major thing is positioning as the heal surrounds him and his axe hit boxis absurd
nice guide!being one of these players this are indeed the champs i use.i would also recommend pip for the support role since he is not too hard to aim with and can be a decent pick if you are forced to go damage or flank
I really love what you’re doing. This is helpful for a lot of players new to the game.
Just play Vivian and drag your whole arm across your trackpad.
How to rank up with bad aim, you ask?
Use OB68 Lian.
Shantanu Bhattarai lol she's still broken as of this very morning after the patcher update
A full video on just positioning would be helpful. Its something i need to work on. Great video btw.
For no aiming, i have the best improvemment... buy lian
One question..
Whats the point of ranking up if it doesn't shows it on loading screen?
How to fix matchmaking?
Hi rez : well lets hide the ranks 😎
Bikash Mazumdar Sense of accomplishment. Bragging rights since you get a loading frame of your highest rank when the split ends.
Do you want to play with people who want to win and play better, or those who doesn't? You improve when you play against people who are better than you, not those, who are bad.
ludvig4 That's a different frame that isn't tied to rank. Idk what that one looks like.
I don't get it, why did they even remove the frames. You could actually see the ranks of people you play with and against.
+WarOfWizards People throwing and leaving because someone on their team has a lower frame.
I find with Jenos, because of the way his heal works, it's better to just predict who'll need it instead of react to who'll need it. I usually put it on allies as they approach the forward area.
This channel has the least toxic comment section within the content creator's community in paladins, you should be proud people 👏
Thank you for the help you are the most helpful RUclipsr out there
lost two games in a row with jenos had 180k heal in the first one and 150k in the second :( (only 50k damage i know i am working on that) first game we were leading 3:1 second game we had a level 3 andro vs a kinessa the andro was running around the point like a headless chicken spaming his abilities like a bot :( idk man, i am taking a break till im good enough to win games alone with no team mates
u can t win by yourself i played games with 29 kills while my teammates at 5 kills believe me it is not possible
Awesome videos INCOMMMING..... JAYFLARE ALERT!!!!!
Terminus, Bomb King, Seris. There you go, saved ya time.
This was helpful well done
Would love to see more of this
jayflare :) I have played games against you very good player. I am Catbelly on pc. I play using my laptop and a wireless mouse, so my set up isn't very great and I have to depend more on game sense and awareness since i'm really restricted. I found this helpful thank you.
all soooo true, hope more people will see this and can learn from this. bc I always get bad teammates :/
"AFTER I HEAR HER YELL GAYS"
u gotta love how he put Fernando in the thumvnail
I got to diamond V last season (lost and got to gold V because I wasn't able to play for a long time), mostly playing as Barik, Ying and Jenos. Love it !! Hope it will improve the global lvl of paladins player soo the competitive will be more interessing ✔
I have 630 hours in Paladins and I still suck at aiming :(
why are u always in my games
i have 1.2k
I don't have great aim myself and I like to play dmg characters in any game, so the thing I do is pick the hero who got a fast firing weapon and I go medium to close range with those characters.

“Tank is an easy role, you didn’t carry, you’re just a tank player” ~ every gold player I play with
And that's y I'm platinum even though I play with noobs
could you make a draft guide were you mension what are good picks and what good counterpicks you want to make?
I'm sure it would help me out alot atleast
btv, your videos are great and helped alot, especially with rules and when mension specific champions, time or other more exact things :)
FYI terminus hits anything on screen and a bit outside if theyre close enough
You should do a guide on how to get better aim. I talked to some of my friends who were stuck in gold last season. One of them had insanely high sens and mouse acceleration on. This was amazing dude, really helped me :)
Can u make a bomb king guide as his skill cap is so high BTW I love these videos
remember when torvald had a lockon as his primary? i miss that
My mechanical skills are bad but game sense is good which helped me to rank up playing tanks and supports, I play dps in casuals
If you want a comp gwme where people use voice chat go to overwatch.
luv ur vids
You need more subs...becayse you incredibly good at explaining.....i wish you can explain other char plz.
When's the OB68 drafting guide coming out?
Good points in your video... But my aim when healing as Mal'Damba sucks. 😂
I should probably stick to auto-target or AoE healers.
Another thing: Frontlines are not entitled to all the heals. There are 3 other players on the team.
my Problem isn't the aim my problem is fps playing at 28 fps xd my aim is good tho i tested it out on my Friend computer and its good but my pc sucks nice video btw Jay
Very helpful. Thank you bro.
Play Zhin, Moji, Lex. High reward, no aim required.
So next guide.. how to improve aim nd use abilities to the most perfection?? Love ur guides tho, keep up the great work
The problem with frontlines are that of the healer not good you as good as not existing
You should put the *dabbing* Androxus in your outro lol
I was surprised but after I got my new mouse(Logitech G502) with practice, my aim is actually very good. Like I can land my damba heals and get strix shots. But still I seem to SUX with Bomb King and Cassie and Lian(but she has auto aim so I'm still very good with her)

But BK is still so hard to aim for me
Comment made before watching video
فرحان باشا that android though
051m android? Eh?
فرحان باشا look at your main reply XD
051m lmao meant to say andro
I have the g502 as well and that mouse is incredible. The accuracy it has is so exact it's crazy
I definetly recommend androxous if you have bad aim. Just like all my teammates in comp.
I've gotta remember to check out your card on champions, I'm curious what an experienced player like you builds

Can u do what u did for fernando for every tank and support please? I really enjoyed it, it was super useful
9:21 LATAM supports in a nutshell and almost all supports below plat in other regions.

what if your entire team is damage/flank and you're a solo healer/tank? what would you suggest to do in that situation cause it seems to happen a lot
"How to rank up fast?"
"let's show fernando as example"
*playing in quick match*
Same rules apply lol.
Whoa what seris skin was that you used in shooting range?
I love when u say "byeeee" Idk why XD
You are what I call pro bro.
another useful tip is to watch pro players (ppl, pgs etc)

Today i reached bronze 2 bc of bad af teams. 5 wins/5 loses. And now idk what to do. Wanna reach gold V for that skin. Some advices? :(

I think they should nerf seris' burst dps . I mean she can technically solo kill a tank, even tho her hp nerf makes her a little worse.
Id be fully open to a more indepth look in the future :) btw your andro is mean :( i played as drogoz on pts and you could aim :)
How the hell are you supposed to play Ying withput aim, I mean to play her properly for healing you need the life exchange, and for that you need aim.
This video was made before we got the current version of Life Exchange.
@@JayFlare132 Huh OK I was pretty new to the game at that time and I haven't played Ying back than. I just guessed that it was like that. Thanks for replying though.
That moment when you cant even aim with your targetable heals

11:28 can you please let maeve equip the Raeve skin while dancing next time?
Am I the only one having better aim depending on the weapon ?
Like I aim better with Chancellor snek than Wickerman, I aim better with Steam Punk weapon for Andro than his other weapons...
I've gotten some comments in the past about people aiming better with certain weapons.
Jay Flare Guess there are other strange people :p
Really good video btw
