I love these tips omg! and just to add to the very last tip: Here's what I do in my ranked games: (1) Start with a very friendly "hi team!" gives people the sense of "teamwork" (2) start asking your team what are their roles (find out who plays what and ask if they can play meta champs) (3) don't insta-lock (this buys time for team-mates to pick/counter play and also gives time for you to change champ if your whole team screams at you to change the champ you picked.) (4) I Always tell my team to work together, fight the enemy not each other and I say like this ... "if you want to win guys: don't fight each other, fight the enemy. (5) if my team-mates are being singled out, I ask 2 of my team-mates to pair up. Positivity works well. Never say anything nasty about your team-mates it will lower their morale and even cause them to quit, better a bad team-mate fighting hard, then a bad team-mate sitting in the corner emoting and throwing the game: scream at your screen not your team! :)
Dope ass tutorial, even for experienced players like me. You should have also added Lex to the brain=shut off list, since all you have to do is spam left click and strafe. Memes aside, I especially appreciated the "ignore the trolls and salty teammates" section at the end. No matter how good you are, people might piss you off and you'll end up playing worse. I still need to work on that. Sometimes my teammates tilt me so hard and its difficult to control myself and not flame them.
@Kamivs if just like to say thank you so much for making videos like this. I've been struggling with Evie for a week and I've been trying to find a solution to better my game and I've found it on your videos yet again.thanks a lot again
I have been playing a lot of lian lately and my aim got much better. F and right click is irrelevant on the dmg board. If you cant aim you are going to play horrible with Lian and do no dmg.
Trust me, I'm a lvl 53 Lian main who uses Alacrity with a Valor-Grace cd reset build. Most of the time I spam my F and right click and get around 90-100k dmg per game. But yeah, the rifle, Q and ultimate still needs aim so it also takes a bit of skill to really play Lian.
Adam Ramirez that thing may works in casual versus noobs but me being diamond 1 and playing with masters and sometimes even pro players in ranked the only viable and playable Lian is Death and Taxes/Precision.
this video actually helped me. before this video i dint train my aim, positions cooldowns, maps, i just played, and now im starting to play more ''competitive''. Thank you Kami :)
I recently got back into paladins and climbing my way up to masters, at a stand still at diamond 3 and I've loved watching your videos to help me improve and this one is just pure amazing :D
I wish I had something like this before having to learn all of this the hard way. It could have helped speed things up a lot. Of course, my aim still isn't top tier; I don't think I've practiced consistently enough, which I think is also really important, but learning the things you talked about in your video, especially when it comes to the last point, made such a huge difference. Practice and you too can look forward to getting accused of aim hacking! xD
Watch if you want you can ride a bicycle using one leg but that does not mean is the best way to do it. I play on a shitty 60 hz monitor on a laptop and I am pretty close to Master rank but with a 144hz monitor and a decent Hardware pc I am sure I would be much better.
I play on a mac, so if anyone doesn't have the proper hardware/equipment I have some tips. 1. If you have a mousepad that's too small, don't use it at all. 2. Try and maximize fps by playing on all low graphics. 3. Having stuff like youtube in the background also cuts down the number of frames you will get. 4. A mouse and keyboard are VERY important 5. Play champions that are more based on muscle memory, such as Evie. I'm currently masters 160ish tp so hopefully these will help you climb the ladder as well!
I have high ping issues occasionally. But I found that playing a hit scan on high ping is just like playing projectile on low ping. Just that small mindset shift helped me a lot.
I run paladins on my dinky laptop in 30+ FPS and I can aim fairly well and I do well in matches. While FPS is very helpful, it's not the end of the world. Anyone can aim in lower FPS so long as they get comfortable in it. Great tutorial!
Watched the video even though I'm a PS4 player. Can we get some Furia gameplay? She's a beast support with her healing and shielding! Much love, Kami. 👍
CerebralSoldier yeh me2. the only difference is you can't upgrade your hardware. my monitor is a one that is too old only 720p and I still do good XD. in my opinion as long as you have higher than 60 fps you can't complain about your hardware
K-Kami-senpai, this is exactly the kind of advice I've been needing. Now I feel like I can muster the courage to play champs I'm not used to aiming with like Sha and Evie.
Kami, you're a godsend :,) Sadly I think one of the reasons I'm struggling so much may be my resolution. My resolution is 1280x1024, and Paladins lacks a proper setting for this resolution, so I sort of play on a bit of a squished screen. Either way, I'm still definitely going to try this, and see if my aim can be further improved.
Everything you said is right! I have been most of these things recently not all, However you gave me some extra ideas I am glad you made this video I hope the best for all Players around the world
You can also practice flicking with Pip it also helps with leading shots and calculating the drop-off, but that's a whole different type of aiming than what you showed.
To the people who do not have good hardware (i have a rlly bad laptop. intel HD 4000 graphics so..) look up NVIDIA geforce now. it will give you LOTS of fps if you have good connection. you have to wait in the waitlist for about 3 weeks to get it but it doesnt matter. it also runs fortnite at all epic settings in 150fps.
Finally got around to playing this game more and was doing pretty well with androxus (mind you i’m a very bad flank/assassin player); until the game started randomly crashing recently. Game crashed 2 times then i stopped playing out of frustration.
As a main Lian, she is an all around and It usually pisses me off seeing how in top play, Lian is usually just tracking and not moving a lot and it makes her moves predictable. Like you said Kami, you want to be unpredictable so your opponents would have a hard time tracking and shooting you. For me, I would jump up and down constantly and since Lian is skinny, with movement speed, she is hard to track and shoot. I use that to my advantage and go for combos like jump then right click then grace and then jump again and press q. Rhythm of jumping up and down gives me the edge to stay focus and see my surroundings more clearly. I'm not in the top leaderboards of Lian but I'm a veteran at using her
I remembered when there are toxics and losing and shit like that, we should always dm Kami and use him as punching bag (if you can remember that vid, ayo) Serious note, thank you so much for these valuable teachings and tips. But just a short one: does Ying good for practise as well in any type of aimming mentioned?
I m italian so is impossible not to get mad and scream XD.... tnx kami always great guide and guys keep trying what is more difficult for you until is not anymore, and never give up.
Bro, i'm Mexican and all my people always get mad for little usless problems, but im not like they, if i think i'll get mad i just stop playing and do some stuffs to calm down
Honestly though after I played paladins for about 200+ hours I realized I got better at everything :p I used to be only able to play certain champs by now I can basically play any champ all you guys need is muscle memory 😂
Kami, I am having a bit of trouble with the flick practice, would you recommend practicing the previous method to get more adjusted to staying out the target? I usually notice I shoot and dash but have pauses/hesitance/slow responses getting back onto the original target. Is it best to try and stay on the target while you're dashing or to look back after the dash?
The farther you flick, the harder it is to reset your cursor on the target. Especially if the target is moving. It's all with muscle memory. Practice flicking as far as you can and trying to reset back to the original position. When you can do that consistently, keep trying to go further and further. It's a super hard thing to practice, and I honestly suck at it :P
Gotta say, I've been playing Paladins for over a year and a half now, and I'm still shit at aiming. I've watched alot of aiming tutorials and none of them have honestly done it until I saw this one.
Yeah, I've been playing paladins for over a year, and while I'm good, (not bragging lol, it's just the hours I've spent) but I've been on such a bad tilt these last few weeks that I've decided to improve my core gameplay skills to see where I can get better. I'm going to take this and focus my aiming for the next three months, say an hour a day in the training room. Let's see where I am in three months lol.
Could you explain the point in the ban system, and why I can't mirror a character if the enemy team picks it?, It actually hinders the game and, if a player plays a character casually constantly, if the character is constantly banned and not available in ranked play, how can Hi Rez say they accurately ranked you? That is absurd. Also, why the other modes like Deathmatch don't have their own ranked ladder? The game really seems setup to only benefit certain types of players.
Kami, in a real game how to practice flick shots with Andro ? whenever i try people just kill me instantly. In practice i can do decent flick shots but in a match i miss all of them.
The thing about Kami is... you just know he's right. And despite all that HiRez does to make us NOT want to play this game, Kami does the opposite. Every. Single. Day. I know that sounds like super fanboyy sort of complimenting, and for all that it is, it is but "What are you gonna do?" (in Kami's voice) TLDR listen to the man, and thanks
The last tip, if you don't follow this one everything is basically pointless. Helped me out much Kami thanks for this guide!
Hyuga need more tips for that tip, if that makes sense. Keeping positive in competitive video games ain't easy.
Joseph Coggins well i can do it then others can aswell. And its really not that hard
Joseph Coggins Remember that this is only a game for a lot of people, and all that people had a hard day and just want to have fun.
Hyuga lol did u really need aim improvement
I guess if one of the best Strix I've ever seen had something to learn from this, then it's gotta help
Kami, this is why i respect you.
Kami Academy nostalgia 😍
"overwatch for paladins,it's not overwatch its actually paladins"

Ik I'm late to the party but bro your comment is just pure gold
Am I the only one that just loooves kami's voice? I want to sleep on a bed made of his voice. Nice vid dude. loved it
Yuup
Well..That's kinda creepy
but yea
Dope ass tutorial, even for experienced players like me. You should have also added Lex to the brain=shut off list, since all you have to do is spam left click and strafe.

I am plat 3 and still play with people that use level 1 lex and standard loadout and still suck...
lel give them aim bot sha lin they will still suck as hell
Who's "them"? Lex players?
Wow it must be bad on pc on console you do have to aim
Do the lol technique, silence all of them at the start of the match
2:22 The Most Satisfying Video In The World
OMG I NEED HELP!!
How do you NOT fall in love with the way Kami talks??
@Kamivs if just like to say thank you so much for making videos like this. I've been struggling with Evie for a week and I've been trying to find a solution to better my game and I've found it on your videos yet again.thanks a lot again
*shuts off brain*
*100% focus on aim*
forgets to breath
im not joking...
KaBluey yepp happens to me
every time man :(
Whit strix or kinesa holding breath helps
Lian mains be like "Aim? What aim? *presses F then right click then back to F*"
Then you will get same damage as the makoa in your team
Then you've seen nothing but crappy turtles if you think they can't do much damage.
I have been playing a lot of lian lately and my aim got much better. F and right click is irrelevant on the dmg board. If you cant aim you are going to play horrible with Lian and do no dmg.

LOVE YOU SO MUCH
Ur fans from Indonesia

Omfg ty for this.. I've watched this 3 times over and it took me 45 mins as i analysed everything.
this video actually helped me. before this video i dint train my aim, positions cooldowns, maps, i just played, and now im starting to play more ''competitive''. Thank you Kami :)
I recently got back into paladins and climbing my way up to masters, at a stand still at diamond 3 and I've loved watching your videos to help me improve and this one is just pure amazing :D
Hard to do this stuff when you play with integrated graphics.
yep playing on a low end laptop on low settings with 20 fps sucks
I'm glad I'm not the only struggling 😥😥
Just as I thought - you are the one who actually gave *universally useful* tips. Thanks a lot for the video, Kami - this one is an excellent job!
I wish I had something like this before having to learn all of this the hard way. It could have helped speed things up a lot. You are a treasure sir and you make some great content. When I finally find a job you'll be one of the first people I'll be supporting monetarily.
Ive been waiting for this for so long. Thanks kami!
Just get a 1080ti and a 240hz monitor and next day you will find yourself in fnatic or Navi.
Barka Dog the hand of justice > F'natic or Navi
Barka Dog pretty much 😂
and a gamer chair.
Yeah, I am playing wih 30 fps with everything on low and with androxus and still getting top plays. Oh yeah, lvl 150. iWatch
Watch if you want you can ride a bicycle using one leg but that does not mean is the best way to do it. I play on a shitty 60 hz monitor on a laptop and I am pretty close to Master rank but with a 144hz monitor and a decent Hardware pc I am sure I would be much better.
By far the best video on aiming I have seen. You the best Kami.
4. A mouse and keyboard are VERY important
5. Play champions that are more based on muscle memory, such as Evie.
I'm currently masters 160ish tp so hopefully these will help you climb the ladder as well!
Best tips I ever heard . Thanks Kami keep going like that . Hope you improve on growing. Much love💚💚💚
Really really great video! I've been playing Paladins for over a year and still find that my aim sucks. Hopefully all this can help!
Exactly the kind of guide I needed for a long long time. Thanks a lot Kami!!!
enjoy teh spaghetti kami!
Kami I swear you're the best paladins youtuber, video was insightful asf
I did not find out that my aim was pretty good until when I had 90 ping ang 60 fps ,the problem was only my internet not my aim.
trying playing at 40 FPS & 250 ping to see your real aim :), no dont just kidding.
I have high ping issues occasionally. But I found that playing a hit scan on high ping is just like playing projectile on low ping. Just that small mindset shift helped me a lot.
skeptic gamer thats my ping before I used a gaming vpn
This is one of your best kami academy videos
I run paladins on my dinky laptop in 30+ FPS and I can aim fairly well and I do well in matches. While FPS is very helpful, it's not the end of the world. Anyone can aim in lower FPS so long as they get comfortable in it. Great tutorial!
Thanks Kami, there's everyday, I learn something new from you, thanks a lot. Educational+entertainment
7:50 "I'm gonna get me some spaghetti". So you touched ma spaghetti :D
Excellent guide btw, keep it up!

K-Kami-senpai, this is exactly the kind of advice I've been needing. Now I feel like I can muster the courage to play champs I'm not used to aiming with like Sha and Evie.
This tip is really good, helps me out a lot. Thanks Kami :3
This is awesome!
Thanks Kami for the guide! :)
finally a video that doesn't repeat what the other ones say
Great tips on aiming, I didn't know about the flicking technique.I actually learned something today,AWESOME!!! L0L
Kami is working for a better paladins community
Definetly the best paladins RUclipsr ! KEEP IT UP EVERYEVERYONE LOVES YOU
Kami, you're a godsend :,) Sadly I think one of the reasons I'm struggling so much may be my resolution. I think I need to work on all of these, I hadn't even thought about trying to hold the mouse differently.
Or you can just play willo. No aim needed!
Nop she hard to play AND AIM TRAKING
ZzzMAXzzZ V-Bov lol having those big ass blast radius she requires aim? Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Nah man, just get Lian and get top damage for using Alacrity LC and spamming Grace. I know I do hehehehe
Beat Drogoz >75% with Willo and come back
Play lex lamo !
Le even better moji !!! XD
Everything you said is right!
I have been most of these things recently not all, However you gave me some extra ideas
I am glad you made this video I hope the best for all Players around the world

Here comes the grind of becoming a good paladins player
This made my day soo much like wow Ily kami ❤️
Can i do this with flicking on the ps4?
6:15 oh i was there... LEXCELLENT!
Nice video man, i really hope have an aim like mutu someday xd
*"Why you have to be mad?"*
Don't forget Ying and Jenos for tracking, and Damba for flicks/tracking.
Can you please make a video on what is/are the suitable aim type to be used PER champion
Kami, is Koga good to improve the aim?
Nice Zarya quote at the end!
I play Overwatch and I used to play Paladins but what I do is get in breathing distance of the enemy and spam left click
Is it possible to be a pro at Koga? Maybe not guns but, claws?
You gave me a lot of motivation mate!! Cheers
Finally got around to playing this game more and was doing pretty well with androxus (mind you i’m a very bad flank/assassin player); until the game started randomly crashing recently. Game crashed 2 times then i stopped playing out of frustration.

Now you can with LEEEEXXX
Do you have a controller tutorial? Hate controller for fps but Im also playing it on the switch.
first aim video that really helps
Lian mains be like = Lmao idc wat u say,ima get my all hit shots with grace legend card and my enemies have to deal with it!
alacrity sucks needs to be reworked and yes as a lian main i hate lians who do that
this is really helpful! thank you kami!
I don't play on pc but I still find this helpful. Thanks Kami.
I remembered when there are toxics and losing and shit like that, we should always dm Kami and use him as punching bag (if you can remember that vid, ayo)
Serious note, thank you so much for these valuable teachings and tips. But just a short one: does Ying good for practise as well in any type of aimming mentioned?
I wasn't taught this good at school.. thanks K A M I much love
"Who tf is Mootwo? Ohh he mean't Mutu"
I m italian so is impossible not to get mad and scream XD.... tnx kami always great guide and guys keep trying what is more difficult for you until is not anymore, and never give up.
lorenzo barbuto LMAO
dai imparerai
Why it is impossible to not get mad as a italian?
Bro, i'm Mexican and all my people always get mad for little usless problems, but im not like they, if i think i'll get mad i just stop playing and do some stuffs to calm down
kami deserves my respect
My strix flicks are out of this world
#ConsoleLivesMater
Caleb Something RIP
Lol Bud it is the best platform
What are you reasons for this opinion is cross platforms make or break for you?
this is why i love kami
That's just.. A great video!! Well done
Gotta say, I've been playing Paladins for over a year and a half now, and I'm still shit at aiming. I've watched alot of aiming tutorials and none of them have honestly done it until I saw this one.

Yay! A kami guide.
Good tips kami i have been working on my aim but how can i be more confortable
What i do is put a piece of paper on the monitor to cover up the whole weapon, that way i'm more focused on the crosshair than the weapon it's self
You touched me with the last part hahaha i rage so hard at games sometimes
I find useful use a metronome for keeping the pace of the shoots
thanks dude video helped true its only a game so if i lose ill keep at it thanks a bunch
One of the best video ti watch! Tnx Kami for the tips :)
i don't need aim with lex tho :/
Man thx so much ,it's really supporting
Loved the tips Kami .. thanks a ton
notif squad coming in hot! But thank you so much. This is definitely gonna help me!

Kami, in a real game how to practice flick shots with Andro ? whenever i try people just kill me instantly.
In practice i can do decent flick shots but in a match i miss all of them.
Best coach ever ...who with me
Who is the Best flank in paladins
How do you get your fight with Andro to be just a dot. I can only get cross. Pls help me!
The thing about Kami is... you just know he's right. And despite all that HiRez does to make us NOT want to play this game, Kami does the opposite. Every. Single. Day.
I know that sounds like super fanboyy sort of complimenting, and for all that it is, it is but "What are you gonna do?" (in Kami's voice)
TLDR listen to the man, and thanks
Could you do a video on team selection in ranked or something along those lines??
