Tales of Symphonia Regal Solo: Origin [No items/Mania/No Damage]

Another super easy boss. I'm honestly not sure why they made Origin so easy. Maybe because you get no break in between him and Kratos 3?
Game Modifications:
-Used Arte Sphere mod
-Modified the party
Strategy:
He has no iron stance and he tends to spam easy to dodge spells like Earth Bite and Spiral Flare. He's just combo fodder like Kratos 3. The only things to look out for are his normal attacks which have a back hitbox and his Rameesh which he'll use at an HP threshold. If I knock him down or put him into overlimit, I can just jump away to dodge it after he gets up.

Honestly, I've thought about it but I think it'd be boring for me. A big part of why I enjoy playing Symphonia is because I love how spell-canceling feels, it's kinda why I don't like playing Lloyd too much although he's probably the best character despite not having spell canceling. Other than the fact that I wouldn't have fun playing without it, it'd kinda just extend the length of easy fights like this one by a lot and make hard fights like Pronyma 2 downright impossible (to no damage at least)

No iron stance and requires a high hit count to proc OVL... they just wanted some of these bosses to get bullied haha.

Question:For characters who don't have the spell cancel tech(Like Llyod) is it even possible to combo like this with them?

Yes. For Lloyd, he can even infinite combo bosses with no iron stance like Origin using just normal attacks and a well-timed Demon Fang lol. For bosses with iron stance, Lloyd relies a lot on knockdowns and the Demon Fang restand property. As for Presea, I don't think she has much long combo potential due to how her artes are. I'm not a Presea player and I haven't watched much of her either so I might be wrong on this one :p

I wonder how powerful would be Regal if he would still uses his hands?

Always felt sad how easy he was especially since he is supposed to be this leader of spirits of sorts. Kinda same fate as Maxwell honestly 🥲

At least Maxwell is more of a threat in a party setting since Meteor Storm is a lot harder to dodge without the fixed camera of solo... Origin's really got nothing going for him lmao.
