Thank you so much, Jens. My fresh re-install of Windows 10 had a vram of 0 for some reason. I only needed about 2 minutes of the video to reinstall the driver properly and for DaVinci to run properly. You are great!
Thank you so much! You've made this hugely scary problem much easier to tackle. I still can't move forward because my drivers (which I double checked with your video) are "unknown not supported" (???) and won't let me click on them, but! It's really nice to be able to troubleshoot and get other possibilities out of the way :)
Thanks. I'd tried various "fixes" without success. I have a Radeon RX580. I went to Device Manager and updated the driver there and it fixed it. FYI - I originally got screwed up by an AVG Driver Update. It created an "Open CL.dll was not found" error on boot. I tried removing and reinstalling Resolve. That generated the "Unsuported GPU Processing Mode" error. Downloading and installing an older driver from the Radeon site didn't fix the problem either. I'm not sure if the problem was with the new driver or the updating software... or my lack of sophistication with the various software issues.
When changing the GPU processing mode from AUTO to CUDA, I don't have anything available to select. I can only untick auto, nothing in the drop down menu.
I had to downgrade my AMD Drivers as the new ones wouldn't allow DR to start. Went to the AMD folder on my PC where it keeps the previous versions and then chose an earlier one, and then installed that. Fixed it!
if you have AMD like me (7900 XT), solution for me was uninstalling AMD adrenaline and let windows to install gpu drivers by itself... I tried multiple driver versions, it didnt help. Your solution didnt help either. Then i reinstall windows and it worked, because there was no adrenaline software, just driver. After i installed amd adrenaline, davinci stopped working (resolve studio 18). So i uninstalled the adrenaline and davinci works perfectly fine. My specs: ( i7 9700k, AMD 7900 XT, windows 11 64-bit, amd gpu driver from 25.7.2023)..............So maybe there is some tweak in andrenaline, which cause the problem...but i didnt bother.

For me, it was my video driver. The one supplied via Windows Update didn't work. Reinstalling the AMD driver and disabling Windows from updating the driver resolved my issue.
for me, windows automatically installed some bad driver that isn't synced with the adrenaline version for my amd gpu, and i had to reinstall the drivers. this keeps happening
