Our prices are higher, though. One difference is that I walk everywhere when I shop for my groceries and carry things home in a backpack. There are large supermarkets for people who choose that way of shopping. But I like to help keep the small independent shops in business!

So interesting Vika, thank you for taking us with you on this grocery shopping expedition. I was immediately reminded of your Grocery Shopping in Russia video and how so much has changed in nearly a year and a half. It is so nice to see you all enjoying the experience of buying such fresh food and interacting with friendly people. I hope you have a wonderful dinner with your Georgian friends!
Your shopping trip so reminded me of shopping when I was young. Separate stores around the neighborhoods, butchers, bakeries, delis, fish markets, vegetable stands, and smaller supermarkets. Now, it's big impersonal supermarkets. It's so nice you are in such a beautiful place. We live in the state of Georgia in the US. Right now groceries are very high in price. You got a lot for 100 US dollars. I was looking at a corned beef the other day which was about 2lbs and it was $56. Just crazy.

Hello. Writing from a large city in Mexico. We had a strong earthquake here yesterday and just had a big aftershock at 3:30 am. Seeing your video has helped me calm down. Food prices are much cheaper here than in US, more similar to Georgia although recently after the Pandemic certain items that were always cheap in Mexico have skyrocketed such as avocados and lemons. So good to see you happy and healthy with your growing family! Best wishes always.
I am from the US. I live in the eastern US in Maryland and you were able to get quite a bit for $99. Here it is so much more expensive. You are in a good place financially I think.
It's so interesting to see everyday things like food shopping from other parts of the world! I live in Sweden and we have very few food markets, most people get everything from big supermarkets. The vegetables, fruits and bread are definitely more expensive in Sweden. The bread you got would probably have been around 2 USD here. The supermarket items seem to be about the same price though.
how much money do you earn there? and how much money a georgian person earns there? so, ya, it seems cheap for you, but the minum income in Georgia is 300 dolars, so................. it is not cheap at all for the people that live there. It is fcking expensive.
@@miloserneculaes3001 Yes of course, the peoples income has a lot to do with how much things cost. I just answered Vika’s question about where we live and the prices here 😊 But you are right, we do earn quite a bit more in Sweden than in Georgia.
@@navarrolight I’m a technician and I earn less than that. But 2000-2500 USD after paid taxes is quite common. But then again, everything is more expensive.
Don't worry, in Roumania we have the same price and lower salary, like the minimum is 300 euro per month.. :) and we are in EU. Good that I don't buy from supermarket, no taste, just no taste. :)
Oh my gosh. WAY more. We've had supply chain issues here since the pandemic, and all the prices have soared. My husband would fall in love with these shops; he loves to cook. Thanks for sharing it along with the roadside views. Everyday stuff is always the most interesting when exploring other countries. :)
I come from Romania, we have roadside shops, which are actually just vendors , and the at home shops pretty similar to the Georgian ones. I got a bit actually melancholic seeing those places, feels and looks a lot like home, Of course there are so many shops like penny kaufland real etc, it' s where we would buy the chemicals like detergents cleaning supplies, some others things that might be cheaper. The prices are a lot bigger. I think a lot of the products are quite more expensive than in Germany which is where I currently live.
I think we had a little shop like this at the end of our street when I was a little girl. Maybe it belonged to the Syrian people or some other Arab people that lived near us. I don't know. I was 5 years old or less. I wish I had asked later on that there wasn't anything to make me think about it.
very interesting- your vegetables and fruit are much less money than where I live in the USA in Massachusetts…. meat seems cheaper as well, the sour cream was more than here … all in all, great prices- and as you said, very fresh!!
Thank you! One of the things I miss most about not traveling is going food shopping in other countries. I went food shopping last night in New Jersey (USA) and I spent about the same, though I did not get any meat/fish. The cost of food here has gone up a lot. I would have eaten that bread on the way home too!
That’s amazing! I’m from WA state in the U.S. and groceries are so expensive right now. It’s amazing that you were able to purchase all of that fresh food for less that $100.

Our groceries in the US are much more expensive. It has been hot and dry this year, and our little garden is finally producing tomatoes. Cucumbers did not grow well, but the peppers loved the weather! Earlier we had beets and cabbage. It is so nice you can get such lovely produce
I always love your videos showing different food, they make me hungry! That's one of the main things I miss about traveling, all the different food in different countries.
When I visit Russia I fell in love with Russian food espeially Shashlik but also blinis and the breads, solyanka, piroshki (and a bit of vodka and kvass) !!!You are so fortunate to be able to shop that way .... the chickens look lovely with all that yellow fat, so much better than the mass produced ones sold at grocery stores. The vegetables are beautiful.
I live in South Dakota, a state in the midwest or the plains of the US. The amount of the fruit and veggies that you showed us would have cost me approximately $34 and it would not have been as fresh and wonderful looking as your table. Two whole chickens would be about $10 and the beef, well, cut like that for shashlik (shish-ka-bob) would have been about $25 all by itself. I just love your videos about grocery shopping, it's so much fun to compare. It's so great that you enjoy cooking with fresh foods and everything you've shown us over the years has looked so delicious. My husband and I are now fans of buckwheat! Until I saw your videos I had never cooked it. It's amazing all of the meals you can prepare using it. Thanks, Victoria and family!
So jealous of the freshness that you have available to you. I am actually searching for farms in my area which is Warner Robins, GA, to find fresh foods. Our veggies/fruits are much higher here but meats are about the same but by no means the same quality. Thank you so much for sharing.
That was cool. It reminds me of farmers markets here in Ireland, that are still like this. Thank God for Lidl and Aldi though. The food they have here in Ireland is amazing quality. For those that don't know, they are major German supermarkets that are all over Europe, and really multiplied very fast here in Ireland over the last 15 or so years since they first came here. But I still love the small local food stalls. That's a very impressive amount of food for just under $100 US though. But I think you could still get the same, for roughly the same price here in Ireland, maybe.
Aldis has really taken off here in the USA in the last few years. I enjoy shopping there but the closest store is about 10 miles away, and with gas so high I am not going that far to shop.
@@ginger1549 🙂 yeah. I forgot they appeared in the USA too. Apparently they started in post WW2 Germany, when everyone was really poor, so there was a need to offer people food at the lowest possible prices. So I get why that spread around the world. They sort of dominated over the local supermarket chains here in Ireland, like "SuperValue".
Victoria, I love your videos. You have such a sweet personality. I liked seeing the little store where you bought meat, bread etc. I hope you enjoy your guests and food tomorrow.
Your grocery prices are great and the produce looks so beautiful and fresh. My husband is a butcher, so I find it interesting to see butcher shops in other areas of the world. I live in the US and groceries have gotten so expensive here. Actually, everything is getting expensive here.

I actually love that you buy things from small business. Every looks so fresh. Living in the USA we buy most things at supermarkets. This video was so relaxing to watch.
All these items in the USA in my local area in Michigan would be about $250. Inflation is outrageous. My jaw has dropped to see the comparison. Thank you for posting!

How fortunate to get so much food for that price! I miss having fruit/vege stands as it's always so much better. How beautiful Agatha is, growing so quickly. Is she enjoying being a big sister? Enjoy your guests! Looks like you're going to prepare a wonderful meal for them
Hey Vika, Tolya, Agatha and Adelina! Great video, That was a TON of food for such a price! Also, it's the harvest season right now, and you were shopping local markets close to the farms, so probably that's why there was so much at such great prices. In a metro area two hours from farms, it would probably cost more. Lots of prep and cooking ahead, looks like. Wishing you a happy Georgian Celebration!
I love watching people doing normal life activities in other countries. It makes me feel more like I am there, because I can relate to it more. (If that makes sense.) Everything looks so delicious. I wish I could smell that bread through the screen!
How lovely! Reminded me of my country, Malta, back to before we joined the EU and started having so many regulations that threw all the small businesses out of business! Sadly the way forward is to have everything traced and regularised and bought from the great chains of supermarkets!
I live by myself and spend about $400. US. Your food looks so fresh. I buy from big grocery store chain and have it delivered. Bread looked yummy. I love fresh baked bread.
Wow!! So lucky! Here (Seattle WA, USA) one apple is about $2, and cucumbers are about $1 each. One whole small rôtissoire chicken for me is about $7. My eggs & milk are around $3 each. I had to stop buying beef because it sky-rocketed to $28 for a package from Costco, which is cheaper than the $12 for two patties at the local grocery store. I also don’t buy cereal anymore since the prices went up to about $4/box. I don’t buy nuts of any kind anymore either… the cheapest nuts here that are *not* just peanuts are pistachios for $8 a bag. You had a great shopping haul i would say! I’m jealous lol☺️👏🏼
Everything looks delish! It is so interesting to see how people from other countries do the same daily things that we do. Thanks for sharing and I hope you all enjoy your gathering🎉
Watching from Houston, Texas USA. Just went to grocery store today and spent $270 dollars for one week of groceries. We're experiencing inflation right now in our country. It's sad. I live in the northeast of the US and we would spend probably twice that on groceries at least and we go to things called farmers markets for the vegetables if we don't get them in the store but we do take a drive out to the country to get bulk amounts of vegetables like bushels and vegetables if we do canning. Thank you for sharing your videos!

We also drive on the opposite side of the road to you. 🤗 Thank you for sharing. Love seeing your family. Take care and God bless. 🌹Rosie of Oz🇦🇺 & 🐶Omega the Cavalier🐶
Just crazy.
I come originally from Georgia and live in Switzerland now. It’s such a pleasure to watch your videos, I even feel the taste of georgian bread 😍
Thank you for the interesting videos.
Enjoy the party with your neighbours and give hugs to your girls 🤗
P.S. in Switzerland you need probably 250 $ or more for all those things.

We spend $800 a week on groceries in New York City. But we have a family of 12. ❤️ Loved your vlog!
It was fun to see where you buy some of your food. The vegetables looked amazing!

I am from the US. I live in the eastern US in Maryland and you were able to get quite a bit for $99. Here it is so much more expensive. You are in a good place financially I think.
Great video. I feel its roughly the same as I pay here in the UK. Reading some of the comments, I can't believe how much things cost in the USA
@@miloserneculaes3001 Fellow swede here! A cleaning lady is earning 3000 dollars in Sweden. Go figure if you are having an University Degree:)
Looks like you did a good grocery haul. Happy party with your neighbors
Nobody can resist warm fresh bread lol. A really healthy shop though.
Oh my gosh. WAY more. We've had supply chain issues here since the pandemic, and all the prices have soared. My husband would fall in love with these shops; he loves to cook. Thanks for sharing it along with the roadside views. Everyday stuff is always the most interesting when exploring other countries. :)
Such kindness, generosity and love is really wonderful to see in all of your posts,i'm so happy i found your channel.
I come from Romania, we have roadside shops, which are actually just vendors , and the at home shops pretty similar to the Georgian ones. I got a bit actually melancholic seeing those places, feels and looks a lot like home,
Of course there are so many shops like penny kaufland real etc, it' s where we would buy the chemicals like detergents cleaning supplies, some others things that might be cheaper.
The prices are a lot bigger.
I think a lot of the products are quite more expensive than in Germany which is where I currently live.
I also come from Romania and live in Germany now and can totally relate to what it was said 😂

Interesting video. All that food in California would cost about $300. Meat is outrageous right now. I see Tolya’s driving now. You must be so happy with your freedom to travel with a car. Life seems good all around for you and your beautiful family. Have a great celebration with your neighbors!

Seconding this: Would love to see you exploring more of beautiful Georgia. :)
Hello from Brazil. I am so glad you left Russia with your husband!!!! God bless you and your people!
Wonderful video ! I’m originally from Romania but immigrated to the US and this reminded me of home. Everything looked delicious 😊
Good job with the shopping! Loved the end. Real life with wee ones. 🙂
We also have Lidl here in Sweden and as you say, they have amazing quality, and a lot cheaper than other major companies.

Hey Vika, Tolya, Agatha and Adelina! Great video, That was a TON of food for such a price! Also, it's the harvest season right now, and you were shopping local markets close to the farms, so probably that's why there was so much at such great prices. Wow!!
