I think it’s called Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared because when you are scared your usual instinct is to want a hug. The television series is trying to get children to go against their instincts. Another thing is that most children who are abused are afraid of getting hugged, and the main cast is tortured by the teachers in pretty much every episode.
Okay, for people who don't know, Wakey Wakey is coming on (uk) channel 4. Its 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 to come out mid summer 2021, but a official formal relese date has not been said.For now, hold on, because things like these take a LONG time, and effort, so don't judge them for making it so late to come out.

No it doesn't, just because of a couple of Easter eggs doesn't mean it's part of the series, if anything the puppets Episode is a spinoff
I disagree. Becky and Joan never do things without reason. Just because it didn't feature the iconic characters, it could very well have been something like a short inside an episode (which it technically was), like in Sesame Street. There are plenty of short cartoon or puppet bits in Sesame Street episodes that don't feature the iconic cast, but it is still part of the Sesame Street franchise.
