- Sheldon and his sister Elizabeth (Lizzy) where born here on the farm in 2017. She has joined us for a while while her owner makes some changes on their fam and has been fitting in well with the others. All nine kid goats are now a month old and can be seen most days running and playing in the yard.

Another great video update on what's happening at The 10 Acre Woods. It's so lovely to see everybody outside in the sunshine. Lizzy is a pretty little girl. I think it would be neat to see how you work the laser engraver for your craft projects.
Suggestions for naming the little boy goat: "Sam" after the metal Samarium, "Indie" after the metal Indium, "Frank" after the metal Francium or , "Zinc" because it's just stinkin' cute!

Hi Mark, nice video as always. Those kid goats are growing so fast. Thanks for the chicken segment. Those eggs become less viable to hatch after a week so probably eat those. I look forward to a detailed video on your new nest boxes and chickens too. There are some great wall mount metal nesting boxes with the roll away feature or regular on Amazon or Ebay. They have 3 or 6 hole options and they are easy to clean. Have you thought about getting new layer chicks to raise for Spring? Take care! Justine
The hens know best, they will lay what they need, then sit. Yes we are checking all options. We are going to let the hens(two of them right now,) hatch out newbies.

We have not had to use anything for the pond, just movement and aeration. If you would like to know the product that we have not yet used, I can check the container for the name.

Hey Stephanie, here are the products that were left with us when the pond was lined...
Phosclear, is a clearing agent (Aluminum Sulfate) used after any algicide is used and the PH is below 8
Cutrine Plus Granular Algaecide, is used to kill bottom growing algae in potable water reservoirs.
GreenClean PRO Granular Algaecide, (Sodium Carbonate) is used to kill algae that is suspended in the water.
We have not had to use these products likely due to the water movement, aeration and regular water top ups throughout the summer. I will work on a video once I do a little more research on these products and test the PH of the pond and take actual measurements.

Any recognition between Lizzie and mom and brother? Now how did you fix the waterpump? I've got a broken one too, but the motor burnt.
Nothing from Blackie but her and Sheldon hit it off right away. The pump had some debris in the impeller area and once cleared was fine. The pump we have is a heavy duty sewage pump and can handle quite a bit.
