Agree. I did it in 85 seconds, the flight that picked me up the next day did it in 65 seconds, and I was told it has been done in 52 seconds. Also Sanday to Stronsay, also on the Orkney Islands was done in less than 4 minutes.
Saw an amusing landing of an Islander at Port Stanley. Approaching in a fairly strong wind that would have given him a touch down speed of about 20mph, about 5 feet off the ground the wind dropped to almost nothing and he suddenly found his touch down speed had risen by about 20 mph. Have to say that the pilot handled it well though, I guess he was well used to the vagaries of the Falkland Islands winds
He looked like he was in hurry. Fastest checklist I ever saw.
About 15 secs
In Summer there is a 5 minute flight every 20 minutes. The pilots do a quick outside check when they close the doors, thats it.
fas tbh relativly slow and yeah they are a bit in Hurry sometimes but still paying attention on Safety
Isn't the Islander called the world's fastest moving solid object?
Great Video! TY.
wow upgraded cockpit on the ISLANDER easy to read it improves checklist time by 100 percent
these things look so fun to fly, it's like an oversized twin engined cub that can actually move at a decent speed
Westray to Papa Westray is the shortest scheduled flight in the world.
It is

I live in the Falklands. And yes he is pilot who is used to the wind here.
All the jazz in the cockpit most not needed.

Yes as I discovered when I googled it.
