Hi Adam, the price of 1 unit of Mega Boom 3 can buy 2 units of EarFun Uboom and when you put two UBOOM in TWS, the 360 sound projection is fantastic! The only drawback of Uboom is the battery capacity.

Great review & great speaker. Only issue I have is u can’t pair any of the smaller WonderBooms 1 or 2 with it. UE doesn’t have an app for the smaller WonderBooms. Bugger.
Ah yeah that is a drawback, I guess. But hey, if it's any consolation, at least you can pair it up with 150 Megabooms for the ULTIMATE BOOOOOOOM!

One life hack: Put a rubber band around and it can hold that flappy thing without touching the cable when charging.

IMO, the Megaboom 3 is the better option because it has better bass and is larger (and louder) than the Boom 3. The Megaboom 3 also has longer battery life.

The Megablast is the largest and loudest speaker available from the company. It’s marginally better but is more expensive, and the Megaboom 3 is only a small step down from the Megablast. The Megablast has a more powerful bass, but you won’t notice it that much compared to the Megaboom 3. I say the Megaboom 3 is more justified if there is a significant price difference. However, if you want Alexa functionality, then get the Megablast. All the best!

I would give it a 9 or 9.5 out of 10. As mentioned in the video, my only gripe is having Micro USB instead of USB C and the annoying flap. However, these problems can be ingnored if you use the wireless charging dock. Btw, Whathifi, which is famous for reviewing speakers, gave it a solid 5 out of 5.

Now remember, every speaker has a different audio profile, so make sure you listen to it before you buy it. While other speakers may have punchier bass, I felt they were distorted. This speaker has a solid, punchy bass and more balanced treble and mids. It's bass is more than enough, although its mids are a bit recessed. Good luck man 👍🏻

I don't like the colored bass. Sure, it gives the perception of bass below 80Hz but its an auditorial illusion, not only does it saturate the bass and kicks adding something that isn't in the original tracks but it lacks real weight and presence. Not a fan. I had the UE Megaboom 1 and it didn't do this particular trick, and I much preferred it. It sounded cleaner.
Thank you for your feedback. That's strange though, the UE Megaboom 1 is not supposed to be better than the Megaboom 3! Each person has a preferred audio profile. I am very happy with this speaker, but if you don't like it, then it's fine. Find the one that works for you.
@@WYSbyAdamLash Newer doesn't always mean better. A great example is the "new" KRK studio monitors, or JBL Xtreme 2 is more balanced and louder than the 3. Or UE add extra processing tricks to give their speakers a more appealing sound to the everyday person. Sound is widely subjective but if you listen to good speakers or studio monitors that don't color sound, or compare other speakers you'll notice what I'm talking about. In my opinion the ideal speaker should recreate the music as honestly as possible, within limits of a given size of course. But I feel like I'm more hearing the effect of the speaker rather than what the producer/musician/engineers have done. Other than a dip in the mids I find the JBL Xtreme to be very honest with music, albeit with a slight smiley curve on the EQ. But I prefer something like that than artifacts that are introduced into the sound to change the perception of bass, that can't be EQed out. Again, it's not something someone would notice unless they listen to higher end equipment in the home or car. Maybe I'm "audio elitist" but these speakers are the same price as the UE that objectively go for a less processed sound. Some think that sounds worse. To my ears it sounds closer to a real home system and less like a louder iPad.

That's normal. I experienced the same thing at times. Most bluetooth speakers exhibit the same behavior.

I just bought it yesterday and it died after 4 hrs. On a full charge . So what can I do to make it last longer???
Hmmm that sucks. It should have lasted longer. I am not sure what the reason js, nor how to make it last longer. I guess turning it off when not in use would prolong battery life.
