Why do we have to celebrate communion after we receive Him Who is the bread of life in us!! It’s like we don’t have life only when we get the cup of grape juice and a piece of bread 🙄that’s symbolic Ken ! It’s not a ritual or a work! We remember of Jesus every day because is in us,His Life is in us! THE BREAD OF LIFE! It’s not the piece of bread or wine that give you life! Is Jesus!!! Jesus!
Greetings and thank you for your question. I am aware of this new doctrine which is circulating in some parts of the church. The reason we celebrate communion is because Jesus instituted it and instructed us to 'do this in remembrance of Me' and also the apostles and early church participated in it. Unlike the types and shadows of the old covenant, this belongs to the new covenant. Also, unlike the old covenant it has never been revoked or declared obsolete. So it is arrogant for anyone to cancel something which Christ has instituted for the church and instructed us to participate in. It is a man-made doctrine; a false teaching. Of course, we know that Jesus is the Bread of Life but Jesus instituted communion as one way we can celebrate this fact. The Word of God is also the Bread of Life, shall we cease reading it because we know that it speaks of Jesus and we have Him now? I have shared more on this in one of my Q&A sessions. Brother Ken,I don’t know what are you talking about that this is a doctrine or a heretic teaching because I got it from the Holy Spirit and I don’t listen to anybody,i am on your online grace bible school.Jesus his talking about Him directly not the food ,earthly food(bread and grape juice).It doesn’t make sense Ken,please take this advice and meditate on it.Think like this: I’m in a tribe or in a country where there’s no wine or bread and if I’m not taking that I don’t have Life?! So Jesus has to sacrifice over and over again every time i get the bread and wine even if i Have Him and He’s in me,His Life!His Blood Jesus is taking about is the New Covenant That we will enter Mark14:22-25! Next The new wine we will drink it in the Kingdom of God with Him! So we still have to do rituals in Grace? So if an unbeliever comes and gets the bread and wine at your church that means he will have eternal life and salvation even if he doesn’t understand Grace and His Sacrifice?! For example, if partaking of the Lord’s Table is necessary in order to receive grace, then grace is not really free and must be earned by deeds we perform, in contradiction of Titus 3:5 . And, if the bread is actually the body of Christ, then the Lord is being sacrificed again and again, in contradiction of Romans 6:9-10 .every day I remember of Him,what he did for me and who i am in Christ. understanding that we are saved by grace, through faith, apart from works Ephesians 2:8-9 and considering Jesus’ words concerning the elements of communion to be figurative, we focus on the beauty of the new covenant (Matthew 26:28 brought into effect by Jesus’ own blood. We remember His sacrifice for us as often as we partake of supper. And we look forward to once again sharing the cup with Christ in the kingdom of God Matthew 26:29 Mark 14:25 Luke 22:18
