When I was in high school like 18 years ago, I found him from more hipster music scenes that focused on lesser known artists.
It's honestly weird seeing him named alongside Skrillex.
Four Tet's first two or three albums meant a lot to me in high school. Then like a decade later I saw the double he did with Burial and that was amazing.

He shortened the loop to 16's then used the pitch effect to make it sound like a back spin... then he cut the record at the exact moment that the following track hit its two random drum hits.
