For anybody interested in the R50 Pathfinder, here’s my AutoBlog review: *A Tough, Reliable Car For Adventurers* Purchased my 1999.5 Pathy new in ‘99 in the Northern California valley. This car has taken countless trips up to our family cabin all the way up in the Sierra Nevadas, fully loaded with kids and gear. Driven through rough dirt roads (some were’t even roads at all:) ) in bad conditions. Handled it flawlessly. 4x4 is the only way to go on this truck, trust me. Tows like a champ. Provides a reasonably comfortable ride for all passengers on bad roads. Exterior styling is perfect. Ridgid, but tasteful. Interior is nicely designed, but could incorporate a more space-efficient layout when seats are down. Alright. On to reliability. This car is, by far, the most dependable vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it since it was bought new, and have NEVER had a single engine problem with it. Approaching 300,000 miles, running strong. This car reminds me of the old Toyota LandCruiser ads from the 70s. “Built Tough To Get You There... ...And Back.” Emphasis on the ‘and back’. Seriously, this truck is my buddy. It’s like my friend that goes everywhere with me, because it has the ability to go anywhere. And that’s why I’ll never own another car: because I won’t need to. Ever. *PLEASE NOTE:* I am in no way affiliated with the seller of this vehicle. Just an R50 Pathy owner of 19 years (and counting). My old girl is still running strong (and still 100% stock)!
Same here, old champ, same here. I have a '99 model and I've been everywhere in rough country, prospecting for gold. This amazing vehicle has never let me down once. Two years ago I replaced the CV shafts only because the rubber boots had cracked after years of being subjected to rough work.
Damn it's been a month since I post this the car only work 3 days and stop working having problem with the dealerships for like a month and two they're do not want to work on my car
The 2001 PATHFINDER DOESN'T GET THE RESPECT IT TRULY DESERVES!BUILT VERY DURIABLE ONE OF THE STRONGEST ENGINES MADE, BULLET PROOF, TOYOTA MEET YOUR MATCH ,OR TOYOTA TRY TO KEEP UP!
I never heard anyone talking shit about these? This engine was great in everything. Even the Quest was great. Toyota drivers are people that don't drive. They don't beat on their cars. Nissan was always about performing. The Maxima 4DSC.....
With only 65k? Hell, for a Nissan that thing is practically untouched! Honestly, you could probably get a good 7k out of it, assuming it’s in perfect condition. If its got rust, damage, electrical issues, etc, you could still get a solid 3-5k depending on severity of problem.
Hello I I'm motor engineer from Nigeria please I'm faceing difficulty from this pathfinder it was just rolling but not stating and have change all the sensor is still desame thing please what can I do again
What a beautiful vehicle, just like the 1996.
That's freaking incredible!! And No Rust Spots on it either!!!
I have one of these cars exactly like this with beige interior. One heck of a vehicle!
