The plastic is known engineered food grade plastic. There are no chemicals or taste going into the coffee. And if you think that filter is chemical free, think again. It's not. Besides, without the little exit hole in the bottom, the coffee sprinkles all over the place creating a splashy mess.

Happy you hacked the k cup as we previously discussed! I'm gonna give it a go. Have you tried SF Bay k cups? Apparently they've been making their k cups this way for some time and are pretty good, according to reviews I've seen.

Hello Lucas, there's a product called recycle a cup that does all that for you. Check it out and maybe do a video on it

You could do one better and just buy the cups that are already compostable (without classic plastics) in the first place. That way you’re supporting the companies already going in the right direction.

The problem is they don't stay fresh for long and they are not really taking off so not a lot of selection. Also some people already have hundreds of plastic kcup in there homes lol
But I totally agree with you. I think a compromise or middle ground would be to make a kcup out of compostable material like some chip bags. That way they will stay fresh and keep the plant green 🌎♻️

That’s simple- put them in a large coffee bean container; sealed jar; zip lock; etc... Also, Check out San Francisco Coffee Co.

Every month I feel more cheated by kcups they find a way to justify making the filters smaller because now their machines make the coffee stronger.

Yeah I know what you are saying. Buy a reusable kcup and load it with pre-ground coffee ☕️ 😋

But you still have the plastic you cut off. If you say, I am recycling it, think again. Research where we send our plastic. Watch the documentary called Plastic China.

Recycling was half the thinking my main point was your coffee isn't being run through plastic. I think the kcups without the plastic are the way to go, or they need to make them out of aluminum.

but you're still increasing plastic use even if you cut the plastic off. I'm just gonna throw the whole keruig away period. Such a scam machine.

Yeah that's why I like the kpods with almost no plastic...this video was more for not brewing coffee in plastic.
