A few points I'd like to suggest. 1: It's always best and safest practice to disconnect the 12V battery before starting work on an HV system. Redundant safety to ensure the HV system is discharged, plus ensures there's no risk of damage to CU's that are being unplugged. 2: The orange clip can easily be removed with the handle of the service disconnect. It has a notch cut into it specifically for that purpose. 3: Most importantly, you should ALWAYS verify the HV system is discharged with a multimeter BEFORE disconnecting the positive and negative cables. That's an extremely important safety measure that needs to be expressed to anyone, especially DIYers that may attempt this repair. As a bonus, you should also mention the need to use HV safety gloves when doing this. I know a lot of us professionals don't bother with it in the case of doing these, but since this is instructional I think you'd be safer stressing that. Overall, good video. Just wanted to possibly help for other videos. Keep it up!
I'm looking into getting one of these cars definitely makes me want one seeing how easy it is to replace the battery in case it does crap out in us later
Hi, is there a way to test each cell of the battery pack on this car without an advanced scan tool? Can the battery pack be opened to do so? Thanks for this video
I am actually not sure, If you message me on Instagram I work with a Nissan master tech maybe he would know. send the vehicle info. Thanks for watching
That's a lot of work to change that battery. A lot of things to keep tract of for reassembly. There certainly won't be any lack of work with the new EVs.
You know it seems like a lot but it really isn't that bad at all. If I was not filming and trying to make sure I have the best info it would have went really quick. But I understand what you are saying. Thank you for watching.
My siblings have hybrids but Toyota not nissan so they recommendd the unplug battery and/or the main power cord and let it sit for 10 minutes and that usually fixes there problem
I have a Nissan altima 2007 hybrid , is anyone know cheap dealer with installation? I bought battery 5 year's ago from Green bean battery company but my warranty will expire in 3 months, ( i paid $ 1899 first time when I bought it )
