i have used this design over and over it is great! when on official i usually get to big to live in it but i make it work and usually turn the griffin pen into an indi forge and remove the door next to the generator. keep it up 😁

They got found once and someone drained about 3000 bullets before giving up (not sure why they didn't just ram a c4 raft through it) But other than the one time being found, they were never found again or sunk. Keep in mind I was the Alpha at the time, so a lot fewer people would be searching for the boats in the first place.
Yeas you can, but you need a way to water the plant species X if you are going to place them(irrigation pipes cant be placed on rafts). Auto turrets can be placed.
Unfortunately, it seems the Ark mobile came with changes. I can´t place a stach ceilling under water. I place the pillars but then it tells me that it doesnt have snap points on it. Also, I had to work around, to get the floors at different levels. Also, it doesnt let you place the large crop plot on the sloped roof...
It could be mobile, it could just be ARK. They ruin this stuff all the time. I'll need to experiment with some raft building again to see if anything has been ruined on PC or not.
@@zacforrest3898 I just like it the way it is. The motorboat itself is strong enough that you don't really need to fully encase the raft as it is considered a metal structure.

You could try putting that last pillar down then demolishing the foundation underneath it, then placing the foundation at the lower snap. Though frankly, I've been testing this out today, and I seem to be getting foundation obstructed at the lower point no matter what I do, though I built a boat 3 days ago with no problem, so I'll need to mess around some more and check with some other people. If this is a new change to the boat building, I'll have to come up with a work around.
So it looks like this has been broken in the last patch. So for this particular boat design, I would place 5 foundations at the higher level, and leave the left spot with no foundation (Left when facing toward the front of the boat) You would still be able to access the boat at that point.

What do you mean build a pillar down with ceiling to protect? Do you still put turrets on it?

Awesome, I love when someone gets good value from one of the rafts. I haven't played ARK in a minute, so I'm not sure if any of them are still valid.

I dont seem to be able to place the two ceilings at the front like you did at 2:34, does anyone know how to fix this?

@@areus2016 the normal rain in the game will keep them watered. I've never had to water any of my plants on the rafts.

How does the underwater part with the turrets move along with the boat if the pillar isnt connected to the raft

Are you trying to place heavy turrets? You can only place regular wimpy turrets on rafts.

Yeah, because the turrets underneath are to kill the Leedsichthys, otherwise they'll destroy your boat.

press the cycle snap point button, which is q for me (I believe that is the default key for pc)
i tried using the snap point cycle on xbox but when i have the foundation set it doesnt place even though its green and not obstructed
