This was a truly incredible moment. By this point Freddy was already secretly living with AIDS for several years, and had stopped touring. He actually grew the beard to hide the pock marks of the disease in the videos. The fact that he was in that much pain but still could sing like that and carry himself with all of his charisma speaks volumes to how much he loved what he did. Simply a legend in every sense of the word.

@@lilsuzq32 I've heard he also didn't want his illness to become the focal point. One of the most iconic voices ever. This song is one of my favorites. I'm kinda curious to see if Jamel could keep a dry eye listening to "Who wants to live forever"...Who's with me?
It's definitely from the 1989 album The Miracle. It was actually released as the first single shortly before the album's release. I worked in a record store those days, it was the absolute golden age of CD sales. All new stuff was released on CD but also all the old albums, back catalogues, were now released on CD. And even more, all these stupid idiots (re)bought their old favorites from the Mid-Price CD series, AAD all the way. Wonder if these discs are still working. My vinyl albums still do.
Later Queen is just as great as early Queen. A lot more emotion and meaning in the later stuff, especially on the Miracle, Innuendo, and Heaven albums.
It was Brian May's current wife(mistress at that time) that told Brian I want it all and I want it now as he was exiting the stage. It was the first time she had seen fan reaction to their music.
I was a teacher for 35 years, mostly in 8th grade. Whenever I was having trouble with kids not completing assignments I would start the after-school Queen's Club. Students with missing work stayed after school on Thursdays until everything was up-to-date. Each Queen's Club gathering started with "I Want it All" played very loudly with me lip syncing - I want it all and I want it now! Then, while I worked with the students, I played classic rock more softly in the background. Quite often, other students just dropped into my room to complete the next day's homework and enjoy the music!

Such a great song. Freddie was one of a kind. Little side note about the song. With its message about fighting for one's own goals it became an anti-apartheid protest song in South Africa.
Freddie had a beard because of the scars of AIDS treatments. He was sick here, feeling pain, but still had energy to give us amazing vocals. That's why he is a true Legend, the best of the best, darling
Freddie holds a special place for me. I got to see Queen twice in Germany in the 80’s as a military dependent growing up there. In 1991, my oldest son was born 3 months premature late on the night of November 23rd. The next day Freddie died. The two events, life and death of both of them will always be linked together. I think of one, and there is the other. Thanks Jamel for this, my favorite Queen song. It was rumored he was sick by this album, but no one knew for sure. Freddie was really being affected physically by HIV at this point. I remember when this video came out and my buddy and I were like, the rumors must be true because he looks so thin and sickly. You should check out the official video for The Miracle from this same album (also called The Miracle). Knowing you, you will LOVE that video and song.
Nice shirt, LOL. Also Queen are my favorite band. I'll be 41 this year and I've loved them since the late 80's early 90's. I was 9 when he died. This came out around 1989 / 1990 I believe. Cuz it wasn't very long before he died in 91.

This was the best music when I was a teenager and listened to the best...... Great Times - keep them coming Jamel. You have inspired a new crossover of individuals who may never had to chance to hear the best music ever made; in the 60's 70's and 80's.

This was a one take video and not too long before Freddie passed away, when you see him with long sleeves and the beard,or in These Are The Days Of Our Lives no beard,he stopped working around late June of 1991 and died November 1991
Roger Daltrey at the '92 Freddie Mercury tribute concert did a fantastic version of this. The whole concert is worth watching - some of the biggest names ever doing Queen songs (and a few others). David Bowie's bit was legendary. He did "Under Pressure", "Heroes" and "All the Young Dudes". Just awesome!
Some people may have already mentioned this but their song _Mother Love_ is another great one, recorded during Freddie's final months and he still managed to belt out those powerful vocals.
Well that was a fantastic way to start my Friday morning!! LOVED this song since it's release in '89. Powerful doesn't even begin to describe it! Such an anthem, such a band!! Long live Queen!!
Beautiful strong song! Freddie was very sick, but his raspy voice I love. He was so full of power, I have so much respect for Freddie and the guys. Many thanks for reacting to this vid. Hope to see more, I suggest Innuendo, also very strong lyrics. A true masterpiece. Much bless to You dear, and keep up the good work.
Freddie was amazing and the fact that he was really really sick at this point is incredible but, on this song...Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Dr. Brian May (1 of the great guitarists of all time).
This is a track from their album The Miracle; Brian had said at the time that it was his favorite album because all members of Queen were credited with its' writing, as opposed to individual ones. Another good track is Hang On In There: it's about pushing the pause button when one is contemplating giving up. Congrats on your award; I think we can get mr video there, as well. Thoughtful of you to offer encouragement. Peace...
Roger Daltrey did an incredible version of this at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Brian played guitar and was joined by Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi. It was a brilliant performance, well worth checking out.
About 15 years ago, Mike and Mike in the Morning (sports talk on ESPN radio) ran a promotion where they gave away free TVs and they used this song as the intro music. I considered myself a fan of Queen but literally never heard that song. This is one of their best and definitely for the later years.
The single version with longer guitar intro is the better version IMHO, but this is still my favorite Queen song. That opening guitar solo just rips your face off. Long live her Royal Majesty!

Lyrics:
[Intro: Queen]
I want it all (Hey, yeah), I want it all
I want it all, and I want it now
[Verse 1: Freddie Mercury]
Adventure seeker on an empty street
Just an alley creeper light on his feet
A young fighter screaming
With no time for doubt
With the pain and anger
Can't see a way out
[Pre-Chorus: Freddie Mercury]
"It ain't much I'm asking"
I heard him say
"Got to find me a future
Move out of my way"
[Chorus: Queen]
I want it all, I want it all
I want it all, and I want it now
I want it all, I want it all
I want it all, and I want it now
[Verse 2: Freddie Mercury]
Listen, all you people, come gather 'round
I gotta get me a game plan
Gotta shake you to the ground
Just give me what I know is mine
People, do you hear me?
Just give me the sign
[Pre-Chorus: Freddie Mercury]
It ain't much I'm asking
If you want the truth
Here's to the future
For the dreams of youth
[Chorus: Queen]
I want it all, I want it all
(Give it all, I want it all)
I want it all, and I want it now (Hey)
I want it all, I want it all
(Yes, I want it all, hey)
I want it all, and I want it now
[Bridge: Brian May (and Freddie Mercury)]
I'm a man with a one-track mind
So much to do in one lifetime
(People, do you hear me?)
Not a man for compromise
And where's and why's and living lies
So I'm living it all (Yes, I'm living it all)
And I'm giving it all
(And I'm giving it all, ooh, yeah)
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
(I want it all)

please react to Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives - you will be shocked
Freddie was really being affected physically by HIV at this point. I remember when this video came out and my buddy and I were like, the rumors must be true because he looks so thin and sickly.
You should check out the official video for The Miracle from this same album (also called The Miracle). Knowing you, you will LOVE that video and song.
Nice shirt, LOL. Also Queen are my favorite band. I'll be 41 this year and I've loved them since the late 80's early 90's. I was 9 when he died. This came out around 1989 / 1990 I believe. Cuz it wasn't very long before he died in 91.
Freddie is the GOAT!! Long live Queen
May's red special on display. A fireplace mantel turned guitar. Love that story
QUEEN - never to be duplicated; Freddy the best Front Man EVER! Thank God for You Tube so the up and coming generation can see real Talent..... This was the best music when I was a teenager and listened to the best...... Great Times - keep them coming Jamel. You have inspired a new crossover of individuals who may never had to chance to hear the best music ever made; in the 60's 70's and 80's.
timeless no one can touch the sexiness & sheer talent in queen especially FM HE HAD IT TO THE 9;S
Blessed to see them w Freddie 2xs
1978 & 1982
They rocked HARD in concert back then
Very unique & musically diverse group!!
I love your reactions so much because you love good music and you have always something positive to say. Very inspirational. I think you will love Queen‘s The Miracle. The video is adorable and the lyrics are just beautiful.
Dr. Brian May...out of this world guitarist!
This was a one take video and not too long before Freddie passed away, when you see him with long sleeves and the beard,or in These Are The Days Of Our Lives no beard,he stopped working around late June of 1991 and died November 1991
Brain wrote an absolute banger here! Utterly superb.

Some people may have already mentioned this but their song _Mother Love_ is another great one, recorded during Freddie's final months and he still managed to belt out those powerful vocals.
love this song and Love Queen!!!! Still grieve when I see Freddie.....and John Lennon....some things ..you don't get over!!!
@Anthony Blakely
Same here, for Freddie & John. Both just cut too deep.💙🌿💚
Queen live at Wembley. Just the opening few songs. The way they instantly capture the crowd.
Roger Daltrey of the Who killed this song at the Freddie tribute concert. One of Queens greatest songs in my opinion.
IMHO. No singer performs and delivers power, passion and humour better than Freddie.
This is also one of my favorite Brian May leads.
Well that was a fantastic way to start my Friday morning!! LOVED this song since it's release in '89. Powerful doesn't even begin to describe it! Such an anthem, such a band!! Long live Queen!!
Maybe the most talented singer ever
Great reaction! Great performance! Love, love, love Queen 💖👑
We were so blessed to have Freddie!
Can we talk about the way Freddie can manipulate his voice to sound like a completely different singer. Pure genius.
Here's a must see... Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson song "There must be More to life than this"
Also... Queen “Heaven for Everyone “
Yay More Queen Reactions Hypers
Yes you finally got to my favorite Queen song:) The song that summed Freddie up in four words;) love your channel;)
Peace...
My favorite Queen song and my favorite video. Thanks Jamel!
Roger Daltrey did an incredible version of this at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Brian played guitar and was joined by Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi. It was a brilliant performance, well worth checking out.
Oh yeah!!!! Saludos desde Argentina!!!!
Queen is Always Wonderful!!
About 15 years ago, Mike and Mike in the Morning (sports talk on ESPN radio) ran a promotion where they gave away free TVs and they used this song as the intro music. I considered myself a fan of Queen but literally never heard that song. This is one of their best and definitely for the later years.
Thank you Jamel for keeping Great music alive! Jesus Loves you all...Enjoying the Queen and Pink Floyd reviews...thanks so much!!
I’ll be quick, been enjoying music with you for along time. I feel it too brother, rock on Jamal from Alabama.
I want it all - good health , peace , prosperity , and generally less bullsh*t .
I’m 17 and love these older classics!
Definitely one of my favorite Queen tunes. One of their best rockers!
The single version with longer guitar intro is the better version IMHO, but this is still my favorite Queen song. That opening guitar solo just rips your face off. Long live her Royal Majesty!
Gotta do The Show must go On.... one of his last vocals.. could barely stand, but it might well be the greatest vocal of his life
I haven't heard this song since the 80s.i think..this was so great seeing him
..especially in a tie. RIP. Freddie. . U are missed
