This was absolutely AWESOME!! What a great visit to your beginnings!! I can’t believe you still have all that stuff! But I guess you’re young enough... the first flip book was amazing! So was your stop-motion video! It’s funny, I’m 60 yo and I never did art as a child! I was always into science and linear thinking-type things. It wasn’t until I was 55 that I awakened my creative side! Now I do art! I do it every day because it makes me feel good! This was really great! Definitely a keeper for your future children!! Thanks!! Lauri
This is so awesome! I love hearing how other people came to love flipbooks like I do. Thank you for sharing this with us. You have a wonderful origin story! :)
I’ve just found your RUclips account & the first video I watched was your latest post the “30 years later” video & immediately I could tell how much passion you have for your work. Your videos contain knowledge about the animation world I had no idea about but find so intriguing! It’s really cool how much work goes into animated films & how much talent is involved. This video in particular made me smile a lot because I could tell that you never let your inner child get drowned out by the harsh expectations of society to get a 9-5 job & made what you love into a career & lifestyle. Thank you so much for giving viewers like me a chance to experience your content like this. I just switched my major to visual arts with a concentration in painting after 3 years of architecture school; I still have no idea what I truly want to concentrate in within the arts, I just know I wanna pursue my creativity. There’s a lot of pressure from my family & friends on what I want to do with a degree in fine arts & to switch back my major. Your thoughts on your nostalgic time travel trip about remembering that initial feeling of creating made me realize that there’s no other path for me to take other than one in the arts. Thank you for creating videos on what you love doing & sharing your art. Your passion is contagious & inspiring.
charlie winters So cool!! Isn't it?!!😜😜 No, I don't know...Andy said that the shipping date had a delay...I think you're going to receive it in February-March... I actually live in France so, I will not receive it so soon...🤣

Thank you for these videos! I love using them as a resource for my animation units in my 6th grade art class. I love your passion and how easily you explain things that the students enjoy and understand at the same time. Thanks! Keep up the good work! ❤️
@@andymation If you're ever able to help support some middle school students' passion in art, we have no light pads and could use some for our flip book lessons and much more... :) Right now our school is temporarily located in portable buildings due to Hurricane Harvey flooding last year, and we are very limited on art supplies and resources. Just something to consider... :)
I’ve just discovered your work, and I know next to nothing about you, but watching your first animation choked me up! Lovely to see someone’s find their something as a child and hold on to it. I hope you’re still as excited to see a flip book finished as you’ve ever been.
I've just recently got back into animation after many, many years having loved flip-books as a kid. My Gran used to work in a bingo hall and would give me the thick end of the used up ticket stub which made perfect little flip-books. I always wanted to animate but somewhere down the road I drifted away from it. Now I'm enjoying learning all about it again. Thanks for the trip back in time.
I love watching your videos. I play, or watch, or hear so much that involves violence and pain and all sorts of bad stuff, but since I’m a lame teen, it’s hard to find something wholesome without it being a baby show or something. your videos always help with that and it just makes me feel better

Hey Andymation, just ordered 2 of your flipbook animation kits. One for myself and another for a friend of mine. We both grew up loving classic 2d hand-drawn animation and stop motion styles, and we're considering making our own short sometime this year. These kits and your videos seem like the perfect resource to kickstart our butts into sketching, timing, frame rates, anatomy, and all other aspects. Thank you for providing so much insight and benefit to the public, animation as a medium feels so much more welcoming and transparent to learn from than other figures in areas like film or television. The lack of secrecy and total openness of your tips and history is inspiring as heck. I hope we get to make our impact in the same way you have. P.S. Kubo is in my top 10 favourite films of the decade so thank you for helping to make it!
